Normal bar food. Drinks were a bit pricey for it being just a typical bar. Bar tender was pretty awesome though, and they have a nice outdoor seating area.

Great food. I had the sliders, 3 different burgers with 3 different types of meat. SO had the buffalo burger and loved it. While she doesn’t usually branch out and try different types of meat, she loved it. The french fries and sweet poatato fries were also very good. Hand cut and fried to a crisp. Will definitely go back the next time I’m in the area.

A great place! Very casual dining but the food was very good. Always interesting to try the unusual fare like alligator bites, etc. Even the hot dogs and chili are made from bison meat. The french fries and routine offerings are of a better than average quality hand cut and fresh. I would definetly reccomend for a nice lunch even if you are not into exoctic food.

Very unique and interesting menu and very good service. I personally got meatloaf and it was very good but not a huge portion. The spaghetti and meatballs had a very standard sauce and spaghetti but had good homemade meatballs. I highly recommend the French fries, they’re homemade and delicious.

I really wanted to like this place. The menu looked interesting and the server seemed nice. However once the service part of the encounter started things went south. I was with a group of 7 people at lunch. A few ordered salads and soups to start. We all ordered entrees. To say what followed was unorganized is an understatement. My entrée came out and I was finished by the time my coworkers even got their soup(after waiting forever). Two soups had to be sent back. One smelled and tasted sour(corn chowder). The whole experience took a long time and getting drinks refilled was like pulling teeth. My wild boar reuben just had a bad smell to it. My coworker described it as vomit scented. I think one of the servers was ill and as drinks were being brought coughed into them with an open mouth. My coworkers medium burger was burnt beyond enjoyment. Trying to get a bill took a long time and one of the other patrons remarked they felt held hostage. Other people at the bar waited forever without being able to put an order in. My coleslaw seemed unrefrigerated and bland. We were in town all week and would’ve loved to find a local spot to patronize. They need to improve their organization and check their food for freshness and quality.

This is a fantastic little establishment. The owners are great people who are very involved in the front-end processes and truly want you to have a great experience. They are there around the clock and work very hard to keep everyone happy and everything running smoothly. The wait staff/bartenders/cooks I have met have always been great as well. There are a lot of «regulars» at this place, so that is always a good sign! Both day and night it is a very welcoming place to come in for a drink or a meal. They also host live music and other various forms of entertainment as scheduled. There is an outdoor seating area in the back as well which is great for summer months. I love that they are unique in offering an ever-changing selection of meats you don’t usually see at other places. If you are adventurous in trying different kinds of meat, this is a great option for you! I haven’t had a single thing yet that wasn’t delicious! But I have to rave about the mac & cheese. Although it was only a side dish, the portion was plenty big and it was some of the best mac & cheese I’ve had. Looking forward to ordering it again the next time I come. Lots of fun, great«NH» atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Check it out!

Just had another amazing meal! Had the buffalo prime rib which was just incredible! Cooked perfectly(med) with an au jous to DIE for! Also had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Never had such good sticks. They’re homemade & this is the only restaurant where I will eat them. Can’t say enough about the great food, staff and menu choices at the Hungry Buffalo. It’s my favorite! Give it a try!

First time there I had the Healthy Bison Reuben, it was very good and the coleslaw was also very good. My husband had the Wild Boar Reuben and he said it was very good. He had onion rings with his meal which I thought were kind of greasy. We also had the Mild Buffalo chicken wings as an appetizer, they were delicious. Service was slow but our very pleasant waitress was also the bar tender, the wait was worth it. We will be back.

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. I get things happen but this was so awful no stars is too many. I think my waitress was the server, cook and bartender… it started out a little wait to get coffee which was not a big deal. Our order was taken, three of us got sauage gravy and biscuits. We waited about a half hour she brings two plates says she is going to get be other comes back sorry we are out! My plate was supposed to have home fries there was none and the dish was so disgusting looking i think they scraped the bottom of the barrel to make the two pates we did get. So we talked to waitress regarding food and service she said she would get the manager so we waited as she had to apoligize to other customers who took one bite if their breakfast and walked out. I feel bad for waitress not really her fault but unfortunately her tips suffer for things that might be out of her control.

Went here looking for a good burger and to try something different, it was different alright. The waitress hung out in the bar almost the whole time we were there, not even coming back to see if the food was cooked how we wanted it or to offer another soda after ours were empty half way through the meal. I ordered the elk burger and my girlfriend ordered the regular beef burger. We both ordered ours medium with fries. The burgers were overcooked, no pink at all and mine was dry. The fries were covered in pepper and almost uneatable. I don’t think i’ll be back to this one.

I originally heard of this restaurant when visiting their store location«Healthy Buffalo» about a year ago. I had the alligator bites, buffalo meatloaf, and wild boar Reuben. The meat was good, very much the ‘home cooking’ style, with a local pub atmosphere. Prices were reasonable; each meal cost ~$ 9.

I guess I expected something different… I really really wanted to give this place a better rating too. 2.5 stars would be closer to accurate. This really is a bar with a different selection meats available. We ordered the alligator bites, steak and cheese, and the chicken nachos. The alligator was under seasoned but not bad overall. The steak and cheese was typical bar food and my husband thought the nachos were bland. Prices were good and the staff was very friendly.

After a few recommendations by coworkers, I finally had dinner at the Hungry Buffalo Restaurant in Loudon, which is located in the Fox Pond Plaza at the NH106/NH 129 intersection. Formerly a biker bar, the Hungry Buffalo Restaurant is owned and operated by the Healthy Buffalo in Chichester. The place is very casual and has a country roadhouse atmosphere divided with the sizable lounge area on one side and the dining room on the other side. The lounge area has a fully stocked bar, TVs, 2 pool tables, Batman pinball machine, bar counter video game machine, and TouchTunes digital jukebox. The full service dining room has several tables and booths. The menu offerings include pub appetizers, soups, salads, buffalo chili, burgers & sandwiches(buffalo(bison), elk, ground turkey, emu, Angus beef, chicken), buffalo hot dogs, roast wild boar, buffalo strip steak, pasta, and fish & chips, plus a kids menu too! The prices here are pretty reasonable, sandwiches(with hand cut fries & pickle) $ 6.99-$ 9.99 and most entrees $ 9.99-$ 16.99. I started out with a cup of Buffalo Chili($ 3.75), which had kidney and black beans, chunky tomatoes, peppers, & ground buffalo, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and onions. The chili had very good spicy flavors. Next, I had the Healthy Buffalo Reuben($ 8.99) with hand cut fries and dill pickle spear. The Reuben was a good sized sandwich loaded with slices very tender and lean slow roasted buffalo brisket with no sugar BBQ sauce, sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, & Russian dressing between two big toasted slices of marble rye bread. I would definitely order this reuben again! The hand cut fries were light and crispy and seasoned with salt and black pepper, not greasy. The food I had on this visit was absolutely excellent and very tasty. The service was very prompt from the bartender on duty(early weekday evening), who was serving both the lounge area and dining room(not so busy yet). The food was served in timely order, which was a great thing since I was very hungry after working all day with no time for lunch. I will surely return to the Hungry Buffalo very soon!
