I visited the Z Fish House today after reading a review from Local 8 News in Knoxville. An Executive Chef in my hometown, Loudon? I had to investigate and was pleasantly surprised. I also overheard during my lunchtime visit that many others were also coming in for the first time — and no one was leaving hungry! I had to start with the New England Clam chowder, which is definitely on my repeat list. A nice cup size portion was quickly whisked out to me from the kitchen and it quickly disappeared. Rich flavor, semi-thick/creamy with plenty of clams. For my lunch, I ordered the crab cake sandwich. I wasn’t expecting a crab portion that one would expect in downtown Baltimore, but for the price, size, and flavor I was very happy with my selection. The French fries are seasoned«Cajun style», which I opted for after being given the option for«regular fries». After 25 years in the Navy and being stationed around the world, I’ve grown to love the close, home town atmosphere that a personable family restaurant has to offer(and I always steer clear of the major food chains like Ruby Tuesday, Applebee’s, etc). Don’t expect a lavish 5-star hotel restaurant environment, but enjoy the hometown feel that Z Fish House has to offer our local community. I’ll review the fresh grouper sandwich during my next visit and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Get out and support Downtown Loudon and our local community. It’s growing and has much to offer. Since I use Unilocal and TripAdvisor when I’m traveling to «get off the beaten path» for good food, if you’re reading this on I-75, Z Fish is a short drive into town. You won’t be disappointed and happy you skipped McD. Thanks Chef Ed for taking a chance in our Loudon, TN community.

We were not impressed. For the prices they charge. OK we ordered some menu items. But they did not have what we ordered off the menu The portions were small we only got Two small peaces of fish with our dinner for 12.95 We thought the fish was a little oily We will be surprised if this place makes a go of it.
