I did the Vietnamese grocer crawl down third street(there’s three within two blocks) today and I went looking for this one based on the high reviews from Unilocalers. I was definitely disappointed. This was definitely the smallest of the three grocers that I visited today and had a very limited stock. When I say limited what I really mean is bare shelves. So… there was nothing particularly special going on here and you have two much better options literally within a 1 minute walk. Skip this one.

A nice, family-owned store. This is my favorite Vietnamese grocery store in town, among the ones I’ve visited(which I believe is alll. Even though the store is not the biggest Asian store in the area, it has expanded recently, doubling in size. The store is neat and organized. My favorite part is that the owner/cashier is always polite and helpful. He is also fair at keeping track of who’s first in line so that other customers can’t cut in front of you.

Honest and hardworking owners who will help you in anyway they can. If you’re looking for the freshest produce/food stop by on Thursday after they get a fresh batch of delivery on Wednesday. If you’re looking for some decent banh mi(Vietnamese sandwich) or banh bao(pork bun) stop by on Wednesday night for fresh delivery from Texas. They taste good and are pretty cheap. They’re usually gone by Thursday.
