Best spicy fried chicken and comfort food around. Even KFC right across from the street couldn’t compare to the moist tender chicken that you would get there. Although I love their chicken, I feel like their potato wedges are a little saltier to my taste which is why I give it a 4 stars but thats not gonna stop me from still going there

There aren’t better fried wings in Louisville. Cheap, fresh, friendly service. I’ll fight you if you disagree.

A friend and I ate here today. Strictly a ‘no frills’ place. They skimp on things such as water cup and napkins. Fried chicken entrée and cod sandwich were tasty. Delicious potato wedges and vegetable rice side dish. Food served hot and fresh.

Despite what you think, this Indies is pretty clean inside. Service is entertaing as they scream at each other for spicy chicken and the food is all behind plexiglass glass… If you decide to eat here, make sure you get chicken(the keel is soooo good). It’s what they’re known for and what they’re good at. Spicy wedges and greens are also yummy.

My mother and I drove by Indies for a quick lunch. We ordered the rib dinners to go and were told it would be 10 minutes. We waited more like 20 minutes. I guess I have to wonder why that took so long. You hope they were cooked until they’re tender and just wait for you to order them. Im thinking they warm them in the microwave. Anyway, definitely not worth waiting for. The ribs were drowned in sauce and tough. I liked my baked beans side, but did not like the macaroni salad. My mother said her potato salad had too much mustard. We may try to cook the ribs some more in the oven to see if we can get them tender. But for a combined total of 17 dollars and change, I don’t think we should have to cook our lunch again. I had previously tried the restaurant and orderd catfish. One filet was good the other was strangely very thin and tough. I really don’t know why I came back to try it again, but I did. I regret it very much. I called to tell the manager how I felt about the ribs and that I would never go back. And all she said was, Thank you very much”. Which I guess was polite but the same time didn’t seem to address the problem. Save your money. Go elsewhere! You want better food than that. I wish I had. I hate that was such a waste of money. I felt bad I suggested it to my mom.

Fried chicken at its finest, spicy was great, standard was great too, juicy and perfectly fried. Not best part of town, but great prices, great green beans, spinach, corn on the cob. Hot sauce is 35 cents for small cup and well worth it. The two of us had 5 cups! Keels priced at premium are outstanding for white meat lovers… Give this place a try but be careful eating in, tonight 2-25-2015 was unbelievable with customers requiring police reports and potential arrest… Chicken outstanding and I will be back…

This is the real Kentucky fried chicken. When I want some fried chicken and don’t want to cook it myself, this is where I go. The potato wedges and mac and cheese are really good too.

To me, fried chicken is fried chicken; I’m not that enamored by it, but it is certainly better than KFC and the stuff they sell at the Wal-Mart deli. I always opt for the spicy version, is noticeably spicy but not painfully so. The hot sauce that you have to pay extra for is okay – I usually get it but it’s not my favorite hot sauce, it’s a little too vinegary for my taste. The true star of any meal at Indi’s is the sides. If you come here and leave without getting any mac & cheese or potato wedges, then you’re making a mistake. This particular store has tables, which is a plus over some of the other locations.

Some of the best chicken in town. Get the special hot sauce for .25 cents. I usually get the wings and potatoe wedges, which are huge. They also have a large selection of other food items including ribs, chicken, fish, barbecue, and a huge amount of sides such as mac-n-cheese and greens. Not only is it a local chain, but you can get some great food for a reasonable price. Whenever you are in the mood for something spicy, greasy, delicious and affordable, Indi’s is the place to go!

I would not normally review a fast food restaurant but since this place is a local chain, I’m making an exception. I love Indi’s. When I am craving some yummy, spicy, greasy food this is my go to place. The spicy chicken wings/legs are crispy and truly spicy — proceed with caution if you are sensitive to that! The homemade hot sauce is the perfect mix-in for the yummy mac and cheese and a great dipping sauce for the rolls! If you’re hungover, go to Indi’s and you’ll be cured!

I’d give anything for some indi’s wings and wedges right now, but I no longer live in the ghetto, so that is impossible.

The catfish sandwiches are huge and fried to order. The hot sauce is very hot, but you can’t resist putting it on the chicken or the catfish. I love the spicy chicken and the spicy wedges. I am a fan of fried apples, so this is the spot to get them on a regular basis. You can not leave Indi’s before getting a sweet tea and pink lemonade mix. This is definitely my go to for a late night snack. My only piece of advice is when using your credit card make sure to order over $ 5.00 worth of food. Love this place!

The catfish sandwich and wedges with hot sauce are my favorite. Best place to go late night that has fresh and tasty ghetto fast food.

THECUSTOMERS: Just myself for lunch on a weekday THELOCATION: The location is right on 3rd Street next to McDonalds and Thornberry’s. FIRSTIMPRESSION: Okay neighborhood with some fast food restaurants around it. The place is not much to look at from the outside but better looking than some of the fast food places around it. It’s very clean on the inside though and the service from the ladies behind the counter is great. THESELECTION: The chicken is extremely delicious. Fresh, juicy and lots of flavor. As I am reviewing this one though, I wanted something new so I tried their fried fish sandwich. As you can see from the picture, the sandwich is huge. They have a lot of items here though including chicken, ribs, wings and fish. I heard their cobbler is good too but have not had the chance to try it. THEPRICE: The price came out to be $ 6.50 for the sandwich, a side and a large drink. THEFOOD: The fish was very good! Very large portion and went well with Indi’s Hot sauce. OVERALL: I have been going back at least once every two weeks. I would recommend this place to my friends for lunch or dinner. If you are reading this, I think you should give it a shot. ______________ Reviewer-Type: This may help you on seeing whether or not my review will help you because if we have similar taste, then we may have similar opinions. I am not food yuppie by any means. I am regular guy loving regular food. Among my favorite places to eat are Jimmy Johns, Five Guys burger and fries & Moe’s Southwest Grill. My family consist of my wife and two children so I try to find places that aren’t too pricey but still offer good food. I don’t mind trying new food at new places but hate when I have to review a bad place to eat.
