Powerhouse Gym

Staff is unprofessional and rude. They tell you that you need to give 30 days notice to leave and charge you the next month which I knew. But they don’t tell you they charge you all kinds of fees on top of it for leaving.

Eh… maybe I’m a little cynical because I train at the Powerhouse Mecca in Tampa but it was a little pathetic.
Pros:
Clean, heavy Dbs, smoothie bar, massage and big tvs in front of the cardio area.
Cons:
Small overall space, not a lot of cardio equipment, needs to be hotter, a «cross training» area that you can only use with a trainer.
I’m not sure about overall cost since I just came for the day, which was 10 bucks.

This review is about my massage with Sarah, who operates out of this Powerhouse Gym location.
A few months ago, Groupon ran a massage special and — since I had some groupon bucks to spend — I went on ahead and got it, also knowing the end of my school year was coming up and I would likely be frazzled and needing something relaxing.
Sarah was very welcoming, and her studio is warm, welcoming, and a great retreat from the busy outside world I came from. After a brief introduction and some paperwork, she got down to business, turning all of my aches and pains and general «blahs» into «aaahhs». I let myself zone out for the full 60 minutes, and was fully relaxed but disappointed when time was up.
I already set up a second appointment, which she gave me a deal on, and am already looking forward to getting some of my school stress melted away again when I return.
