Spinelli’s Pizza

The pizza I ordered for delivery took almost two hours to be delivered. My pizza was ice cold by the time I received it and there was not even an apology. A total waste of money.

Affordable, enormous, and delicious pizza!!! Our server Yami was also the sweetest. Great food, prices, and service. Couldn’t ask for more!

They have very good portions and very tasty pizza. Good service and very cheap food. Very good environment. It has a great student discount. Many different kinds of pizza and they all taste good.

Perfect late night food. The pizza slices are HUGE!!! If you’re a student you also get a great discount, $ 12 for a large pizza. The cheese sticks are also massive. However, this is a just a late night spot. I don’t know how much I’d actually like the food for dinner or anything like that, but it’s great drunk food.

Spinellis is a great place to eat pizza with the crew with out spending too much money. The location is on point & the fried oreos are the shit.

Great pizza and cool atmosphere! I got the cheese pizza and the slice was huge. The place is open real late too so you can get pizza late.

Pizza slices the size of your head! We were seated immediately, they have $ 1 PBR and Rolling Rock and a free order of deep fried Oreos with a review. This is a good late night joint, I’d just advise you don’t come starving, the food doesn’t come out too quick.

We opted for this location tonight because it is quiet, comfortable and relaxing. Love the Baxter location, but it was just too crowded. The food is decent, and our server is great.
If you want a quiet, laid back place to eat late at night, we highly recommend this Spinelli’s location.

This location and staff is a cancer to the Spinellis brand. Clean house or lose good clients. It’s really that simple.

Absolute worst service in Louisville. Pizza is just as bad. Came in on Sunday around 6pm. Asked for 2 slices of pepperoni. Was told it would take a few minutes. Waited for 30 minutes. Another customer came in at that 30 minute mark and had the same order I did. She started to immediately give him my pizza. Had to step in and ask what was going on. I was the only person in the place and she had to ask what I ordered and wanted to see a receipt. (I had been standing in plain sight for half an hour) She finally gave me my pizza that I already ordered… Thanks.
While I waited for my pizza I had to listen to stoned kitchen staff and girl at the register make fun of call in customers as well as the delivery boy threatening to beat up people he was about to deliver to if tips weren’t enough.
Just an awful experience. Don’t eat here. DiOrios, Coals, and Saints are much better options for pizza within a quarter mile radius.
Go to DiOrio’s for late night.

Loved sitting there for an hour for a pizza I ordered to find out they didn’t even make the order. Was a hassle to get a refund for a pizza I never received and no remorse for the time wasted for their negligence.

If you order after reading all the bad reviews (especially this story), you will have no one to blame but yourself. I wish I had read the reviews below before taking the Hyatt Hotel’s front desk recommendation, and placing a large order for 30 Pizza’s with them on Saturday evening, September 27^th, 2014. They ripped me off! (primarily due to the incompetence of their delivery and order taking staff).
I called in an order for 10 cheese, 10, sausage, and 10 pepperoni pizzas in the late evening. I was told at the end of the call, after I paid in full with a credit card, they would be delivered in about an hour. I called 70 minutes later for a status update when they had not arrived yet; I understood this was a large order and simply wanted an ETA. The call ended with the promise that they would text my phone to notify me as the pizzas were leaving the shop, so that I could ensure that I was there to meet them in the hotel lobby and on the look-​out when they arrived.
35 minutes later (1:45 minutes after first placing the order), I call back after no receiving a text, for another status update and ETA.
They said the pizzas already went out and that «they are likely coming up the elevator right now». I responded that there would be no elevator involved, as delivery was expected in the lobby. As the person on the line was asking questions of the cook staff on my delivery, I saw a delivery person walk in the hotel lobby with a pile of about 10 pizzas in arm, promptly heading for the escalators going to the 2^nd floor hotel conference area; I mentioned thought the delivery was here, and hung up the phone to intercept the delivery before he made it to the escalator.
I stopped him, told them I was the purchaser of the 30 pizza order and confirmed the three different types/​quantities that I had specified. The delivery person responded with the question: «Do you want me to put these upstairs with all the others».
«Upstairs?!? All the others?!? My entire order is supposed to be delivered down here to me!!»
He must have thought I was crazy; as he just turned away from me when I said that and promptly delivered my pizzas to another group upstairs. The impression I had was that he was totally ignoring me, and did not believe that I had anything to do with the order he was delivering.
It was later figured out from talking with some other hotel guests, that another group ordered 10 pizzas for delivery to the 2^nd floor conference area around the same time I placed the 30 pizza order (not clear who ordered first, although I think I did), and for some reason they decided to deliver all 40 pies to that group, even though they had only paid for 10 in their order, and the credit card/​delivery names must have been different name. The group who ordered the 10 pizzas I guess were more than happy to accept (and sign for) my order. (Kind of a shady move on their part, really)
I called right back to speak with a manager, and explained what just happened, that the delivery man had just walked right past me and refused to release the pizzas from my order, and that I was watching my order go upstairs and get delivered to and consumed by another group.
Just as I finished explaining everything to the manager, two delivery people came down the escalators (both empty handed), including the first person who I saw take the pile of pizzas upstairs. I handed my cell phone, with the manager on the line, to the other 2^nd delivery person (The female of the pair, appeared to be the one «in charge»).
The manager and delivery person spoke for several minutes, after which point I was handed back the phone and they went back upstairs to receive my 30 pizza order. Unfortunately, the group upstairs had already started eating away at my order. In the end, I received about 20 of the 30 pizzas I ordered, and not all of what I was delivered was even from my order, as they were at least two that had topping combinations I had not ordered. (Since we were short pizza, everything got consumed, and nothing was left over; things were moving so fast it was impossible to tell what pizza was what. I could only count the empty boxes at the end to know I had only received 22 pizzas.).
Once the delivery people brought down a bunch of pizzas, they just booked it out of there as quickly as possible. Didn’t ask for a tip, didn’t ask me to sign anything.
I called back several times to speak with the on-​duty manager of the issue to try and work out a refund or other resolution to their mistake, only to be told that the «General Manager» would need to handle this, and that they would call me back.
Several days later, no call, no refund for the miss-​delivered pizzas. I sort of received an apology from one of the on-​duty managers, but it kind of lost all meaning since I never received the call back I was promised from the general manager.
Absolutely horrible. I was ripped off.

Terrible place to get a late night bite to eat. Please stay clear of this place. Even better stay clear of louisville. I wish I could rate ¼ of a star but that’s not an option on Unilocal

Hey hippy’s that work here try serving a hot slice Philly style is a joke if your dishing out cold limp slices. Never had such horrible service. Rather talk about their sex life behind the counter then server fresh hot slices.
Father and younger daughter in front of me in line. They hard to be horrified by what you were talking about. Clean it up.

OK… not the (Best For You) pizza, but if you want Brooklyn Style pizza… A.K.A. Big Ass Piece’s…This is the place in the ville to curb those needs!!! PBR’s for $ 1, who can go wrong!

Ok the other 2 reviews are both disturbing, especially James’s, and that makes me sad. Not ok with food taking forever or people not getting paid. At all.
That being sad-​went today for a quick lunch-​got 3 slices already made which were very good. Would have been better fresh but I understand you can’t get a fresh slice. Cheap and they have a text club for even cheaper pizzas. Late night delivery for $ 1.50 plus tip. So idk. Not busy at all, especially for lunch hour on a weekday. Maybe 10 people that I saw from 12:30 to 1ish.
