This place either needs to make the ice skating area bigger or allow less people on the ice. It is an absolute madhouse. I am a solid skater and had a few times where I either had to body check an annoying teenager or stop completely to avoid contact. I understand some kids can’t skate and are going slow, but the amount of people on the ice is just entirely too many.

How could you not love the Pavillion?! Street fairs and farmer’s markets in the summer & ice skating in the winter. Its what takes Louisville from being just another town and makes it a community!

Hadn’t been ice skating in I dont know how when I flew out to Colorado my friend and her husband brought me to this place. It was perfect. #1 It was decorated sooooo Christmassy and had free horse drawn carriage rides out front. #2 The skates were awesome. not the regular figure skates I grew up with that had no ankle support. They were like roller blades with ice blades. #3 It wasnt ridiculously packed or swarming with speed skaters. Of course you had your token pro skater and your teenage boys chasing each other trying to knock each other down but the rink was big enough so that if they fell you didn’t have to. Couldnt have been a better spot!
