Great place for the happy hour specials. All the items we ordered were delicious. Rest of our group enjoyed the beer variety.

The beer selection is awesome, but I desire my deer to be cold. The temperature of the beer was not to my liking. The location was clean and setup very well the crew was helpful and great. Tried the buffalo hot and the dry rub wings, my girlfriend loved them personally I was not impressed the wing was meaty and juicy. Chili cheese dog was very salty and average. The street tacos with shrimp was excellent. One tip pot roast goes fast so go early.

Ordered the Flat Iron Steak Salad, medium rare. It came out perfect and was absolutely delicious. Then ordered the Bell’s Amber Cask and I followed that up with the Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail. Whew on the Evil Twin, man that beer was amazing and I was really glad that my man was driving. This place is solid, excellent beer, great service, and good food. Note: The staff is trained for two weeks on craft beers which makes them incredibly helpful when it comes to recommendations. I’ve been a couple of times with people who mainly like domestic brews and they were recommended something light, like a Kolsch, by our server and they were happy with what they had. You can also have a small sample of any of the drafts before you commit to a full pour.

First time here and it was very good. Ordered the BBQ bacon burger with tots. Fresh burger, bacon and lettuce. It was a great burger and decently priced at $ 11. They could have added a few more tots to the plate though. A classic cheeseburger was only $ 9.50. Great beer selection and they will let you sample a couple before you buy it. I was disappointed in the pretzel though. It was hard and not very tasty. I ended up throwing it away. $ 8 for the pretzel and $ 2 for a small cup of beer cheese was outrageous imo.

On my second visit to WOB, I did enjoy my food and drink. Service was great too. The reason why I scored with one less star this time was because of how freaking loud the music was. I hate to do it really because the band(Soul River Brown) was AWESOME! I would totally go hear them again. The issue I had with the music was that the speaker system in the restaurant was broken so they could not adjust the volume. Plus the establishment itself isn’t that big and the walls are brick, the ceiling is open, and the floors are concrete. There is nowhere for some of the music to soak up into other than your ears. Lol! As a lover of loud music, even this was too loud for me. I couldn’t have a conversation with my dining partner, I couldn’t hear the waitress and vice versa, and my head started pounding with a horrible headache which carried on after I left. I felt like my brain was being tossed around in my skull. Hahaha! Several people came inside to find the music blasting and turned right back around to go somewhere else. We stuck it out so we could eat the food and drinks we ordered. Afterwards we actually hung out to hear the rest of the performance. For eats we had the appetizer meatballs and an order of the peel-and-eat shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious! The meatballs came with a type of side salad with a zesty vinaigrette and some slivers of what seemed to be a pickled cherry pepper. The shrimp were cooked in garlic butter and there were also three pieces of toasted bread soaking in the butter mix too. It had a great rich flavor. They ran a special where if you ordered the shrimp you got a FREE beer from Oskar Blues Brewery for the celebration. We had two beers a piece. My favorite was the 500th anniversary special brew from the oldest Brewery in the world… Weihenstephan!

Great service — Excellent service! It was packed pretty good on a Saturday and our server remained on top of everything. Plenty of drink choices, obviously… food was enjoyed by everyone and it all came in perfect time. I was envious of other’s food! No long waits for drinks, she had them coming out perfectly. I ate the ‘fish and tots’ — I was starving so I wolfed it down. It tasted great but was a bit greasy. Would try something else next time. It is LOUD. Our table of 8 was shouting for conversation. A guy started to play some music around 9:00? That was fine, but it only added to the noise level so the screaming at our table continued. Overall, I was happy we tried it out and we will return for sure!

My sister had told me about this place a while back which her and her husband enjoy. However, they have a small child so it isn’t a great place to visit unless they can get a baby sitter. Then one night… they did! We get there and it is free-for-all seating… which is kinda a pain. You could be looking one direction for a table when one opens up and someone else snags it before you, ugh! Some awkward standing around definitely happened. Thankfully, we eventually managed to get a table. We ordered their tavern taters, which hit the spot when you’re hungry, and our first round of drinks. I tried the fruit beer sampler because my sister had raved to me about the raspberry beer, which is amazing btw — it is like liquid raspberries, and the sampler all around was a really good mix at that visit. A delicious way to start the visit. I eventually switched to drink their Perfect Stormy [their version of a dark & stormy] because they are incredible! Highly recommend! I realize this is a beer place but I am not sure what exactly they put into it to make them so unique, but I could drink these endlessly and not get tired of them. We decided to try some of their wings, we got the Korean Spicy and their Garlic Parmesan, overall, their wings were very good but we all felt the Garlic Parm could be a bit more flavorful and were a bit bland. I would try some of their other flavors instead next time. I don’t know the smallest amount you can split sauces to, but we were able to split their 20 piece wings pricing into the two flavors. Our service was consistent and friendly, I would definitely come back — even if just for those Perfect Stormy’s, haha!

Dry rub wings are great. Definitely should download the App — can keep track of favorite beers. Only second time here and love this place. Much needed in Louisville area! Looking forward to some live music tonight.

We are rarely impressed by their food, but keep returning because their beer list is amazing! The staff had always been great. You can try any beer on tap for free! Plus there is always live music on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9. In their defense, our friends love their food, might just be a preference thing.

We have probably been here four or five times. Let me start by saying, this is obviously much needed in this part of town, because our last visit was the first one that we were able to get a seat/didn’t have to hawk people to get seats. So popular! The service has always been great, and this last time was certainly no exception… the bartender was friendly, but not clingy, and knowledgeable on top of it. Definitely a plus! The beer selection cannot be beat. Just cannot. Very few other places in Louisville have as many options, and they’re widespread options… there’s something for everyone. We didn’t eat this time but we have before… and never had anything disappointing. We’re not often out by WOB but when we are it’s always a pleasure.

World of Beers is one of our new favorites for Friday night happy hour! As long as we are able to arrive before 6 pm we have never had to wait for a table. The service has always been outstanding. We have only had to flag a server down once during«shift change» and that ended up to our advantage as we lucked out with a wonderful server. The servers have a great understanding of most all of their beer offerings especially the multitude of their beers on tap. The friends we go with have a wide range of beer likes and dislikes. From sour(me) to stout(my husband). There is always something for everyone on the happy hour beer menu. The bottle assortment is great as well! We appreciate that if we pick a bottle that is high in price they let us know. We have never been disappointed with the food we have ordered. Their Street Tacos are some of the best out on this side of the Gene Snyder. They come out fast, fresh, hot and delicious! The best is they actually fill the shells and are priced right even off happy hour!(Happy hour 2 for 5 bucks)! The margarita flat bread pizza is also one of our favorites the balsamic drizzle makes it! The meatballs are one thing my husband loves to eat also! We can not wait for warmer weather and the opening of the outside patio!

The beer selection was phenomenal the hostesses wear really nice polite and helpful with beers as well as recommendations. The pretzel we had was pretty gross. Altogether a decent place to go get a beer after work. bonus they serve your beer in the glassware that it made for that brand if they have it, pretty cool.

They need to change their seating method!!! For a waitress To tell me to go to a table where I think someone is leaving soon and stand til they get up is so dang rude.

Despite the restaurant’s name, my review is more about the food. While I was definitely impressed with the wonderful selection of great beers, I wasn’t able to order one on my first visit to World of Beer. Due to my past experience with other World of Beers, I didn’t expect much regarding the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the food at this World of Beer. We ordered three«shareables» to split: fish and tots, dry rub wings, and mac and cheese. The fish and tots were excellent. The beer battered fish was fresh and served with a homemade tartar sauce. The tots were crisp and salty. The dry rub wings were huge and juicy. The mac and cheese was pretty good, though I’m not a fan of breadcrumbs. All in all, everything was delicious. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very cool. It’s the kind of place you want to go to hang out. However, seating is first come first serve, so I could see how this could be annoying when it gets busy.(You may be waiting for a table longer than someone who finds one before you. Then while you’re eating, you have people hovering to claim your table). Overall, I enjoyed World of Beer. I’m looking forward to coming back, hanging out, and trying some different beer.

This place is awesome! I should start by stating that I don’t like beer, so its quite ironic I decided to go to a place called ‘World of Beer’. We got there and it was packed! The servers told us it was open seating and to grab any available table. Thankfully, it took us less than 10 minutes to do so. We got the menu and thought there were only about 50 beers, but those were actually the onea on tap! We were then given an ipad with over 150 different beers! It was impressive! Our server was very knowledgeable and ended up recommending a beer that I actually liked! Aside from beers we had the giant pretzel with beer cheese, which was delicious, and a charcuterie board with 3 different kinds of sausage and pickled peppers. It was definitely worth it and I am sure I will be coming back!

It has been my experience in the past that generally any place that has an exorbitant amount of beers, doesn’t do food well. Well WoB is an exception to that. But first, let me briefly touch on the beers. They have about 9 million beers. Okay not really. They have 50+ beers on tap and I think 200 ish bottles. The neat part about their beer list is that if you download the smartphone app you can see the most current selection of beers. You can even see when they tap something. Another cool thing about the app is that you can apply all kinds of filters to narrow down the selection to what you are in the mood for. Okay now to the food. Like I said in the opening, I generally haven’t had much luck with food at places with a ton of beer. Either they don’t have food or the food is an afterthought. The group i was with decided to try a handful of things. The star of the show was the tavern taters. Its tater tots covered bacon, beer cheese, and other deliciousness. I’m salivating thing about them. If you pass on them you’re stupid. Other items that we had and were equally good was the German pretzel, fried pickles, Guinness Brat Sliders, and french onion soup. This place is any beer lovers dream. It’s a great addition to the Louisville beer scene.

This place is an awesome addition to Louisville. I went with my husband(a homebrewer) and he was very impressed. My husband recommends the Omenegang Dubbel but there are well over 200 beers to choose from so you are bound to find something you like! The waiters are also super helpful in that area. They also offer a app that helps you narrow down your search for beer which is great. To eat, we split to meatball appetizer($ 5 during happy hour) and they were incredible! We also had the Chimay Burger and OHMYGOSH… So far, its the best burger we’ve had in Louisville.

As an avid lover of Sergio’s, but not always wanting to make the drive or fight the small space, it’s been wonderful to see this place come to life! They have something for the beer lover in all of us and the food is top notch. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday so we could give this place a shot, and we were most impressed. The place was packed as it was just a few days after grand opening, and they had live music(which was pretty good too, btw). We signed up for the beer tour(which I did think was a little high at $ 15 but whatever) and I stuck to mostly pilsners while he had assorted Hefeweizens. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all beer choices which was cool. We started off with the tavern tots for an appetizer, which was probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten — I failed to get a picture because we inhaled those things. For dinner, I had the chicken street tacos and he the bacon burger. Pretty good bar food options. I know this is a corporate chain, but it really has a local feel. So excited this is so close to my house… we will definitely be visiting again.

Attended the opening. They have a hand pulled cask aged brew and live music starting the night I was there There are so many beers available, especially on tap it was a thrill. They have portable computers floating around to search out your favorite beer or get descriptions and it’s easy to use. The food menu was full of choices but I opted for a giant soft pretzel dangling on a meat hook to go along with my flight of brews. There were literally hundreds of beers that were on tap and in bottles… they have a loyalty club and it costs 15 dollars The staff went out of their way to talk about the beers and to be helpful. The room is essentially one large area and gets very noisy when full. Nice addition to the north east side so we don’t need to drive so far. Enjoyed the visit
