Good place to go after a long ride or run on the bike trail. Lots of different flavors but my favorite is the red raspberry. Picnic tables are nearby but it’s better to rest your weary bones on the Adirondack chairs out front.

We love to go to the Loveland Bike Trail, but no ride would ever be complete without stopping by the Trailside Ice Shack. It’s a sweet-looking little shack right off the trail which offers a cool, refreshing treat as a reward for getting some exercise. You will be amazed at how many flavors they have to choose from! Not only are there a few natural flavors and a couple of sugar-free flavors, but they also have about 50 regular flavors. My favorite is usually the grape! If you like smoothies, they offer them, too. They are friendly while they quickly prepare your perfect cold serving of yumminess. Because their sizes are so generous, I have finally decided I need to only get a small icee in order to finish it! Normally we take ours across the parking lot to eat them while sitting on one of the benches in front of NesBit Park to watch people walk, bike, skate, dog-walk, etc. However, they do have a side patio with picnic tables which is somewhat covered for shade that looks welcoming, too.

Don’t let the prices scare you away — the food is fresh, delicious, and it’s an entire meal! They are dog friendly, the food comes quickly, the staff is so kind, and you’ve got to try their margarita — we stopped by and ended up spending the entire afternoon. It’s definitely our new favorite place on the Loveland Trail and if you see the smoker out front — it’s the best time to get some delicious BBQ pork or chicken!

I drive to downtown Loveland just to get snocones here. I’m addicted to the Cactus Cooler flavor. Great deal for the money, generous portions and perfect syrup-to-ice ratio(everything is flavored but not melted or sickeningly sweet)

Perfect for hanging out and esp. good after hiking/biking/running/walking the Loveland Bike Trail. I would reccommend the Tiger’s Blood(strawberry and cherry)…the closest that some peole might get to being Charlie Sheen! LOL!

Quaint little ice shack right off the Loveland walking trail! I visit this place daily and they have such a wide variety of flavors to chose from as well as ice cream, drinks and smoothies!

This is a cute little stand on the side of the Loveland bike trail in historic Loveland by the park. They have a selection of ice cream as well as shaved ice and I think you can even get one of those soft serve mixed with slushie drinks. The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
