I come here about four times a week. The service is so much better than the DD on the same street! The staff is always so warm and friendly and they make one heck of a coffee. I usually do the hot mocha with skim and one Splenda. As soon as they see me walk in, they already have my coffee waiting! How could you ask for more than that? The donuts are always fresh and the sandwiches are great. I don’t have one complaint except for I wish they had more locations!

I never tried Honey Dew Donuts before when I lived in Revere. There was this one that’s located in front of the Northgate Plaza in Revere that I always pass and wanted to try. Well, I decided it’s time to try it(I’m a huge Dunkin Donuts fan). I like it! There coffee is superior to Dunkin Donuts and so is their Pastries. I’ve been coming here regularly but still feel the need to go to Dunkin Donuts because I’ve just grown accustomed to their taste. But I am very impressed with HDD, the location is great too.

Honey Dew has products that are of equal-if-not-better quality than it’s main competitor, Dunkin Donuts. This locations has a great crew — very friendly, good communication, and I can’t think of a time they really messed an order up. Since the closest Dunks(which is pretty close) has the WORST service I’ve ever experienced, I’ll always hit up Honey Dew when I’m in this area now. The coffee is what you’d expect from a chain donut joint, not spectacular and not bad. Definitely as good or better than Dunks coffee. And if you’re there in the warmer months, you may notice they actually MELTTHESUGARINTHEICEDCOFFEE!!! Which is what you’re supposed to do with iced coffee, but so many places don’t. I mean all it really takes is pouring a little hot coffee on the sugar in the cup to melt it, then topping with ice and iced coffee. So they do that well anyway. The food is good, but same sentiments as the coffee. Except the egg/cheese sandwiches on english muffin. That is noticeably better than Dunks… the english muffin tastes like they just baked it, every time. I don’t even know if they make their own english muffins, but they taste great and fresh so I’ll leave it at that. I gave this place 3 stars, but take into account that I wouldn’t give any coffee/donut chain more than 3 stars really ever… just because I’ve been to so many better small local coffee places all over the country, so that’s what they’re getting compared to in my book. But this is as good as it gets in this part of Lowell for sure.

Good place for coffee, but Dunkin Donuts is so much better(and unfortunately for the people that planned the site of this HDD, they built it entirely too close to enemy territory). I actually like the fact that it’s not busy at all, making it a quick process to just grab a cup of coffee. It’s cheaper, but not enough to celebrate over. Also, the intercom is crystal clear! If only all the other fast food/coffee joints had this system installed… Honey Dew is definitely worth trying if you’re fed up with DD’s inconsistency to make a good(and correct) cup of coffee every time.
