I love this place. I always leave satisfied with the«price to food» ratio. Probably my favorite place to order chinese in lowell. They also really stepped their game up with the tv’s displaying their menu as well.

We used to order from this place all the time but one night their beef broccoli smelled and taste spoiled. We called to make a complaint but they weren’t able to do anything about it because we «paid for it already». Customer service sucks! We will never order from them again since we can’t taste the food first. I refuse to throw away money. That’s just what I did by ordering from them!

More of like a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s phenomenal, sometimes it’s average. All in all just typical Chinese food.

If you want fresh and tasty Chinese food wah sang is decent. I would recommend the egg foo young and the boneless spare ribs! The prices here are just right!

Ordered take out just last night. I was impressed by how clean and«modern» the place looked. The chandeliers in the ceiling were really nice. They also have TV’s and they serve beer! Compare to other Chinese restaurants I have been, this by far is a pretty«nice» one. We ordered our food and within 5 minutes it was ready to go. I ordered a small portion of fried rice, orange chicken and crab ragoons and it was so much food that I ate, my stepson ate and there’s still food left. Most importantly I don’t have a stomach ache which is always a ++. This could easily be my go to place when in Lowell for Chinese.

Delirvers what you expect from a Chinese restaurant, some plates like beef chow fun is pretty good. Also they have low prices so a five star is given for anyone looking for a better full meal under 8 dollars.

We ate here a couple of years ago and were not impressed then, but decided to give this place another try. Ordered General Gau’s(a standard comparison dish available in most Chinese Rest.) and family-style tofu. This place is still«meh», barely edible. General Gau’s was overdone, with too much garlic. Family tofu was totaly bland and under-done. We tossed the leftovers.

Nothing beats late night munchies than good old Chinese comfort food. My boyfriend and I usually order the combo plate that has pork fried rice, chicken wings and pork spare ribs. The wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Pork fried rice is usually a bit dry and broken for me. They usally have the typical Chinese takeout and more. Drinks– I like how they have homemade soybean drink. My favorite drink of all time.

Regarding the food: It’s your average chinese take out place. You obviously shouldn’t expect 4-star quality from place that operates nearly 24 hours a day and charges near dirt cheap prices. The food is better than what it’s priced although it is oily, and almost tasteless. You just have to experiment with what is good on the menu. I like their lobster sauce, crab rangoon, and Peking ravioli. Regarding the business: They’ve been in business for as long as I can remember and the employees are still functioning like a(not to be ironic) well-oiled machine. They can be a little rude but I don’t blame them because they’ve been there since the beginning of time doing the same monotonous job, but I really like this place because it has been an easy choice for chinese. Sidenote*: They should consider changing the store signs. Especially since they don’t serve milk tea and most of the images are damaged from time.

Wah Sang is located in the Highlands area of Lowell by Plain St/Chelmsford St. It’s convenient to the Plain St exit off the Lowell Connector. It also has a decent sized lot with a few parking spots for patrons eating-in or taking out. Over the years, family, friends and(reluctantly) I have come to Wah Sang more times than I care to admit. I’ve tried nearly everything off their menu(I’m a recent undergrad/grad student out of UConn and visited my family often.) and can’t say I’ve had anything that I HAD to have again. The food is good enough for intoxicated/inebriated patrons… or for food needed last minute. I’ve also eaten in a number of times. It’s ALWAYS too cold or too hot in the dining area. Most recently, my H and brother ordered from Wah Sang at 1am… just because they wanted Chinese food! My H ordered spare ribs with lobster sauce(apparently, a coveted, must-have item for a Bostonian from Dorchester…) and my brother ordered the egg foo young combo. One plus is that the entire menu is available for the entirety of the business’ hours. So really, you can get anything you want… so long as they’re open. There’s only one other Chinese place in town that is open just as late… Food at each restaurant is equally greasy, cheap, quick and opened late.(Coming from the Greater Hartford area, this is surprising! I’d’ve imagined a larger city would boast later hours to serve a thriving young population.) Note: Wah Sang doesn’t deliver«across the river.» This isn’t a problem for most folks in town, but Lowellians on the Centralville/Belvidere side, take caution.

I ordered delivery to my hotel room late one night this week. It was delivered fast but the food was just so so. The fired rice lacked flavor and they had way too much breading on the sweet & sour chicken. They put the sauce for your dish in a separate container so your food is not soggy when it arrives. I have had better but having delivery at midnight on a weekday was a big plus.

I really enjoy this place. I have had numerous meals here. Numerous over the past say 4 years. It’s consistent, reasonably priced Chinese food. It’s a little greasy but for the price that’s okay. For what they do… it’s done very well. Convenient location, fast food, decent tasting… I have no qualms about eating here.

Meh… not bad. If you’re really hungry for some Chinese at 1am then this is the place for you. If you have other options… use them.

This place wasn’t good at all. I hate trying new Chinese restaurants and this is why, everything I ordered was tasteless I got the chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, crab Rangoon, and fried rice the only ones that were half decent were the crab Rangoon and the chicken fingers. Everything else was very plain tasting. Overall I won’t go back here, wasted money.

Typical chinese food, doesn’t taste like anything special, but if you’re in a hurry and looking for something cheap this is definitely the place to go.(Especially during the week lunch hour!) $ 5 bucks for a lunch special. I’ve always gotten food to go but the actual sit down area looks nice. Staff is alright, not the friendliest.

The establishment’s probably as old as the employees. Which is pretty old. Classic’s a good thing though, right? Food As far as the fast food portion goes, it’s pretty good. They’re known for their cheap combos, and speedy service. That’s just it though, try not to order anything outside of the combo menu. I made this mistake with the«Curry Beef and White Rice». It had a slight curry taste to it, but otherwise it was pretty runny and overloaded with veggies. Stick to the chicken wings, beef teriyaki, chicken fingers, bbq ribs, and fried rice. It’ll taste exactly how you expect them to every single time — and won’t randomly disappoint you. Atmosphere It used to look pretty ugly on the inside, but now they’ve got a nice looking dining room and it’s reasonably well kept. Plenty of parking, and in an easy to access location. Staff These old guys are pretty lively and make small talk with regulars(or do regulars make small talk with them? I can’t tell.) Final Thoughts This place has been around for as long as I could remember. It has seen surrounding businesses change hands and survived the worst of what the economy has to offer. Regardless, it is still standing strong because of what it was built on: location, and price. Can’t be beat.

Wah Sang is a typical fast service Chinese restaurant which is open late until 2AM and 3AM(Fri & Sat), dine-in, takeout and delivery. The place is an order at the counter place with open kitchen and self serve seating. They serve up the standard Chinese dishes including Cantonese and Szechuan dishes & chef’s specialties including Chow Foon Noodles, Moo Shu, Curry Beef Puffs, Hawaiian Beef, just to name a few. They also offer a good variety of Combination Plates($ 3.95-$ 9.25) and White Rice Specials($ 5.50-$ 6.95). However, they charge 80 cents more for the mini appetizer combinations #502-#507 after 3PM& all day Saturday and Sunday. There’s also a dedicated counter offering bubble tea and smoothie drinks made to order, with several flavors to choose from. Whenever I’ve stopped in at Wah Sang for Chinese takeout, I usually order the Combination #502 Egg Roll, 3 Crab Rangoons, & Pork Fried Rice, which is just the right amount of food to enjoy in one sitting. The egg roll is pretty good, which is filled with a good mix of minced cabbage, ground pork, & spices. The crab rangoons are crispy outside, but the filling is mostly cream cheese. The pork fried rice is okay and very basic, which has tender roast pork pieces(some fatty) and the rice is cooked soft. The service is pretty quick and friendly. Overall, 3.5÷5.0 stars.

Babe’s favorite Chinese Restaurant when he’s back home in Lowell. He brags about this place all the time. Finally, I’m in town to actually try Wah Sang. Babes always order his chicken finger with number #13. It has fried rice, BBQ pork, fried shrimp wonton, and fried chicken wings. Chicken finger and fried chicken wing is okaaaay, not a fan. Fried wonton shrimp is super plain. It’s just the shrimp wrapped in wonton. I can make better fried wontons. The only thing I like from Wah Sang is the fried dumplings and chow mien. Other than that, it’s okaaay. It’s just I had much better authentic Chinese food. Come to San Gabriel Valley in California! A lotttttt to choose from!*(: I give it 4 Stars only because babe’s loves it. Otherwise, I’ll give it 3 stars. San Gabriel Valley, CA.
