The country store is nice and charming, and has many interesting items. The restaurant was very crowded, and there was a long wait. Once seated, service was good, but the food portions were small. The eggs looked like they were miniaturized. Food was OK, nothing special. I saw someone else get pancakes, and that looked like a decent meal.

Never any parking. Be prepared to wait an hour or more just to be seated(even when they say approximately 30 minutes). Service is poor to terrible. Food is good but not worth the hassle or the wait. It’s consistently packed and uncomfortable

This is the second time we have eaten here. The first time we were in a group. And although service wasn’t outstanding it was better than our most recent visit. Today our waiter blamed everything on the kitchen, he rarely came to our table. The GM I have to say was very apologetic and even refunded our meal. Although that itself was great I’m certain that our dining days there are now over.

We love this place! My handsome insists on buying something out of the country store before we leave from having a wonderful dinner or breakfast! Their pancakes are to die for!

I was sick so I called in a to go order for chicken n dumplings with green beans, fries and a biscuit. I was told that the order would be ready in 5 so I left at the time to go pick it up. Upon arrival I asked a hostess where I was to go to pick up my food, she pointed me in the direction of a cashier. The cashier was the most pleasant out of the bunch and does a good job. She told me that someone would come and bring my food. After waiting more than 15 minutes I asked the hostess if she could check on it; she rudely responded that they«cook it upon order and they will bring it up when it’s ready» she was too busy to bother checking on my food I already paid for. The cashier noticed that I was still standing around waiting on my food and went to check and came right back with it. It had obviously been sitting there for a while as the entire meal was cold. The food was bland and subpar, the only great thing about it was the chicken and dumplings(I wish there was more broth). These teenagers need a refresher on customer service. I was very dissatisfied and I am unsure that I will ever return to this location.

I have always enjoyed cracker barrel until our last visit! My food was warm fresh and yummy. The other member of my breakfast party wasn’t so lucky. They had hair in their gravy so they asked for another bowl of gravy. The waiter was great and took care of the problem so we thought… the second bowl of gravy also had hair in it. When the manager came out he acted as if we had intentionally put hair in both items. He stated this had never happened before… we paid for the entire ticket never asking for a discount or a price break and yet the manager was extremely rude!

Received cold food the past 3 times I’ve been here. Tasted microwaved and cheap. Never eating here again.

Cracker Barrel is standard road trip fare, and I have met a few people here when they are driving through West Texas and don’t want to stop for very long near Lubbock. The food is standard, of course, for the chain, but the service at this branch is atrocious. I can’t even eat here anymore because the waiters always screw up my order in some dumb way. simple orders, too: ordering blueberry pancakes and receiving plain ones. Never refilling coffee. I mean, this is not rocket science. And then the manager comes over to ask if all is OK a thousand times over. Jeez, I finally got the right food, now let me eat and stop annoying me! Anyway there are a thousand other breakfast places to eat at in Lubbock, but this one seriously needs to up its hiring standards.

Big country breakfast served all day. Homemade biscuits and the best pancakes this side of the Mississippi! All around good homemade southern style cooking. Service wasnt bad, but not the best.

A favorite for breakfast. Unbeatable pancakes, soft and fluffy, yet just a little toasted from the cast iron skillet. Beware of that shop up front though. It is filled with dozens of nostalgic items that are impossible to pass up. It took my breakfast bill from $ 22 to $ 47! Can’t stay mad for too long though… Everything is just so good!

I am an admitted old country style breakfast slut, so I am not the most discriminating critic when it comes to hot breakfast. They have good bacon and have cooked my eggs right every time I’ve been there. The apple french toast special I’ve tried was very good. Prices are reasonable.

Gotta get that Southern cooking fix! I love getting the Sampler plate with chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, and country ham. Tack on their turnip greens, fried okra, and hashbrown casserole and you can’t get any better than that for comfort food. The way they cook their turnip greens with ham in it makes my kids like it also, which amazes me. Of course my wife loves the grits since she was born in Georgia.
