The only thing good was the customer service. We ordered the Carnivore. The hamburger was obviously left over as it had a bitter taste. The sausage wasn’t good either. Our family is spoiled to 575 Pizza in Amarillo so maybe this isn’t a fair review. Wouldn’t come back though.

Dion’s is a great across-from-campus lunch option for when you’re in a rush and on a budget. Their 2-slice special(two slices of pizza with two toppings each) is a good, quick deal. It’s often pretty crowded(as most across from campus places are) around lunch, so plan accordingly. I really like getting green chile + pepperoni or getting the Canadian bacon + pineapple and loading it up with crushed red pepper. Overall, it’s not a «wow your socks off» type of place, but it’s dependable, affordable option for a delicious lunch close to Tech.

Super yummy sandwiches! Love the Greek dressing. I could probably drink it, it’s so good. Lol. Haven’t had the pizza yet but will very soon.

Love! Wonderful pizza, we had the Dion Special and the green chilies was the perfect heat for the pizza. The kids loved that they had an area they could watch them make the pizza. Will be going back.

I grew up eating Dion’s back in Albuquerque. Now that I live in Amarillo I have to get my fix whenever I travel. Its nice to know that even though they have locations in Lubbock that the quality of food and service are still the same as they were growing up. The food is always delicious. I get the green chile and Pepporoni, always a good stand by. My son has a dairy allergy so we don’t really try to get him pizza or anything with cheese but we had heard that Dion’s can make a cheese free pizza. He was so excited to get his very own pizza. The manager was very considerate aware of allergies and cross contamination. He didn’t make the pizza himself but he watched his staff make it and made sure that it was cheese free. I know that a cheese free pizza sounds weird but my son loved to watch them make his special pizza and he loved eating his pizza. He is going to be a second generation Dion’s eater and its good to pass that on. Glad to see that Dion’s no matter where you go keep with the quality of food and service that I grew up on. Only thing that would be better is if Dion’s would come to Amarillo.

DH and I are pretty dedicated One Guy’s fans but for his birthday, he decided he wanted to check out Dion’s. Here you order at the front and then they will call your name for you to pick up your pizza. Our wait was about 20 min which I thought was very reasonable. The girl working the register was very friendly and helpful as well — great customer service! The pizza itself was really bland in our opinion. It lacked a flavorful crust, but we appreciated a crust with a little more substance. There wasn’t much sauce on our pepperoni pizza either, and that may have contributed to the lack of flavor. The cheese was good but not great. Again, it lacked the flavor of a good quality cheese. One Guy’s just has a much more flavorful and quality product IMO. Everything else about our experience at Dion’s was great(easy parking, price was right, customer service was good). The dining area is very large so this would be a great place to take a sports team after a game or even have a family get-together.

We came here based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. We got the Dion’s special. Mushrooms, green chile, sliced red onions, black olives, Italian sausage, ground beef, smoked ham & pepperoni. We deleted the ground beef and ham & had extra sausage & cheese. It was really great. I have had better, but this was still really good. Sauce was good, lots of ingredients & the New Mexico chili was super. As we travel full time in our RV this will be our place for pizza in Lubbock when we come through here.

Dion’s has gained 2 new customers and pizza hut, dominos, and little caesars has lost 2 forever. The pizzas are like they should be! Cheese is stringy AND has flavor, the pepperoni & ground beef rock! The crust is out of this world. Seriously you guys, start making bread sticks out of your pizza crusts! Their ranch dressing is… omg…no words can explain it imho. Can’t wait to go back!

Nice clean family pizza place. Ok. So I stood in line with no one in front of me for about 5 mins as at least 4 – 5 staff walked in the back. Hello?! Finally someone came back. I’m eating the pizza as I write this. Crust is ok. I’m not sure there is any pizza sauce on here. Not being sarcastic. In fact as I was waiting I heard someone order extra sauce on their pizza and I thought that was odd. Now I know why. This place can be better. Work on the front counter. And work on the sauce.

Best pizza for take home or delivery in Lubbock. Reasonably priced and there’s a drive thru. If you’re buying those $ 5 hot and ready pizzas at little caesars, you’re doing it wrong! You can’t go wrong with Dions! They also have great salads.

Only one guarantee with this place… it will never disappoint you! This is my favorite pizza place. Even the salads are great. The price is super cheap I can feed a family of three for sixteen bucks. Try the duke and the kansas city! The cheese toast is also amazing. Dont forget the ranch dressing none will ever compare buy a bottle to take home!

I am very familiar with Dion’s in their Albuquerque roots. What makes Dion’s so exceptional is the New Mexican green chili. If you are not familiar with New Mexican green chili, it is like no other pepper. They come in mild, medium and hot. Generally, Dion’s uses medium. They are diced and have a similar heat to a medium hot jalapeño but much tastier and no after burn or residual taste. These peppers are the Swiss Hunting Knife to culinary favor! At Dion’s you can order a pizza or just a slice. The slice is made to order. You don’t have limited choices. The pizza crust is exceptional. When I am passing through, I also take two of their pizza crusts to go. They are frozen and cost just $ 4. Take them home and put them in your freezer. They are wonderful! Unlike the Albuquerque Dion’s, Lubbock’s has a lunch special of two slices with two toppings and a drink for $ 4.95. We took a trip from Fort Worth to Lubbock last month. In the four days there, we ate at Dion’s three times. That’s a restaurant that gets five stars! By the way, they have their own line of dressings you can buy too. The turkey subs with Greek Dressing; their chicken Caesar salad with Dion’s Caesar dressing or their various other products live up to their name and are exceptional.

This is my favorite pizza in Lubbock! I recommend the Napoli or the Santorini. The salad and house dressing are also excellent. They also have lunch specials, either 2 slices and a drink or 1 slice, salad, and a drink. It’s made pretty quickly making it perfect for a workday lunch break.
