Really good pizza. Sad there’s no goat cheese options, yet. The One pizza is just flat fantastic. Go check it out, solid local pizza joint with some Texas flare.

They have great pizza here! This is like a hidden jewel made of pizza. This place is a little expensive but it is awesome! You got to try their buffalo pizza it is very unique and tasty. A must try in Lubbock

Awesome toppings choices! It’s my FAVORITE pizza in Lubbock. The servers are always very attentive. Service is great. There are certain drink specials on certain days. I often visit for just the cheese bread. Yes, it’s that good!

The service has been a bit inexperienced but friendly. The place is kind of cool but a bit cramped and small, which is to be expected based on the location. The pizza is the main thing here, though, and it’s the best in Lubbock! So good!!! Also, there are a few decent craft beer selections.

Service was slow, but friendly enough once we were acknowledged. The pizza was quite large, but the crust is overwhelming and I left most of it on my plate. Generous with toppings, but the mozzarella is tasteless and the pizza was soggy/undercooked in the center. Side salad and other ingredients were very fresh. Not bad, but Lubbock in general needs to expect a LOT more from its restaurants and its food. In Dallas this would not be considered ‘the best pizza in town”– as I have heard people say about this place. Meh. Meh. Meh.

Open when you want a drink. Superb bottled beer selection makes up for a single tap that always has something interesting. Great pizza… warm and friendly staff! If you are turned off by other reviews, I believe they are from a smaller town perspective. Capital pizza would be a very spacious pizza joint in a large city. We love that they are in tech terrace!

We just moved to Lubbock and we’re looking for pizza based off of location(Capital is just down the street from a house we are moving into) so we checked out this place. We ordered takeout so we may have to go back and eat in the restaurant to see if it is any better. Good size pizza for the price but when we got the pizza home it seemed like most of the dough in the middle was undercooked and overall there just wasn’t that much sauce. Good amount of toppings and cheese, quick call-to-pick up timing. I hope it’s even better when we eat in the restaurant.

One of the best, hands down. Ingredients are top quality and they pave the way for amazing dishes. If you’re looking for something family friendly, down home, West Texas values… go somewhere else. Nothing against them either. Kids and the like would enjoy, and be more suited, for«Olé’ Chuck-E» or Mr. Gattis. Honestly, this place is exactly what it needs to be to crank out kick-ass pizza. If you want amazing pizza and can have a thick skin about it, this place is just about as good as it gets. Much like Seinfeld’s «Soup Nazi», it’s up to you whether or not you can deal with what is needed to get the desired result, fantastic pizza.

Extremely rude staff, and the posted hours of operation are completely wrong. Not much else to say, other than dining at a restaurant is an experience. I could easily order a pizza for delivery so when you’re a dine in pizza place, you MUST deliver a positive atmosphere and experience because there are far more convenient options.

Yummy pizza. Kinda took awhile to get food, but once we got it I was super impressed. Love the doughy pizza crust and they have good prices.

We had a very poor experience here. The pizza yes is delicious and the servers are very friendly. But my boyfriend was trying to cut the pizza and it slipped off the table and half of our pizza fell on the floor. They quickly cleaned it up and then the manager/owner(he didnt introduce himself or specify his importance at this establishment) came over and offered to give us half off of a small pizza. My boyfriend and friend and myself were confused as to why we would have to pay for another pizza, this pizza slipped off the table, it was an accident. That happens a lot in the food industry, my boyfriend myself and friend all work in the food industry. I attempted to talk to this owner/manager but he ignored anything and everything i had to say and only kept talking over me before walking away in the middle of our conversation and avoiding coming over to us for the duration of our stay. We didnt get a new pizza and we still had to pay full price even though we only had half of it. This manager/owner didnt offer to make a new pizza or a discount, he merely«offered» to make another pizza for half price. Will not be returning.

If it could have zero stars… I would give zero. Unilocal, the sign on the building, AND Google all say this place is open until 2AM. When walking up to the restaurant, the 10 people inside all stared dead eyed at us and continued blankly staring when we walked in … the interaction went word for word like this: Employee– Are you guys here for food? The kitchen closed at 11… My husband– We’ll I like beer too… Employee– We’ll the bar is about to close too. Sorry. Keep in mind we are normal looking people… late 20s, dressed normally, and completely sober. There was no reason to turn us away and blatantly lie to us. The weirdest part is that everyone in the bar just continued to stare at us the entire time like we were some other planet. I would also give Lubbock zero stars too but I don’t think Unilocal has a review available for that.

Awesome pizza, crust, cheese, and toppings choices. Went for a fundraiser and it was a bit crowded/disorganized service, but the servers didn’t lose their cool. They have good drink deals and my boyfriend(somewhat of a beer snob) was pleased with the beer offerings. Ordered a pizza with pepperoni and ricotta and incorrectly assumed that the normal cheese would also be on the pizza(it came out with only ricotta as the cheese). It was delicious anyways, but would’ve been nice to know. Looking forward to future visits.

I love this place!!! I highly recommend getting their cheese bread and whatever kind of pizza you’d like. I love their homemade sauce for dipping the cheese bread in. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

I give Capital Pizza a three star rating due to the fact that the first time I went ordered the Margherita Pizza and my boyfriend ordered what would be considered the ‘Meat Lovers’. The toppings and crust were delicious, but the type of cheese used is cheap mozzarella, throwing off the whole taste of the pizza. Neither us wanted to finish the pizza because the cheese was gross, we ended up tossing out basically a whole pizza. A few weeks later I went back again to give it a second chance because I heard from a friend you could order real mozzarella cheese on the pizza, for a few dollars extra so that’s exactly what I did with the same type of pizzas. Here’s the catch, we got the pizza and the mozzarella that I had paid extra for was little to none on the pizza, we were literally eating pizza crust, tomato sauce and occasionally a topping here and there. It was DISGUSTING. After two chances, I give up. I can’t afford a third. So if you’re picky & want good quality toppings, try else where.

This is my all-time favorite pizza place… anywhere, ever. If you like a very thick, soft-crusted Colorado style pie with super fresh ingredients and a great selection of bottled beer, you cannot go wrong with Capital Pizza. The crusts are so big, fluffy and delicious that they make such a satisfying second course when dipped in ranch after polishing off each tasty slice. My biggest culinary disappointment when I leave Lubbock is that I will have to leave Capital Pizza behind with it.

Had the Big One at Capital Pizza. Lots of flavorful toppings. Crust was fresh, a little chewy, and homemade. Crust was thin enough so that you didn’t feel like you were eating bread. Cozy and charming.

Best pizza I’ve ever had! The mango habanero sauce is delicious, has a nice balance of sweet and heat. The dough and crust is perfect Moved to Dallas and wish they had one here, it would easily be top 5 here. Every Time I’m in Lubbock I stop and get one or two for the road

A bit greasy, but in my opinion, the best thick crust pizza in Lubbock. They’ve got a decent toppings selection(covers the basics of mushrooms, peppers, meats, cheeses) as well as a really good cheese bread(which comes in a huge portion, be forewarned). The service is good, and I sometimes like just going there for a drink — their porch is a nice place to smoke and enjoy a beer(they’ve got a good selection and even some on tap). It can get a bit loud on sports gamedays since they play sports on TV most of the time, but overall a fun and chill atmosphere. The important thing is, the pizza is great. Try the Thai Curry(not really curry but quite delicious) if you’re feeling like ordering a specialty pizza! Otherwise, a simple pepperoni will satisfy.

Absolutely fantastic pizza, and cheese bread! Location is a bit hard to find, especially for those not familiar with Lubbock, but this place is WORTH the drive! Crust is very good, meats and cheeses are first rate, and the service we received was outstanding! Love this place! We need one in Austin!
