I love this place! It’s always fun and the food is usually spot-on. There have been a couple of occasions where something was off. But, typically, it’s really good.

I used to love coming here and hanging out with my friends, but the past two times I’ve been the chicken has made me crazy sick. I won’t be going back to this location again, I’m thankful there’s another one across town. It’s a cool place to hang out, eat queso and grab a drink; I just won’t be eating anything with chicken there any more.

What is there to say about a taco chain? Well, it’s a solid food option. Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Decent options if you’re a vegetarian(surprisingly difficult in West Texas). I’m always a sucker for breakfast tacos at night. So … all-in-all … A-OK. Hurray for another Review for the Sake of Reviewing! Original Visit … November 2015.

For a fairly popular place the food, wait time, and service left much to be desired. The tacos were cold, when the replacement tacos were brought, not much better. Taco meat was so salty no one could eat it. Horrible wait time with almost no one in line. First and last experience Fuzzy’s.

Fuzzy’s Tacos is a great place to get some drinks and have some Queso in Lubbock. I have always liked their Baja tacos and still order them. They come with a yummy creamy cilantro feta garlic sauce. The grilled shrimp is my current favorite, but it is hard to settle on one favorite. They always have coupons in the Campus Cash books that Texas Tech gives out at the Student Union Building. I am not a student, but let’s get real, every year I have a student friend who gets me a few books. They have a different drink special every night. For example, last night was $ 3 margaritas and Coors draft. The staff is helpful and usually students. The location has a great outdoor patio and outdoor bar as well. They allow dogs on the patio! What? A place in Lubbock that is dog friendly? YES!

Ordered four tacos and nachos to go — finally got my order 30 minutes later after three inquires about my food. When I opened the bag, the food was cold and not even what I ordered. I demanded a refund and I have not been back since — not because of the wait or wrong order, but simply because the manager refused to admit the cooks forgot the order. He tried making excuses, blaming other customers for stealing my tacos.

This place is an absolute must for college kids! Mondays they have 1 $ tacos, and the tacos and hot sauce are absolutely delicious. The bartender in the back bar is an absolute gem! Her name is Jessica and she is one of the friendliest down to earth people I’ve ever met, plus shell whip you up a strong drink for a good price.

My husband and I are alums of Texas Tech, so we’ve spent a good deal of time at Fuzzy’s. We are currently driving to San Francisco to relocate for work from Dallas, and we have our one-year-old lab puppy with us. We are used to dog-friendly patios in Dallas, so we were hoping to have a drink at one of our favorite college spots while waiting for a friend. We couldn’t go to numerous bars with our dog(not even outside), but Fuzzy’s is dog-friendly and allowed us to sit outside with her and even gave her water. The food and drinks are amazing, of course, but this experience made us love Fuzzy’s even more!

I love Fuzzy’s! Shrimp tacos-both grilled and tempura-are my favorites. This location is usually quick and has a good, college-town, atmosphere.

STOP! Don’t even bother going here. The chips they gave me were so stale and hard they cracked my front tooth. I’m still waiting for fuzzys corporate to contact me about what they are going to do. Personally I didn’t ask for my tooth to be cracked and I feel they are 100% responsible to fix it and pay me for the dentist bill.

It’s my go to place in Lubbock if I can. The nachos are excellent and huge, the nacho cheese is better!

We drove about an hour and a half to get lunch here today. Granted, on a Sunday afternoon, I would expect the place to be crowded and the food to take a bit longer than usual. However, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We first got the queso and chips. Their queso is generally topped with pico, shredded cheese, and, I believe, cilantro. Queso should also be hot(temperature, if not spice). However, it was plain, lukewarm, and served with cold, stale chips. Our food took nearly forty minutes for simple tacos, a burrito, and rice. When our number was called, I was only then informed that they did not have the primary ingredient in my taco(crawfish) and what could they substitute? I was, of course, not happy. I asked that they sub the fried shrimp, and please remember no tomatoes as per my original order. Meanwhile, they forgot another small component of our order, and the food served was barely warm. When they called me for the new taco, the shrimp was grilled, lukewarm, and the taco was covered in tomatoes. I was tempted to bring the entire order back, but we had been there for far too long as it was and I just wanted to eat and start the drive back home. The one saving grace was a gentleman working there who was cleaning tables. He, at least, was concerned about our experience and offered to help fix the problem. At that point, though, it was too late. This is Texas. We have no shortage of good Mexican/Tex-Mex food. The food was mediocre when we were here last month, and I had hoped it was an aberration. I will certainly not be returning to this location and hope that other Fuzzy’s locations are not exhibiting a similar decline in quality and service.

Horrible. Margaritas do not come frozen. The mix ins for the margaritas taste nasty. The queso is tasteless. Not worth it to go. Just not good over all

One of my go to places in Lubbock and one of the best/cheapest places To drink. The food here isn’t anything special, but my favorites are the shrimp tacos and shrimp salad

My husband and I used to enjoy going to Fuzzy’s for good margaritas and tacos and we were regulars every Friday night for awhile. We recently went on a Friday night since we hadn’t been in awhile and it was just awful. When we walked in it seemed more like a club than anything. The girl who took our order at the counter seemed annoyed that we were ordering food(most people were just drinking) and when our food came out it wasn’t anywhere near the quality we were used to having there. Our food was cold, bland, and skimpy. They gave us the wrong beers. All in all it was a total waste of time and money. I’ll try the second location but we will never return to the one on Broadway again.

Almost every time we visit Lubbock we make a stop at this Fuzzys Tacos. Today, we picked up tacos and nachos for dinner for us and my husbands grandfather. Needless to say we were HIGHLY disappointed in the quality of food this time. When we got to the house(about 3 miles away) the food was soggy and ICE cold. Even the black beans and queso. And the queso had a burnt flavor. We are so disappointed in our experience with Fuzzys today. After this visit I’m not sure I would recommend it.

Thank goodness this place wasn’t around while I was in college, or I would have never graduated. I’m not sure anything in here costs more than 5 – 6 bucks. Salads are huge. Pitchers of beer are cheap. Queso is good. Food is good. What more do you want, seriously???

I love this concept! Such a cool atmosphere, and the décor is great. I’d give the concept and feel of the place a Five star, but the food was not anything special. I need a great salsa to go with my Mexican food, Fuzzy’s is lacking just that. Also they need a better flour tortilla! I’m a sucker for great tortillas and I wasn’t a big fan if theirs. But I do love their souvenir cups! So overall I gave a four star. Really cool place, glad we stopped:)

The good: yummy tacos. Chill fun atmosphere, very laid back. Great drink specials! I think we had $ 2.00 margaritas? Food: Got the taco special with one shredded beef and one other type of beef? Both good. Came with beans and potatoes. The bf got a tempura shrimp taco and a chicken taco. Both yummy especially the shrimp. I’ll be getting that next time. The sauce: The habanero sauce is no joke. I get everything spicy or extra spicy, but that stuff was hooooot. And of course I drenched my tacos in it before tasting. Oh well, had the margs to help wash it down. Fuzzy moon: Margarita with a blue moon in it. YUM. $ 7.00 Totally worth it. The bad: nothing bad to say. It’s a rowdy place. Don’t go if you’re looking for a romantic evening. Overall, we would go back. Would be a great place to watch a game.

Love this place-baja style tacos(love the grilled fish) and extremely casual Texas Tech campus place. They are opening up in SW Lubbock(near me) and if they keep the food great it will hook me! It is pretty cheap and has a decent selection of beers. Kind of a Sports Bar vibe. This place advertises nowhere. Needs more word of mouth!
