A good book store. The only book store left in town.

The owner is warm, friendly and very helpful! I think you could find just about anything here. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing. Great place to stop in and just browse and breathe! Say hello to Max when you go in!

Huge wonderful selection, I pretty much gasped when I entered. Coming from Dallas where Half-priced books is king it was a blessing to find Hesters. They don’t have as good a selection, but they did have some books you won’t find anywhere else. They have a trade policy as well. Didn’t get much into it.

I love this bookstore. I’m from out of town, but everytime that I’m in town, I make sure to make a stop here, even if its a quick one. There’s just something about the atmosphere of the place that I love. I am always able to find what I’m looking for easily.

I liked this store better than The Book Rack. It is a lot larger, with kids books, history, sci fi, books on tape, westerns, biology, legal books, documentaries, lots of Christian and religion books, a lot of everything. The shelves are very high, maybe 12 feet high or so. Everything was sorted out alphabetically. The lady in the shop(owner?) was nice. She had her pet whippet dog, Max, in the shop which was cute. I found several hardbacks, then ran into the policy that to get hardbacks you had to trade hardbacks, so she offered to hold the books for me for a few weeks until I get some hardbacks in. She did note that they are selective on taking in hardbacks though as they have too many. They have a similar policy to The Book Rack, you have to pay a percentage of your bill in cash, about half. I was happy with this store and the HUGE selection so I will be back for sure.
