Do not get your expectations up here. It is a straight up dive!!! Cheap as all get out but when you are in the road and want a bed and a shower this will do. It’s not the cleanest place and I’d never bring my family here but like I said for a pit stop while working on the road it’s fine. As far as the prostitutes I haven’t seen that but… Like I said don’t expect a lot it does have a bar and a restaurant.

Had the misfortune of staying here with my mother, sister and two small nephews, and we were able to get adjoining rooms for the evening. My youngest nephew is crawling and we noticed the floor had tons of food particles, we asked the front desk attendant to have someone come vacuum, we were told that housekeeping was off for the day and to just keep the baby off the floor. My moms said NO just bring ME a vacuum and we would take care of it… so they did. Really, we should clean our own room? Come to find out they now rent this place by the hour, prostitutes roam about the atrium the and the staff’s children run the pool from 8am to 10pm. Upon pulling my mom’s bed back we were disgusted to see what appeared to be male body fluid all over the sheets, my sisters bed had crushed food particles between the fitted and top sheet and the box spring was broken. There was black mold on the walls in the bathroom, loose wiring hanging from the ceiling, the carpet was sticking and left your feet black, and the room smelled so bad I wanted to puke! ATTN Health department PLEASEMAKE A VISIT! I feel like I should have had some sort of vaccination after staying here… DISGUSTING!

Ahh, the Koko Inn. What more can I comment on that Betsy S. didn’t cover so accurately in the previous review? Upon opening the door for the first time, I literally choked on the stench of cigarette smoke infiltrating our non-smoking room. The lady at the front desk seemed thrilled for us to have a room«overlooking the park,» but neglected to mention said park was a fenced-in 12’x12’ plot of land only visible if you stood on top of the industrial sized dumpster haphazardly located in the middle of the hotel’s parking lot. The non-matching bedspreads on our two double beds were peppered with cigarette burns and ambiguous stains. Was that blood? Dried chocolate milk? Who knows! Luckily, I brought a blanket and pillow along for the 6+ hour drive to Lubbock and was able to burrito it up without touching the linens. I dreamt of drug lords and police shootouts all night between howls through the wall from the dog next door(apparently people live here. Like CHOOSE to live here). Had there been a fire, we never would have known – there were no alarms to be found in the room. We should have known not to trust a Lubbock motel with an aluminum palm tree out front. Lesson: LEARNED.

If there was a way to give negative stars, black holes perhaps, this would earn about –12. It is really as bad as the other reviews say… Perhaps worse. The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. We had to go buy bottles of Lysol to try to kill the odor… and there is not enough Lysol in the world! The shower and tub didn’t work. There was dog poop all over the outside. The carpets are dirty and threadbare. I am scared of the beds… And for God’s sake, don’t look up at the ceiling. The only good things I can say is that the desk attendants were friendly and maintenance was finally able to fix the shower… after they fixed things in a bunch of other rooms first. They are kept very busy here. Best advice: learn from our mistake. Make reservations for Tech graduation early enough to avoid being forced to stay here.
