Asked for one simple thing on menu! Wanted a double burger and «no menu changes»! I guess they dont care about customer service! No more business from us!

I booked our company Christmas party there for 21 people. They’re all between 22 and 25 years old and I thought they’d enjoy something fun for the holidays. The service was excellent throughout the entire process. We got the Ultimate Package, 60 bucks which included 2 drink coupons, buffet, private VIP room, tokens, and unlimited play for 4 hours. They had a great buffet set up with salmon, mushroom ravoli and beef tenderloin, etc., they reserved 3 bowling lanes with desserts for us and had servers just for the party. I was really happy with the whole deal and will highly recommend Main Event for a function like this. The Millennials got to run amok and I got to sit back and enjoy. Thanks!

In town traveling and wanted to watch a football game on NFL Network. I ask at the front desk if they have the channel and can put it on. Manager says yes, and they’ll put it on in the bar area. I order up a beverage and the game doesn’t come on. I wait about 10 minutes and go ask. Manager– We don’t have that channel. A) How do you run a place with a bar and not have NFL Network? B) How do you not know it? C) Once you realize your mistake, how do you not find the customer and apologize?

We go to a lot of places like this. This one was clean. The employees don’t seem to know anything about customer service. The games were priced too high compared to all the competition. Pizza was ok. We had to go behind the counter to find someone to take our order. The card machine took our money and didn’t give us a card to use so we had to wait about 15 minutes to find an employee to help us.

We went to Main Event for the first time recently and we were very impressed! Lots of fun things for the entire family. Food was great and the bar had a very large selection with great drinks. Our bartender Jess was very knowledgeable and friendly, we enjoyed our time with her at the bar. Only bad thing is that it’s very expensive.

This place is rundown. Food was subpar and seriously about half the video games were broken. Will not be going back again.

Where to start. Had my cousins 11^th bday there on a mon. Price was ok at 10 $ plus shoe rentals for bowling. I don’t know if it’s just my luck or if the staff there is actually just rude period. Every time I have gone there I have had a bad experience with the staff being rude or just not caring if they have customers. They have servers that take orders on the bowling floor, we were there for an hour before our server came up to us and asked us if we needed anything. That’s not the first time that this has happened. After we finished bowling the kids decided to go play laser tag so us adults went to the billiards side. At the counter once again no help. One girl was taking the persons order in front of us and what looked like to be a manager was standing there fussing with something, when finished we thought he would acknowledge us and ask us if we needed help. But no he did not. Instead he turned around and started talking to three other waitress who where just standing there also. So finally got our table and started playing. That to was a joke, the tables and cues where in decent shape but come on who doesn’t have chalk at a billiards place. That’s not the kicker of it all. In the rest rooms there was actual feces cover paper on the floors amongst other trash. You would think for the price the management team there if there is one would actually either clean up or have staff clean up. Very disappointed in this place. Will not be going back.

All the arcade machines are broken so they’ll take your money and not give you points or just won’t work and you can’t get a refund. The food is gross and the drinks are poorly mixed with little alcohol. Your kids may have fun, but it’ll cost you an arm and a leg and feel ripped off. I know it’s the only «fun» thing to do in Lubbock, but it’s not worth it.

Such a great time! The pizza was great and when you throw in bowling and laser tag this place is great! It was even efficient given that the place was packed!

Overall clean and fun place. But only if you have $ 100+ to spend. The kids and family will love it, but the food is WAY overpriced and very poor quality.
It’s $ 7 for a game of laser tag and the same for lights off golf.
Bowling is pretty fun too.

What a great place for family fun. Great food too. Try the ribs and hamburgers they are awesome. There is something for Everyone.

Im sure it’s the kid in me, but I love Main Event. It is very clean, not terribly expensive, and because of its large size it doesn’t seem crowded.
I would suggest renting a bowling lane for an hour and then your party has unlimited bowling for that time. The food and drinks offered is pretty good, but (again because of its size) sometimes the servers can take a little while.
The mini golf is sorta corny and tends to be my least favorite part of our visits. But, like Barney Stinson I will laser tag my butt off.

Love this place. Especially for large groups.

Not quite sure how I feel about being charged per hour instead of per game as far as the bowling goes. Also not sure how I feel about having bowling ball sizes «small, medium, large» etc. instead of pounds. Maybe that’s just how Texas rolls. See what I did there? I used bowling jargon to make the reader feel more comfortable.
But the important thing is that I had a pretty fun time. It was late on a Sunday night and there wasn’t much of a crowd, which I liked. Back home, my bowling experience is usually ruined by jam packed alleys filled with riffraff and douche bags, or the sheer inability to acquire a lane due to league play. At least on this night, I didn’t have to worry about any of those things. Unlike some people, I do enjoy the flashy lights and all the hip-​hop music during the game. Mas points.
If you don’t feel like chewing tobacco and drinking beer like a normal Texan and want to have some good old fashion fun, Main Event is the place to go.

I went here for an ill-​planned evening of trying to catch up with my cousins over some bowling.
The Good:
I went on a Monday night and there was an all inclusive pass that only cost about $ 10.
I ordered a bucket of Bud Light and the bottles were pints in the shape of bowling pins.
The Bad:
I didn’t expect a bowling alley to turn virtually turn into a club at night. It’s definitely not what I was expecting. The music was way too loud for anyone to talk.
Each game of bowling cuts out after 1 hour. If you’re playing with a full list of people, you definitely won’t get through a whole game. When the time runs out you have to go to the front to get the workers to start another game for you.
Overall:
Now I know what I’m getting into if I try going at night. If you want good olé bowling, definitely go during the day.
