The crew who run pita pit are great; the shitty customers, not so much. I had a perfectly fine gyro ruined by a belligerent patron’s shouting at the staff to make sure her screaming spawn got cooked olives & bellpeppers. The poor bastard manning the grill was overwhelmed, and the gyro I paid $ 8 for had become tainted by these alien accoutrements. One solace I found in the mistake was that the mother of the«child» now had to wait in impotent rage for her child’s veggies to be re-grilled(I offered the grillman a $ 50 to put her behind every other customer, but he declined.) My advice: do not permit the accidental offspring of human trash onto the premises, or at least add late-term abortions to your list of services. Giving into the hysterics of a shouting breeder is no different than surrendering your sovereignty to a foreign despot. Remember, even Hitler was once an infant.

Customizable, perfect pitas that are made-to-order. They have a bazillion combos, and the kind staff will be patient as you figure out the right one for you We went to Pita Pit because I was wanting something light, but turns out I got the Gryo Trip, the Gryo and Chicken Souvlaki combo. This was one of many listed on the white board below the menu as additional favorites, and it did not disappoint. Seriously. The meat was awesome and flavor, so much that it didn’t need sauce. And I’m a fan of sauce, so that’s huge for me. They have a TON of fresh options, so fully consider what veggie vibe you’re going with and stick to your guns. I did not. I went a little crazy with it. But regardless, my Gyro Trip pita with jalapeños, green chiles, spinach, mushrooms, pickles, onions, etc. was exceptional, even with this misstep. There were more sauces than you could imagine(we’re talking 20 here), so you’re bound to find one you like. I got the ancho chipotle, jalapeño ranch, and secret sauce on the side to try em all. Favorite response when I asked what’s in the secret sauce? «Um… It’s a secret.» *face palm* But it’s a tangy flavor, more of a oil and vinegar with fun spices in it. Worth the try. Also, if you’re into it, they have one of those space-age Coke Freestyle machines. Which means OFCOURSE we had Vanilla Coke Zero with our meal. Don’t know if it’s an all-the-time thing, but my husband and I each got $ 1 off pita coupons with our purchase! Wahoo, this place was great! Can’t wait to go back.

Super unassuming place(it’s got a sort of Quiznos or Subway vibe) but definitely delicious pitas. The giant menu board above the line has great options, but make sure to check the whiteboard lower down for the«local faves.» I grabbed the«Primetime»(prime rib and lamb/beef gyro) and it was ridiculously good. Go ahead and let yourself get carried away by the toppings(they’re all free) but make good decisions. I could see it being easy to create a pita-monstrosity. Pro tip: The line starts at the back of the store. I was definitely confused by the toppings being front and center when you walk in the door, but the good stuff starts a little further down the counter.

I adore pita pit. Everyone is friendly, the food is always outstanding. The fact that it delivers is also great for lazy days, of which I have many. I recommend the super vegan. I am not vegan, I always at feta. It is delicious and you’ll love it

This place is GREAT! I’m plant-based and they had several options. It’s fun to watch them put the pitas together, they’re easy to eat and very delicious. Wish we had one here in San Angelo!

This was my first visit to pita pit and it definitely won’t be my last. The establishment was clean and the gentlemen working was friendly. You pay first and choose your meat for your pita. Mention that you are a student for a discount! There was lots of choices for meats but I chose chicken. From there I was directed towards a subway style build your own pita setup. I liked that I didn’t have to pay extra for any toppings you could get as much as you want! Also thought it was awesome that they grilled my vegetables upon request. My pita was very good and very filling. Price was fair. Giving 5 stars until I have a poor experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Pita Pit! It is so much more than just pitas and falafels. Just about every combination of meats in a pita, and plenty if meatless options to not get bored. There are even breakfast themed wraps. You can choose to have it as a salad(everything is the same just no pita on top of your choice of greens), and you can choose your type of pita. I’ve tried it both ways. Your toppings are endless. Nothing is extra like guacamole or hummus. What I love is how sanitary the staff are. They can cook your food on the grill or will ask if you want the falafels heated in the microwave instead of on the grill with all the meat. They also wash their hands and change their gloves upon making your meal. They are very careful to ask what your preferences are, regarding your protein selection. The toppings are endless and the sauces are extensive. They always let me try the sauces first to make sure I like what I pick! The staff here are excellent every time I have come, so there is consistency which I find important. This is the best«fast food» spot you could ever hope for.

Great food at a great price. Love coming here with my fiancé for lunch! There are tons of options to choose from, it’s like a better tasting subway. The staff is always nice.

I cannot rate Pita Pit lower than a 5 because of a couple of reasons. First off, from a fast food pita place, you can’t get better than this. The ingredients are always fresh and the fact that the meat and anything else you want on it(veggies and sauce) are grilled right in front of you is a big plus! Second, the staff, is always friendly and I have had nothing less than the best customer service from them. They are willing to accommodate and personalize your food any way you want. Even in this busiest times, they are very courteous, which leaves you with a good feeling as you walk out of that place Lastly, the price is fairly reasonable and they always have good discounts like«finals week specials» and free drink coupons available with each meals. Also their customer rewards card comes in handy often. Overall, a great place and nothing less than a 5!

Visited Pita pit for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is great the process is great the selection of toppings is unbeatable and everything went fairly well. The only slight criticism I would have is on price it was very expensive for a sandwich shop I had a Pita chips and a drink and it cost me almost $ 11. That’s a little bit too much for lunch in Lubbock.

Had the Super Vegan(falafel + spicy black bean) & a Hummus with extra hummus. Never tried this place before and was in search of quick vegan option. Neat idea. Felt a bit overpriced by a few bucks though especially since pita bread isnt very thick so you dont get as full as you would at a sandwich shop. For that reason, we had to order an extra to feel full. Overall, pretty good experience and will be coming back next time we come through town to utilize our point card and $ 1 off coupons we recieved. Staff also informed me that Denton, TX has a shop!(Closer to home for me) :)

What took us so long to try Pita Pit?! I had the black bean pita and pita with hummus to share with hubby. So tasty and fresh! Friendly employees, clean restaurant, affordable, too! Thanks, Pita Pit!

Love this place! I try a different local special every time and have yet to be disappointed. So much better than just burritos with more veggies and filling choices. If you have a chance to eat at a Pita Pit and want something fresh and healthy, don’t pass it up! The staff at my local one is also very good and knowledgable with helping you throughout your experience.

This place is so good! They have a menu for you to choose from but you pretty much cohost your protein, they grill it(you even have an option to grill your veggies), choose white or wheat pita bread, pick other vegetables and sauces and then they wrap it up for you. It’s similar to subway but you don’t have to pay extra for avocado or hummus. I gave them 4 stars mainly because we’ve never been there and didn’t get much help. Other than that great place. I got the gyro and it was delicious.

NOBREWEDICETEA!!! They only have the syrup Peak Tea out of a plastic bag! REALLY? A restaurant that doesn’t take the time to brew a pot of tea!?? It makes me question where else do they shortcut their customers??? I’m sorry, but syrup tea is a big deal to me. The Pita Pit promotes healthy then only have syrup dispensed soft drinks and iced tea.(And water of course) Maybe the syrup Peak Tea is not unhealthy; I don’t know. I do know it tastes horrible. As for the food. It was reasonably good. It’s definitely worth a return visit… but, the Peak Tea will keep me from coming back. Food taste 4 stars. Food serving size 3 stars. Drinks 1 star. Price 5 stars. Personnel 5 stars. Cleanliness 5 stars. So, overall if they had brewed tea I would have likely given a 5 star review. If the tea is not a deal breaker for you, as it is me, then you’ll probably enjoy Pita Pit. (I want to give one star because I dislike the Peak Tea so much, but because I intimately know the challenges of business ownership I’m going to leave 2 stars as a gift.)

Its so good! Its like a subway with pita instead of bread(but way better). I got the gyro trip and it was really good. The tzantia sauce that goes with it is good. You have the option of white or wheat pita. They also have a pretty decent rewards program. Its a point for every dollar spent and you can redeem the points for food. My only grip is that they are SLOW. For having everything premade(they just need to regrill meat and throw on veggies) it took a really long time. Took about 30 minutes. Their system is just innefficent(they can only warm one pita at a time). That being said, employees are Nice and food is great so I’ll be coming back when I’m not pressed for time. Oh I also love the fact that everything is evenly distrubed through the pita and its rolled in such a way that nothing falls out of the bottom.

This is my NEWFAVE place!!! Everything is always fresh and ALWAYS good! Who ever said healthy had to be bland or nasty … No one! They have lots of very tasty sauces and the veggies are so fresh! I can’t express how good this places is! Even my 7 year old son loves it his fave is the«little turkey» with hummus and spinach and pickles with sour cream! Lol odd combo but perfect for him! U pick ur meats … Ur veggies and sauces and make it ur own! Good luck :)
