The fro yo is good but the place is normally pretty dirty and the people that work there would really rather be doing anything else. They do have a great selection of frozen yogurt, and all the machines work(which is rare in my experience in fro yo shops). I also really enjoy their fruit selection, it’s always fresh and ripe. I’ve been some places that have canned fruit and das nasty. I come here every so often with a group of people and they always make it seem like it’s a big hassle when we try to move the tables and chairs. We always clean up and put everything back and they seem to ease up a little afterwards. Overall I wouldn’t really recommend this place, but at the same time I know I’ll be back because it’s so close to my house and really convenient being just across the street from Texas Tech. I try to just go in, get the goods, and leave.

Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Variety: 5⁄5 Quality of fro-yo: 4.5÷5 Price: 5⁄5 Being from California where there’s a fro-yo shop on every corner I am used to being able to get amazing fro-yo at anytime. I’ve tried a few places here in Lubbock in the past few months and Spoonfull is hands down the best! I was really surprised at how reasonable their prices are as well, I’m used to paying anywhere from 64 cents to $ 1.19 per ounce in CA, but it was less than half the mean here! I was also very impressed with how clean everything is. The machines are also extremely clean(which is really nice to see). I tried several flavors and in my opinion, their pumpkin pie and key lime pie are the two best flavors! I’m not a huge fan of putting a ton of toppings in my fro-yo, but based upon my observations the selection was reasonable(it isn’t as vast as Big Spoon’s, which literally takes up an entire wall), but they were well stocked, everything looked very fresh, and the choices were all fairly healthy! Even though this shop is clear on the other side of Lubbock from me, I will definitely be coming back anytime I have a craving for fro-yo!!!

This place is ok. They have a wide variety of yogurt but not as many toppings as other places I’ve been to. And it was pretty expensive. Not very impressed!

This place is def a good spot to get some dessert after having dinner or lunch. I stop by here at least 20 times a school year because I love the vanilla frozen yogurt. The vanilla never disappoints! They don’t have a large selection of flavors at one time but they are always bringing in new flavors like Tres Leche or Watermelon on occasion. The toppings in the front have a large variety from seasonal fruit to sour gummy worms. The staff use to be made up of the same two guys who were very friendly, but now it’s composed of a new college student every week who is more concerned with texting than ringing up customers. Last time I was there the girl working the cash register was eating toppings with some boy over the counter and taking a dip in the little cheesecake topping bin with her bare hands. NOTSANITARY! This place loses points for being small, but it does have a very modern feel that is good for hanging out with friends, and the bathroom gets a thumbs up for being clean.

My husband and I stopped in to have yogurt and wished the owners would drop in to check out how their«help» was taking care of business. There were used sample cups left in the tray of all the machines. It is bad enough that patrons try a sample and just leave their cups, but you would think the employees would discard them at some point. I’m not talking about one or two cups… there were tons of them. The girl that was working was much more interested I talking to her friends than talking our money. She had her back to the register much of the time we were there. I saw one male employee walk by the machines, take a sample himself, and put some of the sample cups into the plastic bin that was under the dispenser instead of throwing them away. If I were the owner, I would drop in more often to see what my employees were doing while they were supposed to be working… It was gross. Won’t be going back there for a while!

Horrible staff! Kids sitting on food serving surfaces texting on their phones, customers are just a nuisance… I won’t return. If the owner cares that little about how poorly the site is run, I won’t go there. Wow, really awful!

What’s that?! Little pieces of mochi for your frozen yogurt topping? That makes for a first and lasting good impression! Otherwise this is a fairly standard assembly-line style frozen yogurt shop. Pick your flavors, mix if you want. Pick your toppings. Make something unusual then weigh-n’-pay. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be back just because of the mochi pieces for a topping — it really sets them apart from the other little yogurt shops I’ve seen.

worst frozen yogurt ever. I don’t know if this is too small of a town but when I went the frozen yogurt was dripping out of the machine… meaning it wasn’t creamy and the flavors were too tart! The place was packed though so my review will probably mean nothing.

One of my favorite places in Lubbock. you can get dessert without feeling like a «fat kid.» I love how it’s all do-it-yourself, so you get exactly what and how much you want, plus it’s pretty darn cheap at $.35/ounce. My go-to is the cake batter yogurt with tons of fresh cut strawberries and blueberries sprinkled with mini chocolate kisses. They switch out the flavors from time to time and you can do weird mixes like coffee and green apple –yeah it was GOOD. Don’t expect any niceties from the kids at the counter; they’re always busy playing Angry Birds on their iPhones. But then you don’t really need them to make the perfect frozen treat.

Spoonful is one of Lubbock’s first frozen yogurt shops. faring better than Lubbock’s previously run frozen yogurt shops because of its college atmosphere and great yogurt. I believe it is Lubbock’s first self serve yogurt or there first self serve yogurt since i have been here. spoonful offers a relaxing atmosphere and great yogurt. I must say i was really disappointed when they took out there green apple yogurt. Spoonfuls flavors are more sweet then most others giving yogurt a different spin compared to your usual tart. Another note is a very large variety of toppings. Spoonful also offers topping from cereal to «mochi bites». there are 14 yogurt machines i believe and once you have picked your flavor and filled your cup you go to the cashier where he/she charges you based on weight.(sampling can also be done)

I had heard through grape vine about this place and it definitely didn’t disappoint. While I’m willing to bet that the layout isn’t original it is definitely unique to Lubbock and the dessert was great. The décor was a modern style with a lot of color and light. Rather minimal furnishings helps Spoonfull stand out from the crowd. The inside looks like somebody with a healthy credit card went to town at IKEA and bought the store out. The way it works is you head to a wall that has(I think) 14 yogurt machines and sample cups to try out the varieties. Once you narrow it down you proceed to fill your cup with as much yogurt as you want, if you a want a few drops or pounds of the stuff it is there for the taking. You then move to the topping station and are face to face with probably 60 different toppings. Everything from fresh cut kiwi to sprinkles to captain crunch is available and like before you dump on as much as you want. The last stop is the register where the snack is weighed and you pay by the ounce. You can then sit inside and listen to the good music or walk down to Firehouse subs and use one of their outside tables.
