Really enjoy this shops take on bubble tea. Yes, if you are comparing it to an actual bubble tea shop in California, you may be disappointed, just because there are only a few flavors. And it’s a donut shop first, so go with the expectation for awesome donuts and some great bubble tea on the side. But since this is Lubbock, TX, this bubble tea is awesome. And they do have some interesting flavors, mango, avocado, honeydew and a few others. I’m a fan and will return.

Most awesome donut shop I’ve ever been too. They are REALLY friendly to customers, super nice and addictive to talk to. If you visit lubbock or happen to be coming through, a stop by is highly recommended. Did I mention the honeydew smoothie? You’ll never taste something like that in any other place. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could.

Donut shops are a dime a dozen in Texas but TT is by far my favorite in Lubbock. It opened right before I left for college out of state and even when I would return(once every five months or so) they always remember me and tend to throw in an extra donut or something. Couldn’t ask for better customer service!

We looked up this place for«boba tea» or «bubble tea» a great refreshing drink made with exotic flavors and tapioca balls. If you google boba tea you will find several photos of this product(most of them over ice, not blended). We found this place on the internet and they advertised 12 flavors of bubble tea. Upon arrival the clerk didn’t know what we were talking about. She asked her boss(the owner) and she said yes they have 4 flavors but they were out of one. so that left 3. Melon, Taro, and Avocado. So that hindered things some. We ordered 3 teas at $ 3.50 each and she started pouring ice in the blender. We asked her for regular tea not blended tea. She stated it only comes blended. We explained that what we want is the bubble tea«just without ice». She said NO, she wouldn’t make it that way. «What?!? You WON’T make it that way? Like, you refuse?» She said that isn’t the way bubble tea is made and she won’t do it. I said we had already paid, and tried to reason with her. All we want is the exact thing you’re making just leave the ice out. «No. I won’t make it that way. It is not the real way, it is not the way I was taught, sorry.» Real way? It’s the way that 90% of bubble tea is served nationwide… It was a Thursday and the place was EMPTY. We were the only customers. I explained that this was the way we expected the tea and that in the future we just would not return. She said that would be fine.(I guess they’re in the position to turn down business. all for ice?) So I said, «go ahead and make it the way you need to but we won’t come back.» We sat down at the table to wait for our order and about ten minutes later she came over and asked us if we wanted it or not.(What have you been doing for ten minutes?) So at that point I was very frustrated so we just asked for our money back and they gladly refunded us while saying sorry, they just won’t make it that way.
