I have had a wonderful experience all the times I’ve attended this lovely restaurant. The bacon wrapped chicken melts in your mouth and the salad bar has many wonderful options. Will be back soon(:

Churrasca offers a traditional take of a Brazilian steakhouse in the comfort of Lubbock’s backyard. It has everything a fancy establishment and dinner date/family dinner would require: amazing cuts of meat(juicy, well seasoned, perfectly cooked) check; delicious cheese bread; and a great private ambiance. The restaurant is surprisingly pretty big and usually not very busy during week days. Nevertheless, no matter what day it is their servers and staff are kind and attentive to every guest. Whenever my family visits and we get to come to Churrasca, it reminds me that I have a little bit of home with me right here in Lubbock. –And while I’m not a big fan of salad in general, I do think that their salad bar could definitely step it up a bit. Not only with their availability of greens, but maybe cold cuts and even fresh hot black beans and white rice. –But in the end, I think we are all here for the meat! So, I look forward to the next fancy date on my calendar!

The service and staff here are without parallel in the culinary no man’s land that is Lubbock Texas. If you’re not familiar with the concept, a Brazilian steak house starts off with a trip to a «salad» bar… if your definition of salad bar includes fresh salmon, prosciutto, salami, a ton of cheeses, roasted jalapeños, mushrooms, and a very nice selection of actual salads if you’re vegitarianly included(weirdo). After you’ve finished with the salad bar, which at any normal establishment would qualify as appetizer, meal, and quite a bit beyond that, you will be explained the process for the meat extravaganza you’re about to be blessed with. A group of roving waiters called gauchos will walk by offering you a selection of many different cuts of beef, pork, chicken, and sausage. The kicker is that they bring it on a sword. That’s right guys, your every childhood fantasy has now been fulfilled, your food served to you via sword. Now, you’ll also have noticed through the haze of flame roasted beef nirvana that there is a little green square for everyone. Pay very close attention to this, as it is the method for indicating to your gaucho that you’ve temporarily abated with the mass consumption, or gone full French and become a cheese eating surrender monkey. Be warned, the Gauchos will bring you food until you surrender or die. The choice is entirely up to you.

The food here was quite good and well done. The meats were tender and well flavored. However, I think poor service makes it impossible to enjoy the experience. When you first sit down, the service is quite good. The waiters are friendly and acknowledge you. They ensure you have everything you need. However, as you stay past 30 minutes, everyone gradually start ignoring you. I eat slowly so I really appreciate it when server maintain good attitudes and service through the entire duration of my visit. As well as eating an only meat meal requires some pacing naturally. The meat servers no longer come at all to your table even with your green sign facing up. Essentially, it’s all you can eat if you can force someone to come to your table and give you something. Which certainly shouldn’t be the case when you charge such large prices boasting about an all you can eat experience. Waiters who would see us flagging them down would turn around and ignore us. Although the food is good, the service leaves a lot to be desired and was deeply disappointing. Another minor complaint is that none of the servers seem to have any knowledge of what type of meat they are serving! One of them kept repeating only«they are different» when I was trying to ask what the difference between two kinds of meats were. I think the servers should possess some rudimentary knowledge of the types meats when working at a restaurant that supposedly prides itself in its well selected and cooked meats.

I have been to several Brazilian Steakhouses around the country. This one ranks right up there with the best of them, I have been here several times over the past few months. Their house special is incredible and I never pass it up as it comes by my table. This is one of the most reasonably priced Brazilian steakhouses that I have been to. If you have a special occasion to celebrate you can not go wrong choosing this restaurant to celebrate at.

This was a terrible dining experience. We have been coming here since they opened a few years ago and it has slowly become worse and worse in terms of food quality, service, and cocktails. Tonight our meat, if and when it came out, was either over cooked or raw. Took at least 30 min to get a cocktail, they were out of Makers Mark & Knob Creek. I relented and said I’d take a chilton. They brought me what tasted like pure lemon, no salt on the rim, and most likely no vodka in it. Apparently they’re under new ownership, new Mngmnt, etc. Terrible food, terrible drinks, and terribly disappointed we decided to give this place another try. Won’t make that mistake again. Save your money. Go somewhere else. You’d think as the only Brazilian steakhouse in town they’d do a much better job. There’s a market for a restaurant like this in Lubbock.

My girlfriend and I go here pretty often for college students but we love this place. The salad bar here is great and the unlimited sides are also a nice touch. My favorite cut here is the house special which is very tasty and the perfect amount of saltiness. One thing I noticed here however is that some of the staff have blatantly ignored us because we were college kids. Idk maybe they think I won’t tip or something however I’ll always tip at least 20% here for the service and food. If the servers are all paying close attention to the tables around us with older people but ignoring us that’s just plain disrespectful. Only other things I didn’t like was last time we ate there one of the servers made fun of the meat servers for his thick accent which really pissed me off, I don’t know what made her think that was appropriate and last is they don’t label the stuff at the salad bar. Would come again

«Hello there beautiful…» These are the words that left my mouth over and over again throughout the night as I was presented with one amazing dish after another. Churrasca is certainly not for the faint of heart — get ready for your inner-carnivore to emerge. The salad bar is absolutely amazing. It is full of cheeses, prosciutto, shrimp cocktails, and almost anything that your heart desires in a salad. However, who is going to a Brazilian Steakhouse for the salad? By flipping over the card your waitress gives you at the beginning, you unlock the doors to heaven. Some of my favorite meats were the bacon wrapped fillet mignon, leg of lamb, medium rare ribeye and shrimp. The service here is amazing. I went for my birthday 2 weeks ago and it was my favorite birthday I’ve had in Lubbock so far. What’s better than never having an empty glass? Never having a plate that isn’t being loaded up with amazing meat. The moist, tender cuts of meat kept me asking for more. I cannot recommend this place enough when you’re planning something special.

We have been here a few times and each time had a wonderful experience. We broght my fiancé’for his first Brazilian experience. The market bar was wonderful. We started off with great service but somewhere around the third pass, the gouchos would come to our area and then turn and go the other direction. We would get excited to see a great cut of meat headed or way then. .awwwww …come back. We don’t know why all of a sudden we were ignored. And the head goucho was grouchy and when we asked about the lamb, he said, well we wont bring it if ya’ll won’t eat it or like it. But my sweet daughter in law spoke with the manager and he was very kind to us. After its like a dam broke and the succulents flowed haha. I’m sure we’ll be back but hope we don’t get groucho the goucho!

We came here for my 12 year old nephews birthday. Two of us only wanted the salad bar and when the waiter came back to our table he told us it was too late. He had already charged our table. He said there was no manager and that we would have to be charged full price. The meats were salty and fatty and didn’t taste very fresh. I would never spend $ 35/person for this place.

The Picanha here is my very favorite. It is their house cut and is the prime cut of a sirloin. It is really thin, packed with flavor, and the perfect medium rare. My other favorite meat here isn’t on the online menu, but is always available if you ask. It is surprisingly their chicken thighs and wings. They are so perfectly juicy and have an amazing flavor of the garlic spices. I love their service and the quality of the whole experience. It is for sure a 5 star for Lubbock. If you have been to Fogo de Chao in another city this is very comparable. The only thing I wish I could see improve is their salad bar. My first Brazilian steak house experience was Fogo and their salad bar is much more impressive. It has probably double the options of salad bar choices. Churrasca still has a few different types of salad choices, cheeses, and meats. For Lubbock this is a great place to celebrate and spend a little more cash. Dinner was around $ 50 a person, but I hear you can get a better deal at lunch.

This place is awesome. Excellent service and more food than you can handle. You literally WILLNOT leave here without being stuffed with meat. ;-) I don’t know if they put actual«coke» in their coke, but it sure does seem like it because I literally could not stop drinking it. I have no idea where they get it from, but I want it… forever. The meats of course, are all delicious and perfectly cooked. There was one point where the guy brought out medium well cooked meat and I turned it down because I liked my meat well done. Within minutes, he brought the same meat back out and it was well cooked. I didn’t even ask, but that is the level of service here. It’s not a cheap place to eat, but it’s well worth the money. As a broke college student, I have no problem saving up to bring a date here.

All of the large variety of meats were excellent. The staff were all friendly and went out of their way to make our first wedding anniversary dinner special. Ambiance was nice and contributed to a fantastic meal. Highly recommended for a special occasion dinner!

Delicious cuts of beef, lamb, and chicken, and succulent shrimp! This place has an amazing self-serve salad bar including pickled/fresh veggies, aged meats/cheese, pasta salads and various hot sides. Turn your gren and red coaster over to the red side when you are ready for meat service! The cuts of meat were all perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was able to try a large samping of what was being served that evening, no waiting around or repetition. The other customers were dressed up nice, and the atmosphere was nice. As far as Brazilian Chiurraso goes, this was one of the best. The only snobby thing I could offer as constructive feedback would be to caution the young men bussing tables about unprofessional side chattetr in ear range of the customers. I was overhearing all kinds of TMI from a couple of fellas about their weekend exploits and escapades.

This was our first time at Churrasca. I have been to several Brazilian steak houses and Churrasca is equal to any or better. We took our two young daughters and they enjoyed it as much as us. The staff was friendly and engaging. The salad bar is fresh and a new spin on the old West Texas salad bar. The meat was well prepared and seasoned well. We finished dinner with a desert and it was great as well.

This place blew my mind! The service was exceptional. I travel a lot and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. This has some of the most genuine, friendly staff I’ve experienced. Now, the food… The food was phenomenal! They give you a little marker that is red on one side and green on the other. After starting at the salad bar and having your fill of nice cheeses, meats, and salads of all kinds, flip the marker over so the green side is up. Within 60 seconds, you will have servers come up to your table to offer you different meats: Filet Mignon Top Sirloin Lamb Chops Pork Ribs Etc. After trying all but a couple of them, I can say with confidence that my favorites are the pork ribs and the filet Mignon. They’re delicious! After freshly slicing some meat on to your plate, they will bring you some side dishes to try. Fried bananas, mashed potatoes and fried polenta were the three that I got. And just like everything else at this restaurant, it’s all-you-can-eat! I HIGHLY recommend visiting this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
