LongHorn Steakhouse

The food at this restaurant is too expensive and doesn’t taste well enough to justify another wasted visit here. Go to Texas Roadhouse and save your money.

This is probably the worse place to bring a family. We have been waiting an hour and a half for a table that they said would take 30 minutes. This is unacceptable service for any restaurant on any day of the week. Then they tell us they sat another group at our table before us. Can’t wait for Saltgrass to open.

Our family of four had dinner on a Sunday night. After a short wait, we were seated and served by a really nice server (Sarah I think?). Our food came out and unfortunately one dish was cold (prime rib). We informed our server who immediately took the plate away and brought out another, warmer version. This cut was a bit tough as can happen with prime rib. When our server found out, she immediately apologized and informed her manager who came over to talk to us. He was more than accommodating, practically bending over backwards to make things right. We weren’t going to say anything at all about the second dish but once our observant server found out, events unfolded from there. We were blown away by the excellent customer service by both server and manager. Any flaw in the meat itself was irrelevant after speaking to them. Very impressed! As for the food we did eat, it was perfectly seasoned, cooked well and tasted good.

Yum! The staff was excellent, friendly, and attentive BUT THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD. I attended a Unilocal Elite event at LongHorn and it was so great! I was insanely full off of the appetizers (because I’m a child when it comes to food), but my steak was cooked perfectly and it was so juicy! I hadn’t been to LongHorn in a few years, but I really enjoyed my experience tonight. I enjoyed shrimp, crab cakes, pretzels, corn fritters, lamb, horseradish mashed potatoes, a salad, asparagus, steak, and a mixed berry dessert. All of it was beyond what I had expected! The asparagus was cooked perfectly and was still crispy. You could tell it was really fresh! I also had a coconut pineapple margarita, which was pretty good, but I wished I had gotten the classic margarita instead. Their portions are huge, even with the margarita! The shaker they bring you really has enough for two full drinks. It was really awesome getting to enjoy different dishes and meeting new people at the event!!! I will totally be back soon.

The steaks are amazing! It’s not cheap in price (s) but worth every penny. This review would be five stars except for two things. The cream spinach needed to actually be creamy, and while the bread is fantastic, bread plates are not served. Overall, this place is a great experience. Additionally, our server Wesley F. is great at his job. He made our dinner one to remember!

Was great came here for Valentine’s Day service was great. Didn’t have to wait that long. Steak was beyond delicious. Will for sure be coming back!

Excellent food, and service we had about a 5 minute wait but it was well worth it. The long horn is the BEST steak house ever. We had a great waiter and our food and appetizers arrived promptly. Everything was DELICIOUS

Everything was great. The table was cramped for our family of 4 and it wouldn’t hurt to get some larger ones that can hold more than one appetizer and four plates but the service was above average and the food was fantastic. We have been here a few times before and it has been consistently good.
The Wild West shrimp and the pretzels are excellent.
I actually had the pork chops today and they were out of this world. The Parmesan crusted chicken was fantastic for my wife and the kids loved the huge portions of steamed broccoli they received with their kids meals.
The place was clean and especially the rest rooms.
Good job Longhorn. We will continue to visit

Usually a wait on weekends, but you can call ahead.
Atmosphere is a southwest theme, but not so bad that you feel like you stepped onto the set of Gun Smoke. So you don’t feel underdressed if you forgot your chaps and cowboy hat.
But let’s get to the review. We started our meal with firecracker chicken wraps. I was expecting something spicy, but this was not the case. Maybe it’s just me, and years of hot sauce have eroded away the heat sensors on my tongue, but these would be safe for a toddler. Not too bad flavor tho.
Now for the steak. I settled on the Outlaw Ribeye cooked medium. Steak was cooked perfectly, with a beautiful, pink, warm, juicy center. (Hey now!!) Finished with melted butter and loaded baked potato on the side. Steak had good flavor, and good seasoning and seemed to be fresh off the grill. Didn’t even need the steak sauce, and that’s saying something!
Overall one of the better steakhouses that won’t cost you your first born son.

Service was good, the food was OK, but not outstanding.

One of my favorite places to go in Lubbock! I’ve been here probably 15 times and I’ve never had a bad experience! The Parmesan Crusted chicken is the best thing on the menu. I ordered it the first time I went there and haven’t been able to bring myself to order anything else.
The manager and waiters are very nice too!

Came for a big lunch, we were seated right away which is always good. I loved the look of the place, western done very tastefully. Our server (Leticia) was fabulous, she was so nice and attentive, very thoughtful and hustled, actually I noticed they all were hustling. My food was good, I recommend the kettle chips. Hubby was not impressed with the prime rib,

This restaurant is definitely one of my favorite places to eat at. I’ve been here numerous times and have always had good customer service. The food is also genuine and good tasting. The building itself is clean and better than most.

This is the worst steakhouse I have ever been to. I can’t believe they call themselves a steakhouse. Now I can’t complain about the cut of meat, it was a good quality cut, but the way it was prepared was a joke. It seemed like they just threw it in a pan to cook. The baked potato was small and cold. I think the salad was the best part. Won’t be returning.

Such a pleasant experience! Quality of steaks was very delicious. Service was great and manager even came by with free coupons for next visit. Very professional staff, wait time was decent compared to other places in town. We will go back for sure! We had a great meal!

A steakhouse that doesn’t know how to cook a steak… My «filet» was medium and looked more like a sirloin… After waiting another 30 min for a new one it was more filet looking but pretty much raw… they did take my meal off the ticket so thats good… NOT worth the wait or money though… A 20 $ steak should be cooked to perfection in Texas…

If you have a little extra money to spend Longhorn Steak House is well worth it. We started off with the lobster cheese dip. It was okay (²⁄₅) and I’ll probably pass on it next time. Not enough lobster. The steaks were awesome though (⁵⁄₅). I got the rib eye medium and it was cooked perfectly! The fat was properly rendered and sweet. I got a side of bacon Mac and cheese (³⁄₅). It wasnt cheesy enough but acceptable. Mash potatoes are really good! Creamy and buttery.
The service was awesome! The wait staff is really friendly and eager to serve. The wait can be a little long, almost an hour, on the weekends.

Really terrific experience.
