Great pizza, great atmosphere, great service… what more can I say.

If you’re looking for pizza you have never had before, West Crust will oblige. If you want more toppings than bread and sauce, you’ll find this place to be extremely satisfactory.

I came here with my boyfriend to try their gluten free and vegan pizza, and couldn’t believe how good it tasted! I hadn’t had pizza in a very long time since I also have a yeast allergy, which is in most pizza crusts, gluten free included. Not this one! They had the perfect thin crust and tons of yummy topping options. My only complaint is that I wish they had vegan cheese; we added our own at home. The curry sauce, red sauce, and olive oil options are all great. Tried the poblano, jalapeño, roasted tomato, olive and onion toppings on two different occasions; they will even let you split up the pizza if you disagree on topping choices. Very accommodating service, and delicious food! Conveniently located right next to Alamo Drafthouse.

The pepperoni and mushroom was good, covered with toppings, and the thin crust was excellent. The Bombay curry was great, with a nice amount of spice and flavor, and the toppings covered the pizza. The Hill Country was disappointing, as there were many areas of plain pizza crust, and the tioppings were somewhat dry and bland. It was just OK.

This review is mainly on customer service. I assume her name is Kylie as printed on the receipt. Probably first job ever and knows nothing about customer service. Went in and let her know right away that this is the first visit and she gave a really weird look, not sure what it meant. She proceeded to talk in an unsure tone on the ordering process as the Hubby had asked if we pick our own toppings, add on or whatever. In the end, after completing the order, she said the pizza will take about 30mins. To this the Hubby asked why is that. She points at the receipts and says, «dont you see the receipts?» Do you know what she meant? She explained with an attitude, «there’s a lot of orders!» Seriously? Do I look like I can read your mind? If you already know how long the pizza was going to take, inform your customers first. Do you know who is paying your bills? We, the customers, are! Check yourself in the mirror again, you work in the customer service field, you are there to do your job. If not, GETOUT! I have worked restaurants and I did not write this review looking down on the job. I simply look down on the people who cannot so their job right.

This place has always been on of our favs but this visit was not as great as it has been in the past. Tiny water cups with no lids and that’s a downer for this mom of 3. But most disappointing is it just smells like a sewer in here, and the pizza is not near as good as it use to be!:(

Having to update my review after a recent trip to Lubbock and discovering West Crust has new owners(a change made about 6 months ago?). The prices have gone up. The pizza is not even close to as good as it once was. They don’t cook the pizza in a brick oven anymore and I’m pretty sure they buy the toppings from Walmart down the street. The pizza is not near as flavorful as it once was. They don’t have the same drink selections they used to; now you can get the regular Dr Pepper that’s offered at other restaurants. The employees don’t wear their cool hats and«uniforms»; now they all wear the same west crust t-shirts. It used to be a fun atmosphere and a must on our list. Very disappointed in the changes and we won’t be back.

We have been eagerly waiting for the new North location that finally opened. It was great. The same thin crust with toppings that are very good quality. We ordered by phone and ate the pizza there. It was ready when we arrived and we ate it so fast we obviously loved it. The manager was very friendly and inquisitive. He wanted our suggestions and we suggested adding a salad option. It makes eating pizza a little more healthful as a meal. This location has a rather new industrial vibe that we know is trendy. It is not as much of a beach theme as the first location. We aren’t fans of the style but it should appeal to a younger clientele and it’s not objectionable.

Premium pizza for a premium price. They’ve been bought by the Twisted Root Burger co. so there are no longer specialty sodas but they do have beers and hard root beer on hand. Good ingredients.

Went tonight after a movie and they had a sign on the door that the oven was down but the open sign was on, so we went in. The Owner assured us that the oven was fixed and they would have hot pizza out to us in minutes. He wasn’t kidding and it was so yummy! We ordered two. The Hill Country and the Margarita and he brought us a complimentary Bacon Mac N Cheese on the house for the kids to try and they loved it! Very good pizza:)

Went in Sunday evening after church. We didn’t realize they closed at 7, and it was 6:50. They were kind enough to let us stay! The Tuscan pizza is awesome!

We dined tonight and as I recall it wasn’t as good as the time before. We ordered the mac n cheese pizza and the beast. The Mac and cheese pizza was Kraft Mac n cheese on top of a crust with minimal marinara and mozzarella. Fairly tasteless. The beast was full of meat and flavorful but could have been served hotter. The crust quality has diminished since ownership has changed. The craft colas are gone too and the salad was served in a plastic container where it was previously served in a nice bowl. Maybe a different choice of pizza would be better. Will give the Hill Country a try next time then make a final judgement.

Family all went to West for lunch. We have had it delivered at our sister-in-law’s and it was killer. Today, was a different story. We had five pizzas. None were flavorful! Pepperoni had no flavor?! How is that possible? Margarita pizza was so bland, half of the pizza went uneaten. Onions were strong and made it through the oven without cooking. The papers were sliced too large. Just not our style. Rolaid’s came in handy 60 miles down the road. Wife say’s we aren’t going back.

Insanely delicious pizza! They continue to impress us with every pizza! West Crust works their magic by creating a half vegan/half non-vegan pizza masterpiece for us each time. Love West Crust!

If we had just ordered the veggopotomus or whatever it was, this may be a 5 star review because that pizza was fantastic. Very generous toppings and flavorful. However, we ordered 4, of which none were enough kick to justify the prices: The Margarita had very few tomatoes or basil on top. Couldn’t really taste it, with a thin layer of cheese. - The Hill Country just had a cheesy bacony taste to it, not bad overall but neither did it justify the best pizza in Texas nor the price. - The surf and turf was unique enough, but I wouldn’t recommend it, the shrimp/steak has a cheap taste/texture. So 1 phenomenal pizza out of 4 so-so pizzas with a bill coming to around $ 84.00(with some fountain drinks) leads me to the 3-star review. Worth a try this place but not really my type of pizza with very little sauce, some pizzas have extravagant toppings and some have just a very thin portion of them.

Normally I would give west crust 5 stars. However with new management I am a little disappointed in some of the changes: 1. The switch to main stream sodas in the fountain is disappointing. 2. I preferred the atmosphere without alcohol or TVs. 3. The new oven, though lightening fast, does not cook onions as well and as a result they often come out with a stronger flavor than I have come to love on my west crust. That being said, I still love west crust and will continue to order my hill country with jalapeños(now removing some of the onions as they can be overpowering). I haven’t gotten to try the new bottle sodas mainly because there’s not a flavor I am interested in. But that is a neat addition since the fancy ones were replaced in the fountain machine. Pick up wait time has also seen much improvement with the new oven!

West Crust Pizza Is THEPIZZA. Located about 15 minutes from the Texas Tech Campus, it lures away the cheap and indicent college students, to bring about a special kind of people in the nicer part of town. Those who can appriciate an amazing thin crust, fresh made, pizza pie from the locals will love West Crust. The establishment is rather small and from the first time we went there last winter it was PACKED. It was also during the days that the oven was x50 slower so the wait on the weekend usually rounded to 2 – 3 hours if the place was busy. Nowadays they’ve begun breaking record of fast and deliciously made pizzas giving everyone a run for their money. The pizzas listed are infamous, such as the Hill country, but my friends and I like to make our own creations with their BYOP. We ordered out of their decent sized seletion a Pinapple, Mushroom, Pepperoni, Steak, and Mozzarella pizza on red sauce. This is only one of the many combinations that can be made with their choices. Still, I’m positive all of them are delicious! The pizza is handmade and served with just enough crisp to hold the topings, and enough cheese to make it mouth watering. Each ingredient taste fresh and flavorfull. I hope to become a regular, and somehow keep a stable diet. This is the pizza dream. Keep doing what you’re doing West Crust, keep our little own alive. **Austin’s 2 cents: West Crust Pizza, is the pizza, for you and me! This is the best pizza place in Lubbock in my book. They do thin crust, one size, brick oven baked pizza with quality ingrediants. The resraurant itself had a very nice and friendly ambiance. Maria, George, and I ordered a pepperoni, steak, mushroom, and pineapple pizza. First off the pizza was fresh, the dough was flavorful, crunchy where it should be and chewy also. The pizza sauce and mozerlla cheese was wonderful but combined with the toppings made this pizza a delight. it ended too soon, I wish we had had another.

I was introduced to West Crust several years ago, and they rapidly became one of my favorite things about Lubbock. I moved away for a time, and whenever I visited, I always requested West Crust. They have unique topping combos and some good side dishes. If I was writing this review in 2011, it would be 5 stars. Presently, WC fails to impress me. They are still decent pizza, I suppose, but the quality has gone down.(Due to a recent buyout, perhaps?) As a native St. Louisan, I know you can make a thin-crust pizza that is still robust enough to hold all the toppings. Yet, I just had to eat half the toppings of my Veggie-potamus off the plate with a fork because the slices kept flopping and folding. The companion Beast was greasy. The very best thing about our order the last two times we visited were the salads. Those are delicious. Beast, you should be embarrassed that you got owned by a salad. Meat-eaters everywhere would cry if they knew. West Crust, I know you are capable of better. Please take a look at why your quality is sliding and bring it back.

I had the beast, their version of meat lovers. The toppings were a little salty and slightly charred. There was not too much cheese and some parts of the crust was burnt. This pizza was awesome! Call me weird but I’m sure there are others who like their pizza just like me.

When I read that the Hill Country pizza was voted best in Texas I decided I had to check this place out. I was certainly not disappointed. As the name indicates, this is a west coast style of thin crust pizza, which is to my liking. The flavors are inventive and may strike the novice as a strange amalgamation of foods, trust me when I say that they are carefully and wonderfully selected. The Hill Country pizza is a fine example of culinary innovation: red onions, turkey bacon, pecans, feta and mozzarella cheeses. The bacon was of the thick variety and tender. The pecans seem to be what pulls it all together somehow. This was quite the pizza and I love that there is such a place out in the plains of Texas.
