Most incompetent Walmart I have ever been to. I already hate Walmart for the fact of terrible customer service, but this location is a disaster. Everyone is rude! I have been there many times because it is the most convenient place to get what I need. Every time I go there is never more than 3 – 4 cashiers working, and lines are backed up to about 20 – 25 people. The self check out always have a few terminals not working, and there is rarely someone there to assist any issues. We needed a price check for a shirt and the cashier called for a manager/supervisor to come and do so, we waited for 10 minutes without anyone coming and I eventually gave up because the line was piling up, and it was unfair to the customers behind me because of the incompetence. This place seriously needs some corporate intervention!

I think the public speaks for itself. This Walmart is THE worst. I’m not a fan of walmart honestly, if I could I would go to my local HEB or Market Street, but hey I like many of us here are students. We are too far from our home grown grocery-store and far too broke to attempt to buy 5 $ bread. I’ve tried going to several other Walmarts around town, but this one is far mreo convinient because of its distance from my house. I’ll work harder from now on though to make the further trip. The place is filled with hungry students, along with homeless people, and other suspicious people romming around. It is ALWAYS busy, and always pretty disorganized. Not to say the people in it are pretty rude, don’t get me wrong– I’m not talking about the workers. I’m talking about the customers, this place just seems to draw in an awful crowd. If you’re a parent, please be mindful and take your students elsewhere– they will thank you. And if you’re a student, like me, I’m sorry. Maybe form a carpool? Also, to enjoy the October holidays, consider comming here instead of Nightmare on 19th street– this is far more realistic, cheap, and life-threatening.

This store is always dirty, and poorly stocked. Nobody knows where anything is. Some employees are helpful, but 4 out of 5 times they will stop checking out and start having a conversation with other employees. I thought it would be nice because it’s so close to campus. I was gravely mistaken.

Welcome to the worst Wal-Mart in town. Where crack-addicts, bums, rapist, prostitutes, and animal fuckers congregate to buy spoiled produce because… scum have to eat too. A place where a lot college kids are forced to come because it’s the closest Walmart to campus and they can’t afford to spend more money for the same product at places like market street and whole foods. A place where lame rappers try to push their«mixtapes» on you. A place where you get asked for change by the scariest looking people when putting groceries in your trunk. A place where people are begging you to join in on local scams and security is always present. A place where prostitution rings get busted and you have to constantly have to look over your shoulders after 9pm. All of this because I wanted to buy top ramen. Gave it one star simply because I didn’t have a choice.

If you are going to go to a Walmart in Lubbock, go to the one on 82nd. This one here is very run down, always crowded, and super dirty. A lot of sketchy people come here at night too, as I’ve experienced.

Congratulations Wal-Mart in Lubbock for making my top 5 list of worst Wal-Mart stores ever. You primarily won because your store was practically empty and very poorly stocked despite the 900 employees stocking invisible product. Or did you win because your parking lot is strewn with trash and carts?(Shame on you Lubbock residents for littering!) Could it be be that I waited in line for 45 minutes at 11:00PM despite the aforementioned 900 employees doing nothing? Could it be that your restrooms made me think of a port-a-potty? No toilet paper and it stunk like poo? Maybe it was the drunk transient woman waking us up by knocking on our cab at 3:40AM asking us for change or jewelry. That was pleasant. Who knew Wal-Mart provided free alarm service? I wish I could say that there was ONE redeeming quality that would have me come back but THIS, folks, is why I shop at Target when I can. Never again.

It’s sad that the closest Walmart to Tech is also the sketchiest. I’ve been approached by countless homeless people in the parking lot during the day and at night begging for money etc. Also avoid coming to this Walmart from like 11pm on up because they drop down to about 2 registers and its impossible to get in and out quickly because there is about 10 people in each line.

Avoid this place at night. All the ghetto people come out and fill up their shopping carts at this time. During the daytime, this place is not so bad. It is fairly clean and neat for the most part. The cute girl in home department helps push this place to three stars.

This Wal Mart is not the best one ever for sure… but the Wal-Martians are as good as it gets.

It’s walmart– what do you say about a once great place that carried American made items to what they carry now? I only use them for gas and people watching at midnight when the rest of us freaks come out :-)
