I had been on the road for a few days before stumbling upon The Café At De Light. It was a cold, grey, rainy morning and I pulled into a parking lot to look for a breakfast place on my phone. I read all the positive reviews written about TCAD and decided it was the place I’d been searching for. Turns out I was parked right in front of it. From the minute I walked in I was treated like family. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food exceptional. My server kept filling my mug with hot, strong coffee as I looked for a place to stay for the night. I was welcomed to stay as long as needed. Thank you and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Café at Delight is a cute place to stop in for breakfast. The value is great, you get a lot of food for a low price. The service can be slow at times, but the employees are friendly. Would recommend!

Okay, so the décor is not sophisticated and perhaps the cleaning service could be upgraded but boy, oh boy is the food delicious. We had the raspberry pancakes, bacon eggs and Vermont cheddar cheese on croissants, banana nut pancakes with grade B(my favorite) Vermont maple syrup and other breakfast items which we hoovered faster than we should have — it was so so good. The coffee is always fresh and the price is far away from what they charge in NY.

Never had a decent coffee like this before and the blueberry pancake is just sooooo RICH!

Let’s call it what it is, inexpensive breakfast, but it tastes good. If you want something fancy, go somewhere else, although in Ludlow I can’t tell you where that would be. Here you are going to get the breakfast basics you would expect at a diner. But scrambled eggs and homefries will run you something like $ 3.50. Add coffee and you are at $ 5. The breakfast sandwiches are good and my kids like the pancakes a lot. The spicy homefries are probably the best thing on the menu and the portion is large. Well worth the $ 2.50. You can feed a family of 5 for less that $ 30 which is great. The service isn’t great, they tend to be slow as it appears 1 owner cooks while the other waits tables and rings out customers. The other waitstaff takes orders and runs food, but doesn’t work the register so there can be a line waiting to pay whiles staff stands around. Also, it is CASHONLY so be prepared, although with the price you don’t need to bring a lot.

I wish I could give less than 1 star… this was disgusting. Unilocal, the 4 stars here is crazy… the omelet was so burnt the cheese inside was burnt… I forced myself to eat half only because I was hungry but I wish I didn’t…the only ok thing here was the coffee and it was ok at best

Awesome breakfast for me and my family. My daughter loved the eggs, and the raspberry pancakes were outstanding. Service was friendly, portions generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I might give 4 ½ only because of the wait(it was a Sunday morning) and that they only take cash. It was well worth both, but that’s the only mark I’d give against them.

This is definitely a great example of, «you can’t judge a book by its cover». This was a delightful experience. You must try the freshly baked raisin bread… Delicious.
