Consistently great food and great service! Love this restaurant. We are lucky enough to get to this restaurant a few times a year and love it every time. We will often get the rack of lamb and chicken teriyaki and both dishes never disappoint. The salad bar is also something we always look forward to.

This was a fun experience. The food portions were enormous. The retro feeling salad bar was reminiscent of my childhood. That was a good thing!!! The wait staff was very pleasant. We all enjoyed our entrees. Had a nice time would definitely go back again.

Salad bar and roles were the only good part of the meal. DONOT. Order the house favorite teriyaki chicken– cheap knock off of some Chinese restaurant version. To pricey for the quality of food.

Great Salad Bar, Polite Servers, OK Atmosphere, VERYLIMITEDVEGETARIANOPTIONS! I visited Dj’s with my husband who is local from Ludlow and this is one of his favorite spot. We walked in and were told to wait for 40 mins. After 40 mins, we were seated in the booth and served with free bread and butter. The waitress was polite and direct our attention towards the specials on the board. While placing the order, I couldn’t help but notice that I can only have the salad after ordering the entrée. I ordered the cheese shells and it came out okay. there wasn’t anything spectacular about the dish and it was really pricey for what it was. I don’t think I am going to Djs again.

My girlfriends and I took a trip to Vermont this past July and had the pleasure of eating at DJ’s. This review is a few months coming but it was certainly worth writing! We had such a wonderful evening. I ate a salmon special, and they each had different kinds of steaks. We finished the evening with the most amazing peanut butter/ice cream/brownie dessert, which we were later told was a gift from the owner who had long left at that point. He heard that we were from New York City and said that he had always loved the place. We didn’t get a chance to thank him(He also MADE! the dessert that night) so we are taking this opportunity to say thank you to the warm and friendly staff for the delicious food, the hospitable service and to the owner for the unforgettable dessert! When we revisit New England, we will be sure to return!

Scallops au gratin were great but had a bit too much cheese(if that’s even possible). Crab meat bread crumb added additional delight. Atmosphere was great along with the salad bar!

Kind of a dive, but the food is quite good. Seven of us went here and racked up a $ 300 tab, but most of us were drinking and everyone ordered a meal. The St. Louis ribs special($ 22) didn’t fall right off the bone, but didn’t require much tugging either. The duck special($ 27) was a little dry, but still quite crispy on the skin, and they didn’t skimp on the sauce, which thankfully came on the side. Everyone else seemed to be happy with their meals, but I LOVED the hand cut fries. Oddly, I also didn’t mind going to the salad bar, a concept I typically cannot stand. We ordered a few sidecars for cocktails, which they had no idea how to make. We explained the ratios to our server and they came out pretty good. Overall a good little spot in Ludlow if you don’t feel like traveling too far outside of town.

Our group of 11(mainly children) wanted to celebrate our last night at Okemo. We decided on DJ’s. I cannot review the food because we did not get a chance to order. The children wanted a burger which we were told could not happen because it was on the«bar menu». After a curt conversation with the hostess /owner it was clear they were not going to bend on this«policy». The joke here is it clearly states on the menu that DJ’s will do «everything it can to make your kids happy». It looks like it’s almost anything. What’s the big deal in getting a burger served in the dining room? The good news is we had a great meal at Mr. Darcy’s. Our group highly recommends that restaurant and the Burgers and Parmesan truffle fries. All happily eaten in their dining room.

Absolutely fantastic! My family and I have been coming here for years. The restaurant is a just as important a visit as is the skiing. The quality of the food and the portion size is without comparison. I only wish they’d move down to Philadelphia with us!

My family has been coming to DJ’s since the 70’s. It’s normally our go to place. Not anymore. Tonight was one of our worst experiences yet. The staff of old lady’s running the place are nice but don’t seem to care anymore. The décor has not changed since the 70’s and neither has the menu that much. Everything is out dated. The serves didn’t really care that were there and hardly checked on us. The food is too greasy, about 75% of the menu is deep fried and you can tell the kitchen doesn’t change the oil often because I can still taste the firer oil. The portions are big, you get your money’s worth, but the food quality is sub par. Frozen not fresh and over cooked. For some reason a lot of the popular menu items have been removed. The bar menu is better than the dinner menu. The water is served in a small glass and the servers never come around to refill it. I question the cleanliness of the utensils and the glasses. I can tell you we will not be going back for a long time.

Dining in Ludlow is limited. We took a chance on DJ’s with its mixed reviews. We’re glad we did. We went on a Friday night on Columbus Day weekend. Not thinking we might need a reservation we went in. The hostess said we would have to wait about 45 minutes to be seated. We were seated in about 20 minutes. It was definitely worth it. The dinner started out with tasty hot rolls, and the salad bar. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, my wife had the scallop au gratin. Both dinners were very good and the portions large. The only problem was when our waitress delivered our dinners to the table next to ours. I know that one can never get the true reading of a restaurant from one visit, so we are looking forward to our next visit.

Simply the best in Ludlow. Not great for vegetarians or those on a diet, though they will be able to eat here, they will have few options.

Our friend took us here whole we stayed at their house in Ludlow. The steaks were very tasty and the Italian dishes were very good. The prices we’re very reasonable too considering the big portions and packed salad bar. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to DJ’s for eons, since I used to live a couple towns away. I make it up every few years from Boston and still thoroughly enjoy the baked stuffed shrimp. Their menu has been the same forever which gets boring, altho there’s always a blackboard board of specials. But since this is one of the few places where you can get those shrimp and I know I love how they’re done, I’m happy to order them every time. Portions are large, salad bar is adequate(not the most exciting options) and wine is well priced. Service is mostly good. It’s almost always a zoo early weekend evenings but they take reservations. It’s a solid standby.

Food was good, portions were large and the beer was cold. I had the meatloaf and was very happy with it. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Salad bar was a nice addition to your meal.

While staying at Okemo Resort, a local recommended this place as an inexpensive, casual dining hot spot for the locals with great food. She was right about 3 of those points, as it was a casual place, the food was good, and the place was hopping with locals. I came for dinner on a Thursday night and you would have thought it was a Saturday night. A lot of older couples and middle aged women seemed to be on a night out on the town when I ate there. This place wasn’t really that inexpensive, though, as the cheapest entrée seemed to start at $ 15. For dinner I ordered the chicken cordon bleu with a rice pilaf, and it came with unlimited salad from the salad bar and rolls. The chicken was tasty, although seemed more like an nontraditional deconstructed chicken cordon bleu. My favorite part of the meal were the delicious fresh baked rolls, but the salad bar was only okay. It was filled with ice berg lettuce as the main green and there were plenty of options of toppings to add. However, many of them seemed to be less than fresh, or possibly right out of a can. Overall, DJs was a good eat and I wouldn’t mind checking them out again if I’m ever in the area. The only thing I thought was worth mentioning is that they don’t seem to be used to outsiders. When I say this, I don’t really mean tourist, since they almost certainly get plenty of those during the peak ski season. However, as a Hispanic woman with really curly brown hair and a darker complexion, I felt like I stood out… a lot. I have never felt this way before when eating out, and I was treated well while dining, but the hostess kept staring at me like I was some rare creature. Again, I still felt I received good service, but it’s something to be aware of.
