This is our favorite place for dinner in the Okemo area. Best fries around, great burgers, amazing seafood chowder, etc. There’s a $ 5 burger deal one night a week — best deal around. Good local beer selection and nice atmosphere.

Love this place! When I visit my brother in Vegas, we are always going to burger places. Let me tell you, this place is comparable to some of the best burgers I have had there. The Darcy is my favorite, but I have tried many of their other burgers and haven’t been disappointed yet. And the burger is always cooked perfectly to my requested medium rare. All this and I haven’t even mentioned the truffle Parmesan fries — perfection! Plus they keep us locals in mind with their Darcy’s card and off season specials.

I picked this place at random a few weeks ago after snowboarding at Okemo with my wife. Let me tell you this place has the best damn burgers we have ever eaten and the truffle fries are also out of this world. Do yourself a favor, take my advice and dine here! Hats off the the chef/cooks. Give these people a raise!

A group of us went here for dinner around 6:30 on a Saturday. It was very crowded and we waited about 30 mins. The bar area is very chaotic because they constantly have food runners and people waiting for tables shuffling around the area. I ordered the nachos appetizer as a meal and the wedge salad for an appetizer. The nachos are huge(only finished half) and can be shared between 4 – 5 people. Nachos were ok — the salsa and guac tasted mass produced. The service was iffy. After taking our order we never saw our waitress again. Also, she recommended the haddock which my friend detested. The mac and cheese was good. The truffle fries were unremarkable. All in all, an OK meal for me but a bad meal for others in my group. I would not come back here if I were in the area again.

Second time eating here after skiing. The 4 of us split 6 Korean BBQ and 6 Buffalo Style Chicken wings as an app. Both kinds were fresh, hot and delicious. I had the Farmhouse Burger cooked to perfect medium, just how I ordered it. Totally enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Extremely courteous wait staff and our meals were promptly delivered. Great atmosphere and will definitely make this a routine stop when we’re in the Ludlow area.

Great spot in such a quaint ski town! Visited for the first time after a great day enjoying the snow. Situated in a classic New England colonial style brick home, updated to a laid back, country bar/restaurant. Good selection of beers and cocktails. that always seem to go down quicker after a long day skiing. Burgers were on point. but a little pricy. Truffle fries were good, nice that they come with the burger without a surcharge. Wings needed another minute in the oil, one was cold in the center(not raw, precooked for service). I’ll ask for extra crisp next time.

If we had only had the beer, dayeinu. Leaving aside that fantastic switchback ale, the burgers were just the thing to warm up our stomachs and souls after a long, frigid winter’s day. Truffle fries were perfectly crispy. Sweet potato fries were hardy with a good amount of ‘tato. Burgers were the perfect pink. Waitress seemed a little harried and I could have done without the big TVs.

Mr. Darcy’s is an awesome restaurant! My friend and I both got the Farmhouse Burger which was one of the most delicious burgers I have even eaten. I am usually not a fan of Caramelized onions but that made the burger 10 times better! We were going to order the truffle fries but then we’re happy to find out that they already come with it! It was $ 14.00 for the meal(which usually I would consider that on the expensive for a burger and fries) but it was worth every penny!

I have visited Darcy’s twice this year while visiting my in-laws in VT. Both times, I’ve had a fantastic experience. The wine list is diverse and affordable. The same applies to the fantastic beer list. The service is friendly and accommodating. My measuring stick is simplicity done well. And Mr. Darcy’s delivers on that measure. The burgers are amazing and the truffle fries are crunchy, light and perfectly seasoned with salt. The salads are fresh and beautifully composed. The wait can be long, particularly during ski season. But I think they deliver quality and service so consistently that it would behove you to stick out the wait at the bar with a Fiddlehead beer. What’s the rush?

My friends and I came here New Year’s Day for dinner due to its curb appeal. We were pleasantly surprised by our meal! To start we ordered the fried pickles. I’m usually on the fence about fried pickles but these were amazing. Sliced into very thin rounds, they had a nice crisp and with the mayo based dipping sauce, they were addicting. For my meal, I made my own burger, which automatically comes with gooey Vermont cheddar and not to miss truffle parm fries. The fries are thin, crispy and exploding with flavor. I actually finished these in lieu of my burger. That said, my burger came out medium as asked, was juicy and my cheddar and chipotle aoli sauce combo were winners. Thumbs up, Mr. Darcy’s

Food was good, the chicken in the salad was a bit rubbery. It reminds me of an Applebee’s or Friday’s but with a bit better food.

This restaurant would have been a 5. But when I showed the waitress the $ 19.95 short rib special on their website for today Saturday Jan 2, 2016. , she said they could not honor it as they don’t manage their website, only their FB page they manage. For $ 6 they would not credit us or do anything. I was not going to fight but told them I was disappointed and shocked they would not do anything for us. Food was great but definitely lacking customer service.

We came here for some burgers and left feeling satisfied. The prices were more on the expensive side(as anything you’d add on was also a 1 $), but they were tasty and delicious anyways. The fries were also really good. The service was also commendable. We came here in the off-season and were seated right away, but there was a good amount of people in the restaurant so I can imagine during ski season it’d be more crowded.

Great place to take the family for dinner! We went early on a Saturday night in the summer. The service was great. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious. My son enjoyed the short ribs and my husband really enjoyed his burger. There were many families there at the same time and the waitress and host managed then all wonderfully.

Far and away the best meal I have had in almost 10 years of coming to the area. We came in at almost 8pm on a Tuesday night, in the off-season with 9 people including 5 kids. We were a wait staff nightmare waiting to happen. We had to wait 15 minutes and they were full and already had 3 tables of 8 – 9 people seated, but 1 was finishing up. They kept apologizing saying they needed to wait for 1 table to leave to have enough room and had warned us when we got there. Once we say our waitress was EXCELLENT!!! She wasn’t bothered by the tired, hungry kids who we had kept from dinner for too long. Diane had a smile on her face the entire time and was more then helpful and accommodating. I had the Diablo burger which was cook to a nice medium-rare and very spicy. The jalapeño relish was not cut with pickles or anything so it had a lot of kick to it. The Parmesan truffle fries were good, but almost too much cheese on them. My wife had the BBQ chicken sandwich which was cooked well and she liked. Our friends had the fish tacos which they loved. They came in a crispy, fried shell rather than the typical soft, but they loved them. Others at the table had different burgers and everyone was more than happy. They rotate the Vermont beers on tap and had a nice selection. We had Fiddlehead IPA which is hard to find, but they had others like Magic Hat Single Chair Ale and Switchback. It is a bit pricey compared to the rest of town, but the food and the service made it well worth it and we will definitely be going back.

This was where we had our rehearsal dinner, Friday, May 23, 2014 at 7:30pm. Love Mr. Darcy’s! We had eaten at Mr. Darcy’s each summer for a few years prior and really loved the food and service, especially the truffle fries! And we both are huge fans of cider and were happy they have that too. The owner is very nice, and his mom is too. While meeting with wedding vendors in the months prior to the wedding we came up to Vermont during MLK weekend 2014 and of course had dinner here, then again in early April 2014. Our Moms enjoyed the Darcy Burger and salad special and cocktails they had, including one with maple syrup. For our rehearsal dinner there was a chicken, fish, or steak option with sides served and drinks. Then there were assorted deserts ice cream, crème brûlée, and a third option I think a small pie. We were all upstairs in the top room and then some of the other friends and family who wanted to be nearby dined in the levels below. My husband and I stayed super late after most others had left because we ran into our good college friends at the bar and my friends who had flown in from Europe there as well! It was really a fun and glorious atmosphere. Thanks so so so much!

Just off the slopes and stroll into this gem of a place! I decided to get a manly meal and chose the Darcy(burger). The meal was accompanied with tasty crunchy oil fries! The burger was full of flavor and was a large portion resulting in me being completely full afterwords. The atmosphere is a tame classy warm one. The service was remarkably fast and polite containing the knowledge of all the selections on the menu. Overall I would recommend This establishment to anyone seeking a high quality moderately priced restaurant.

My husband and I were in VT for the weekend just to get away and passed Mr. Darcy’s on the way to our destination. We noted several places that were open along our route and chose to come back here our first night for dinner. We were greeted with a smile and felt really welcomed. After we were seated we were a bit surprised that we sat for over 10 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server then another 5 to 10 minutes before she even took our drink order. Once the drink order was in it was smooth sailing. For an appetizer we ordered the Korean BBQ chicken wings and they didn’t disappoint. They were really crispy and had wonderful flavor and was cooked to perfection. A+ on the wings. My husband had the pan seared salmon and an order of truffle fries. He love it all! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavors were great. His favorite was the truffle fries. We never had them before and found then simply delicious. I ordered the fog horn leg horn salad and it was really good. I love trying new things and was a bit skeptical about the balsamic dressing meshing with the cranberries and guacamole but it worked and I enjoyed every last bite. My only complaint would be that we found out after the fact they had dinner specials only because we overheard out server tell other diners about them. We were a bit disappointed but the food was great non the less. We moved to the bar and had an equally enjoyable experience. Next time were are in the area Mr. Darcy’s will be on our list to visit again.

Pretty nice spot with two different areas and an upstairs. Very cozy and elegant with decent prices. I had a mushroom burger with melted VT cheese and a sweet chili sauce– it blended really well surprisingly. The Parmesan truffle fries is what they’re known for and rightfully so. Very tasty! I’ve had similar attempts at some 5-star NY steakhouses and these were comparable if not better. The salmon was also nice but the accompanying wild rice was not that great… It came out cold as well. Other Weak points took it down to 3 stars: Slow service– but they were friendly! The Beet salad was also OKAY… Gluten free Pasta primavera was not good. The sauce had no flavor– no salt, no acidity, no pepper. I would recommend it for meat eaters since their burgers seemed very popular.
