It’s a Subway, so there’s not much to review food-wise, it’s the same bland, unimaginative menu as every other Subway. What sets this location apart is the extraordinary magnitude of the staff’s ineptitude and unwillingness to provide even basic customer service. I ordered a 12″ turkey sub on whole wheat(which tasted like it was baked 4 months ago). I then asked for the sandwich to be toasted, this is where things went awry. I was told by the«sandwich artist»(read: high school kid) that the toaster had just been turned off. I have no food service experience, but I do have life experience, which has taught me that things which have been turned off can, more often than not, be turned back on, so I asked. Apparently the toasters at Subway operate much the same way bank safes operate — between preset hours. Unfortunately, in this instance, the toaster hours are not aligned with the store’s operating hours. After asking if they could turn the«just turned off» toaster back on, I was told that they stop toasting subs 30min prior to close(it was 8:40), and that even if they wanted to, it would take 20min to warm up. I found that to be fascinating. And a lie. But, hey, that’s the level of customer service you can expect from lazy and poorly trained customer service personnel. Do yourself a favour, go across the street to the Chinese take-out, they’re open later, have terrific food, and are, wait for it, friendly and helpful!
