Opening day, 5 ice cream windows were open, there was a long line but we only waited about 10 minutes total and the staff was very friendly. Thanks Randall’s creamery!

Good place not much to say they serve food which is good enough for me. The people seem nice but there is not much of a conversation except«hello»

4 stars for the plant shop and market, and 3 stars for the sandwich shop. The market features a lot of local items including tasty fresh house made cider donuts. The sandwich shop in the back will do because there’s nothing else around. Good value sandwiches.

Grew up going here all the time, place is just as good as its always been. Fresh fruit and veggies perfect place to take the family esp around the holidays! My favorite part is the deli section you must try one of the many sandwiches and pasta etc sides they offer. Truley a great experience every time.

Went here with my sister and our nephew yesterday for the corn maze and had a fun time. The place is huge and had a wide variety of plants, flowers, autumn/Halloween décor, pumpkins/gourds, etc. There were cute and entertaining games and activities for children, and all the employees seemed nice. The prices on the plants, flowers, and pumpkins seemed reasonable; however, the $ 10/adult, $ 6.50/child pricing for the corn maze seemed a bit steep(although that was my first time ever at a corn maze, so maybe that’s normal). A word of warning to parents: The maze itself was intricate and, although it had signs with numbered questions sporadically along the way so you could get an idea of if you’re going in the right direction, there are no hints, shortcuts, or employees around to offer guidance(at least none we encountered). Thankfully our 5 year old companion was a trooper through the roughly half hour trek; but I could see many youngsters getting bored and/or frustrated navigating paths through the corn that all look the same… and if they have a meltdown/tantrum/etc., it’s not as if you can just leave. You still have to navigate your way out, then wait for the tractor to bring you back to the store.

Stopped at Elsie’s creamery in August to get some ice cream. It was delicious. It is clearly also a popular place because it was packed. The only negative is that the service was on the slow side, but the ice cream was worth it.

As a Ludlow home-grown, Randall’s has always been a staple in the house. And especially for me, constantly on the go and working silly hours at work, the pre-made meals and sandwiches are exactly what I want. The produce is always fresh, plentiful and well priced. Nothing better than wooden box full of local strawberries for a couple bucks to go with lunch. I’m a frequent flyer at the deli counter. Sandwiches are made with PHATSTACKS of boars head meat, fresh bread and ripe veggies. The pre-made meals are something out of a Top Chef kitchen and there’s always something new to try. As much as I love Randall’s, the price of the prepared foods is quite high. $ 7 for a piece of eggplant lasagna? Call me cheap, but that seems high for the amount of food you get. The prices knock this rating down to three stars. But the ice cream shop attached to Randall’s brings it to 4. I’m getting giddy just thinking about that creamery.

Country life doesn’t get any better than Randall’s! I live in New Salem, MA, and, even though it’s almost an hour’s drive, since I go to NY frequently and Randall’s is on the way to the highway, it’s my go-to stop every single time I make the drive. There really isn’t *anything* you cannot get at Randall’s in the way of quality creature comforts — gourmet and homemade foods of all sorts, home-made baked goods, produce, fresh ice cream, and a greenhouse that will make you feel as though it’s «done on Earth as it is in heaven.» Eden’s finest. Also, Randall’s is quite gluten-free friendly, which is a huge plus, since so many establishments underserve the celiac population or those with sensitivities to wheat and gluten. Thank you Randall’s for being a farmstand and greenhouse nonpareil!

Like a few lucky«stands» in the Pioneer Valley Region, Randall’s has grown into a mini-supermarket with house-made deli items, an ice cream stand, and greenhouse. They stock a select group of wines, and they even make their own cider donuts. Stands like this, which feature select/local items are typically higher in price than roadside stands, but then, they are supporting more infrastructure while also providing top quality. My favorite part of the establishment remains their greenhouse, where I invariably buy some plants each spring, whether I’ve spent months and much money investing in seeds and equipment to grow my own garden plants or not. Last year, I was away, and so I when I was back in the area in May, I bought about $ 50 worth of plants for my father for the garden. I don’t think he watered anything even once, but he still had so many tomatoes and squash and other things that he was giving them away. The previous year, I grew maybe 15 varieties of tomatoes from seed, but the best-performing and strongest plants in the garden were the three that I bought from Randall’s Farm. I’m not sure that they grow theirs organically, though. I haven’t seen any signs to that effect, and when that is true, companies usually advertise it. This is a friendly place with a commitment to quality. From my own informal testing at home, I really believe in their ability to shine.

I live in Chicopee and most supermarkets around here seem to have poor produce and are crowded with people that don’t seem to know where they are. So my wife and I like to come here to get produce and poultry. After the first time buying produce here I told myself I’m never buying it anywhere else. The staff are always friendly.

Wow! This is a wonderful easy stop off the highway — exit Pike W, take a right, and it’s right up the road. It’s absolutely chock-full of delicious food, a wonderfully stocked deli with friendly staff, and they give away a frisbee and a cookie with the kids meal. You cannot go wrong. Pick up a bag of cider donuts to bring to your friends you are on the road to visit, and you will achieve Best Guest Ever status!

Very nice stand with local goods and produce, it is on the expensive side and there are other local stands which are more reasonably priced. Randall’s does have a larger selection of fresh local and imported produce, thus it is always worth a stop.

I have always loved Elsie’s Creamery, but was very pleasantly surprised by how amazing their deli was! Their tortellini salad was really great! Some of the staff were less than enthusiastic. Which is why I only gave them a 4 out of 5. Also the prices on the produce is a bit pricier than I am comfortable with. Upside they do sell nice bottles of wine, and beer, which is good for one stop if you are going for a picnic, or outing…

Best place for sandwiches, salads and dinners in the area, hands down! I work in Ludlow and there just isn’t much available by way of non-chain, relatively healthy lunch options available. So I like Randall’s for many reasons: 1) Excellent, local produce. Seasonal stuff is available at decent prices and almost everything is in tip-top condition(basically Whole Foods quality for Big Y prices), so you can get that part of your grocery shopping done on your lunch break. 2) The lunch counter. The sandwiches, soups and salads are all made in house and are delicious. I very rarely see any need to go off the main menu, but you can if you want. In the last year or so, they’ve added paninis, which is great. A word of caution: the paninis can take a while to heat, which can make it difficult to get in and out(if that’s your thing). 3) Baked goods. The cakes/pies in the deli case(I believe) are not made in house(they’re sort of the standard grocery store quality), but the cookies, breads, muffins, brownies in the bakery section are made in house and are outstanding. And I do most of my own baking, but I still think Randall’s are quality. My favorite thing is the Black Bottom Cupcakes. The cake is amazingly moist and decadent. Also, when you enter, you will smell the apple cider donuts they make in house that are planted all over the store. They are delicious, but dangerous because they only sell them in packages of 5 or 6! 4) The«gourmet» section — perfect if you are going to someone’s house for dinner and want to bring a little something or putting together a little gift basket — lots of local and fancy treats and a wide variety as well — there’s a whole gluten-free section, etc. And since it’s MA, there’s a nice little wine selection too(I live in CT where such things are Not Allowed). 5) Great service. I’ve come here so many times and everyone has always been friendly, nice and helpful. Some tips: 1) The daily panini, soup and dinner specials are available on the Randall’s website about a week in advance. I appreciate that the site is always kept updated. They list one panini special per day on the website menu, but usually there’s two in the case and if you liked the prior day’s soup or dinner specials, you’re in luck. They sell the leftovers in the cold case near the deli — so there’s more selection than what you see on the specials list. 2) If you do a lot of shopping here, sign up for their email list. They send out $ 10 off $ 50 or more coupons about once a month. 3) There are limits on the daily panini, soup and dinner specials, although in my experience, even if you come past the normal lunch hour, there’s still plenty of soup available, but the panini selection may be dwindling or non-existent. 4) I think technically, you can build your own panini, although they don’t really advertise this option.

Mostly stop in for lunch or to buy produce. The deli sandwiches are good and we enjoy eating them in the greenhouse. It does get pricey when you include drinks and chips. Produce is always fresh. Parking can be a real pain in the ass though. Always enough cashiers who are generally friendly. There are a lot of local baked goods, dairy, and local produce available. They have beer, wine, and lottery too. I never buy plants or lawn ornaments there because they are too overpriced.

Don’t go close to closing– they make you feel rushed! I stepped into the Garden area and left my cart by the door(with things that I picked up over a 20 min. period) — I walked out after looking around the garden area for approximately 5 minutes, and voila! My cart was gone. An incredibly rude woman looked at me and asked, «was that cart yours?» «Well, I didnt know– I put it back because people leave them all the time» She was not even apologetic. As I was walking away from her– she kept talking– RUDELY– no apology– and I walked out the door. I guarantee I had at least $ 60 worth in that cart– their loss It’s sad, because I grew up LOVING this place– when it was a tiny little stand. I annot tell you how much money and tme I have spent in this place. Because of that experience– I will never go back.

Two words… PUMPKINICE-CREAM. It is delicious, and available at Elsie’s Creamery, located on their premises. The creamery is cash only.

Everything, and I mean everything, is ridiculously overpriced. Five year old white wines at double retail price. Stop & Shop and Big Y Supermarkets are far better. Staff are obnoxious. I do plan on revisiting these tagnuts again, after eating copious amounts of raw garlic. Then, standing in close proximity, I plan on engaging the staff in a lengthy discussion of Anslem’s tricky ontology. After that, and only if there is enough time, I’ll ask for directions to Boston while intending to return home to Springfield. The owner is a queen tagnut. Randell’s Farm: two big fat thumbs down!!! I would give Randell’s(so-called) Farm zero stars if that was possible, and I’ll give you Internet mugs a knuckle sandwich for disagreeing with me!
