Self service cafeteria style. Staff is very nice and helpful but the food is very mediocre.

The best cafeteria food at okemo, IMO, and the best for lunch eve including a sit-down meal at Epic at Solitude, I think. They have great salads and sammiches, like a steak and bleu cheese salad, ham and cheese sandwich, Vermont turkey sandwich, and chicken Caesar wrap, and they’ll put the sandwiches into wraps or sliced bread or on a pretzel bun. They also have a hot entrée, soups and chili, and of course the delicious seasoned fries I grew to love at the base lodge cafeteria and in Sitting Bull. Really nice to have good quality options so we can avoid the chicken tenders, chili, and tuna salad at Sitting Bull, and the mass-produced burgers at the other cafeterias. Has a cooler of drinks and fountains. Oh, and pizza, but I can’t imagine why I’d get that here. Lots of seating, although it certainly gets packed at lunch. There’s a fireplace on one side that isn’t always going. I think the dining area could be a bit warmer. They have an elevator to the basement, where the bathrooms are, and one of those big green glove-heating racks. And I feel like it’s less of a zoo than lots of other lodges. And of course nice skiing at Jackson Gore.
