This place is no longer petes place. The restaurant the cajun oaks from huntington moved into this building but has yet to change the sign(if they plan on doing so) that being said.. .. .. . My sons and I ate at this resteraunt once. We were one of 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant but still waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, fries, and cajun rice(the waitress recomended the rice) my sons ordered the chicken strip basket(came with fries) and the fried shrimp basket(came with fries). My chicken was good, as was my sons’ chicken and shrimp but our fries where un-eatable. They where limp and grey, soaked in grease.(As if they where placed into cold grease to cook instead of hot grease) When we were leaving the waitress asked how we liked our meal and I told her, it took too long to get our food and the fries where soggy and gross to wich I recieved a blank stare, was handed my receipt, and she walked away. I did give this same review on the restaurants facebook page a year ago with 3 out of 5 stars and after posting it the restaurant owner called me names and yelled at me. After a while she opaligized and offered to comp me a meal to wich I said thank you but no. A year later I got an email from facebook saying she reported my review and had it removed. I made the choice not to re write my review to the Facebook page but as I, personally, read reviews on here to help me decide where to eat I did want to post it here to let others know about my experience.(Also that I am not the only one this has happened to, if you check the facebook page you will see that)

After waiting an hour and twenty minutes, we eventually got our meal. Drink refills were never offered, and the food came out one plate at a time, 5 minutes apart. The $ 16.99, 8 oz rib-eye, that should have been medium rare, came out looking like something waffle house would serve, and was well done. This was NOT worth, in the least, the $ 70 that we had to pay for it. Long John Silvers would have been much better, and cheaper.

Just stopped in for one more visit and I decided to write a review of this establishment. I must say that I have been hooked on this place for sometime now, until recent. Most of the items on the menu appeared freshly made, but some stand out more than others. I had been addicted to the chopped steak with gravy and mashed potatoes, it seems on the last visit however the potatoes were instant. Alas my three star downgrade. The all you can eat fish and chips on Sunday is most likely the one item left worth buying. One good item left in particular is the blooming onion, it’s deep fried and you won’t put it down. The service is on par and drinks rarely remain empty for long periods of time.
