We had an early Valentine’s dinner at my favorite place to eat seafood; Red Lobster. The place was very busy with many large tables of people that obviously had the same idea as us about celebrating early. It was also during Lobster Fest. My husband and grandson got their plates in a timely manner but my plate for some reason had got missed. The manager took special care to get my meal out as quickly as possible and took my meal off the ticket as well. The food was great and even though there was a delay in one order I felt well taken care of. We will continue to patronize Red Lobster.

Red Lobster is basically fast food served in a regular restaurant. They typically overcook the seafood, which is a good way to turn perfect scallops into inedible, rubbery pucks.

My husband and I have eaten here many times over the past 10 years and we have never had a problem with the service or food. I’m sure there have been times that were better than others but nothing sticks out in my mind. We usually go when they have shrimp specials and it’s always been good. Yes, this is a chain restaurant so you should know what to expect. If you want straight from the ocean seafood you need to go somewhere along the coast!

It is what it is. Those that come to Red Lobster and expect some fancy seafood dining experience will be sorely disappointed. This is not a white table cloth establishment. It’s a chain, and it focuses on seafood. That being said, Red Lobster aint all that bad. It just aint all that special, either. Nice little lunch menu, and the prices aren’t exorbitant. My big take away from my most recent meal here was sodium. Holy crap do they salt everything to the max. In fact, the grilled asparagus was too much for my date to handle. I had the admiral’s feast and the butter was salty as all get-out, but not bad. I’m a fan of salted butter. I also had oysters which were OK, but nothing to crow about(I’m an oyster snob, truth be told). Service was really great. Our gal went out of her way to make sure we were treated well, and I appreciate that. She was hustling, and tried to make the meal something special. Kudos to you, server lady.

The smell should have been the first clue. There is a nauseating smell by the hostess station. People in front of us left because of the smell, but the manager assured is the smell was better in the seating area. The place was almost empty, but still we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. I ordered a Bahama Mamma, which I have ordered tnumerous times from several different locations. This one did not even have a vague alcohol taste to it. I really think it was cometely virgin. I politely brought this to the attention of the waitress and instead of the offer of another drink, she just brought me a small shot of rum. I ordered the lunch portion Sailors Platter.. The scampi was cold, the few small fried shrimp were burned the one bite of baked fish smelled bad and had an overwhelming fishy taste to it. This used to be one of my favorite places for seafood, but I dont think I will be back.

The waiter was very accommodating. I got my lemons! I require lots of lemons when I dine out for the seafoods. YES!~ And the food was delicious and not a buttery mess

I hated everything about this visit. I am not a big fan of red lobster on any day, but I go at least once a year with some family for my grandma’s birthday. We got there a little after 11, and it was freezing inside. I mean, freezing. I had on a sweater and I was still cold. Then, they turned the heat on and it was so hot I couldn’t breath. Then, it got cold again. All in a span of about 30 minutes. I ordered tea and it tasted like coffee. I don’t drink coffee, so I can taste it when tea is cooked in the same brewer as coffee. I told her three times I wanted water instead before I was finally brought a glass and then she didn’t take the tea away. The biscuits were cold, the salad was full of brown lettuce, and even my chicken pasta was dry. How does pasta dry out? How? Gross. Don’t go here if you want to experience a good time with decent food.

We had a 30 minute wait and when we were seated the restaurant was not even half full. They only had a few waitstaff and about 3 or 4 hostess(for what?) oh and 3 managers to stand around and do very little. When you have a twenty to thirty minute wait you DONOT have time to stand around. Those managers aren’t too good to busy their rears and wait tables to eat people seated. They had no biscuits and this was not a «busy» time We arrived at 4. We finally for our biscuits about a minute before our food and ten minutes after we’d eaten our salads The food was good but to say we had a horrible frustrating visit would be an understatement.
