Starbucks

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. We actually left without half of our order because it was clearly going to be too much of a pain to actually get what we ordered…
They messed up at least 3 other orders while we were standing there…

My wife and I have been Starbucks customers for many years. One of the many reasons we seek out Starbucks stores where ever we are, is because they always keep their standards high and consistent, no matter what part of the country we happen to be visiting.
This last weekend, we were headed to the Charleston SC region and while on the way, sought out and found a Starbucks store located in the town of Lumberton, NC. It was mid morning and we were thirsty, hungry and hoping for a nice quick stop so we could get back out on the road. We got none of the above.
I asked for a black iced tea. The woman behind the counter responded like this: «Black Tea, we’re flat out» I asked Really? You are out of black Tea? She responded with a «yep» and walked away. No sorry we’re out, no, hey here’s a rain check or a coupon for a future purchase…
My wife wanted a Chai Tea Latte, that they had, but they added sugar, (she had requested none), so neither of us was happy.
Luckily, there was a sub shop located right next door that did have black iced tea and my wife got us some food, so we then felt a little better.
My experiences with Starbucks all over the country have always been positive, until last week, when we walked into this one. It makes me wonder if their training techniques are slipping or if they just have a bad hiring manager down there.
Have not been back to any Starbucks yet… we’ll see what happens.

They have drive thru and coffee grounds for gardens. Yay!
Right off highway. Service was fast during pm rush.

Horrible, very NOT friendly. Closed when they’re suppose to be open and when I asked when they will open I was told — today… later!!!. Time to start getting to work early girls !

We were planning a stop at this exit just for the Starbucks. We arrived at 10:20pm and they were closed. I called and the lady said they close at 10 not 11pm and have not changed the information on there website.

So this is a really great starbucks in terms of a convenient place to study. Two big tables and a bunch of little tables/​couches. I am a PA student in Lumberton for a rotation so I’ve been here almost every night studying. The biggest reason I didn’t rate this place higher is the staff. They are very helpful and nice when I order… but the rest of the time they are totally goofing off and being really loud. One of them cusses all of the time dropping the F word here and there… totally unprofessional and inappropriate. And very distracting while I’m studying! But it’s the only decent place to study in the area…

Absolute garbage starbucks. Waited 7 minutes at the drive through box, with no sign of life at the other end. Finally just pulled around to order at the window itself to be greeted by a miserable dude who clearly did not give a care in the world about his job. He acted like we put him out and said all of 3 words, none of which were «sorry» or «thank you.» Typical Lumberton… Miserable service in a miserable town. Glad we were just passing through and don’t live here.

Why write a review of a Starbucks? I think at this point everyone on the planet pretty much know what to expect at one of those… I would say that my only point is that while I prefer local businesses in general, to get a Chai latte in a remote area such as this one, there is not so many other options… so I was glad it was here!

Nothing out of the norm. Steady business, neutral service, friendly staff, great coffee. Nothing really stood out in a positive or negative way. Just what you expect at Starbucks.

Regular Starbusck. Good seating inside — I hate a Starbucks that cheaps out on seating. Other than that, there is nothing remarkable about this location. It is one of the few places that seems civilized in this entire area.

UN inspired moment! Wow, New Years Day nightmare at the Lumberton, NC Starbucks. On a day of driving we were excited to stop at the new Starbucks in Lumberton Nc just off I-​95, however the 3 drinks we ordered took 20 minutes. Four drive thru orders were completed before we FINALLY brought it to the attention of the staff that we were still missing a frozen drink. We watched as the Barista completed TWO frozen drinks for the drive thru customer who was not yet even at the window while ours was yet to be started. The manager was called over, her name is Tina — no apology, several excuses and finally She made the drink. Absolutely Not representative of the Starbucks brand! Our family enjoys Starbucks, especially on our cross country road trips and has never been so disappointed in a stores customer service. We have had drinks remade happily by baristas while the line circled the building. I would suggest this new location needs exposure to the level of customer service the Starbucks branch is known for outside of Lumberton, NC —

This is a pretty new franchise in town. They had a few growing pains, starting out, but they seem to be coming along with their customer service.
But it is a pretty small Starbuck stores, so if the parking lot is full, expect a fairly long wait.
One negative though –their wifi is SLOWER THAN DIAL-​UP. That’s true when there are only four other customers in the store (two of whom were not even using any electronic devices).

Absolute worst Starbucks on the planet! The staff was new, but it took 40 minutes to get our drinks. Totally unacceptable. Go to a gas station, McDonalds or get a cup to go from the Waffle House. Coffee may not be as good, but you will be much happier for not having to wait.

Prompt service without rushing your order. I got the Grande Caramel Macchiato on my first order. It was lightly sweet at first with cream at the bottom but ice the cream was gone, it was more strong. I may mix it next time. I added two Splendas to make it better. The caramel was under my lid rather than in my drink.
This is not the best spot for business calls as it was loud with music and taking orders. I would suggest Burger King as its quieter. This Starbucks is pretty big compared to most and plenty of places to sit.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that Lumberton would get one of these.
