Rafi’s Rollin Ricans is a Latin inspired food truck that just so happened to be at Florida Avenue Brewing Company on a night that I was quite hungry. The menu is pretty simple, but I’m happy to say the food is very good! They offer burgers, chicken tenders, Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, and then fried sides such as pickles, french fries, and potato balls.
I went for 2 empanadas — 1 beef and 1 buffalo chicken. The buffalo chicken empanada seriously tasted like buffalo chicken dip with a fried shell. It was sinful! The beef was a standard beef empanada, which I found to be delicious! My dining partner got the Cuban sandwich, which was really good along with some well seasoned fries.
The owner of the truck stopped in while we were dining to ensure that we enjoyed our food, which was a nice touch. I certainly will be eating at Rafi’s again next time I see that truck!
