I’ve been here a few times and each time has been better than the last. This time in particular I was there for Father’s Day brunch! Our server, Tina, was absolutely amazing. Her customer service and food recommendations were on point. From being in the hospitality industry, I noticed she went the extra mile and took pride in not only her job but her service as well. I will be requesting her from now on when I come in! Get The steamers, you won’t be disappointed!

Was just passing through town and decided to try this place out because it had a 4-star rating. We had Cajun fried Mahi and Basa. DELICIOUS, fast and with large potions!!! Highly recommend!

We had dinner here last night for the first time. The Fishermans Platter and All You Can Eat Mahi. The food was delicious and huge portions! Service was great! Cant wait to go back!

Hit and miss, the food is good but sometimes service is slow and waitresses seem to struggle with disorganization. Hubby liked his fish sandwich & I got prime rib. It was pretty good. Music was very loud so we had to shout at each other. Perhaps they will improve with time.

First time visit was not overly impressive experience. My husband loved his salmon and hollandaise sauce. He liked the lobster bisque flavors, but not many pieces of lobster were in it. We waited 8 minutes for server to take our order at 7:30 pm on Thursday evening. The fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly, but the sauce was unpleasant. My lobster roll was decent, but not memorable. Fries tasted like they were seasoned frozen food. Floors were sticky, gave impression of poor housekeeping. Definitely room for improvement.

After talking with friends up north about steamers — my husband needed a big bucket of them. This is the place for fresh delicious NewEngland style seafood. The steamers were steamed with bay leaves and pepper corns. Served with butter and not sandy at all — fantastic! The others fried seafood platters were generous amounts of fish. Tried the Cajun fried broccoli appetizer and it delivered the spice — good portion size too. All the food came out fast and hot. Our server was on task with plates moving on and off the table quickly. Banana pudding for dessert had to travel as we were full. Lots of tables inside and live music is on Friday night outside. Great dining experience here.

Clam Chowder was really good. Service just a little slow but overall I would go again. Disappointed that I didn’t get hushpuppies with my meal though :(.

Great value, I ordered the red snapper and was extremely pleased with the size of the snapper. Sides were great portions as well. If I had to give a critique, it would be that the fish wasn’t well seasoned. I ordered it regular fried, next time I’ll try the old bay which I’m sure will have the seasoning that I like. The clam chowder was excellent. My wife order the all you can eat paddock. The initial portion was huge as well as the sides. I will be back. Too bad I just realized that they are in the neighborhood.

Mmm Lobster roll! I finally had one here, and I throughly enjoyed it. I wanted to eat it fast because it was so good, but I wanted to eat it slow so it wouldn’t go away. It was filled to the rim with lobster. I would be happy just eating it with the lettuce instead of the bread. It was a good tasty amount. I got it cold, barely barely mayo. I don’t like mayo. Melony got it warm with butter. I was very happy with mine just the way it was. I had lobster bisque soup. You can have it also with fries, or clam chowder. It was ok, a thick reddish orange soup. I’d probably want it with a salad instead, if I could. Our server Tina was great! She was cheerful and helpful! Definitely a people person who gave great suggestions to my hubby since he doesn’t eat seafood. He had the burger. She also said the philly steak and wings were her fave. This location looks older. That’s fine. You won’t even notice it when you are eating their lobster roll!

Great delicious and fresh seafood, friendly service at a reasonable price! Restaurant located in an unassuming strip mall. The fresh steamed full belly clams are must have! Cajun fried red snapper was hot when delivered and moist. Seafood medley pasta with spicy marinara sauce is also great. Our server, Elizabeth, provided excellent customer service.

Blahhh… I guess if you like greasy fried seafood, you will love this place. A little pricey for quality. It’s a small, dimly lit, no ambience place in an old shopping center.

I have to say that the food at the great catch by the taste of Boston is the best freshest delicious seafood you will find in the tampa bay area, very few places that u can find whole belly clams, fresh clam strips, raw oysters, mussels Josephine, Maine lobsters, lobster rolls, and smoked bbq ribs, chicken and sliced pork roast, also the shrimp scampi linguine is better than any I’ve ever had in my life it’s awesome, if you haven’t been to the Great Catch in zephyrhills or in Lutz, you have go there and try it out, very tasty :-) :-)

Food was amazing! Best lobster I’ve ever had! Cooked perfectly! I’ve over paid for lobster too many times but this place out did them! Tender claws who knew?! Portions are perfect even though my eyes are bigger than my stomach lol. This place has sooooo much to choose from. Ask if you want something not offered. I did and they gladly made it. Very nice kids menu and kid friendly. Casual low key place to pig out! My only pet peeve was a waitress who compulsively apologized for every single thing. «Sorry sorry sorry» was annoying and not necessary. We ate there for dinner and went back the next day for lunch! Now I’m ordering for pick up! I love seafood being from California but these Maine lobsters are way better than our spiny!

Very nice server, decent prices and OK food serving times. Didn’t sit outside so can’t comment on the porch. Just had disappointing fried clam strips near Ocala and it was so nice to get house made fresh lightly breaded strips instead of lumps of factory –made frozen dough. Everything was fresh and homemade, including the awesome onion rings.

Stopped in last Friday with my wife kids and mother as we heard they had real full belly fried clams and Steamers. When we got there it was busy as expected and the hostess advised us to try the new patio they just finished as those were the only tables available. It was only 5 pm so we thought it would be a good idea, it surely was not. 15 minutes of being out there and we were all getting swarmed by mosquitoes as their is a large standing water area right next to the patio. The server really had no knowledge of the menu, especially the«market prices» as well as a number of items being unavailable. We ordered steamers as an appetizer and I went with the lobster dinner, my wife with the lobster roll with lobster bisque. Being from New England we were excited about Maine lobster. After not receiving our steamers until the rest of the food even when asking several times before, we asked to be moved inside as the bugs were unbearable. I then received my lobster dinner, what a disappointment! The lobster had clearly been pre cooked as when I cracked into it tons of water spilled out and barely any meat! I let the server know of the lobster and she came back to tell me the manager offered us free ice cream for the trouble… Free ice cream to fix a $ 30 lobster dinner wasn’t enough for me, but our kids had been there for 2 hours and we were ready to go. Steamers were good but next time I’ll buy it from Publix and do it at home. Was really hoping this place would work out but I don’t think we will be back.

Thank you for your response George, like I stated we love your food and want you to be successful, but let’s do the math, 8 pounds every other day gives you 4 servings a day If the customer only Orders 1 pound of steamers per order. I order 2 – 3 pounds per visit. How many hundreds of customers come thru the door? And concerning the wait times, our wait was only 40 minutes long to be seated despite the quoted time of 20 minutes. so requesting a certain waitress didn’t adversely effect our wait time. That’s an understandable over site for most but when we sat and observed 3 tables around us get sat AFTER we got sat get their drinks and order taken before the first server even greet us and then 3 tables got their food, ate paid their bill, left and 3 tables RESAT before our order hit our table. THAT is the level o service I was concerned about. We were tired from work and wanted to get a quick bite and thought Thursday evening would slower than Friday and it just didn’t pan out. 2.5 hours to get a meal served and eaten is just too much. Especially a diabetic eating that late. No worries man, it’s all about timing I guess. Thanks again George.

I thought this was a good place for seafood. The steamers we had weren’t the freshest but were okay. Service was good. Soup I had was very good. There’s a patio. It’s in a pretty nondescript strip mall but has a pretty good feel on the inside. Lobster tank. Popular place. Nice to have this available in the Lutz /LoL area. Definitely a good option for seafood. and the prime rib looked good but they ran out(it’s a special one day a week). They have some decent daily specials. I always feel like if a place runs out of a special they should offer something else. but maybe that’s just me. I don’t like to feel like I missed out on anything. :)

This place serves fresh seafood with generous portions. The seasoning was properly done to bring out the freshness of seafood taste. Kids eat free on Thursday. The parents’ wallet was happy. The interior is fresh and new with TV on the walls showing sports games. There is outdoor sitting area, will be really nice in winter time. I had the regular size lobster roll and I really loved it. Next time when I’m craving for lobster roll, I will come back here.

I came here for a get-together with a few friends. Several dishes were ordered and shared, including whole snapper, shrimp linguini, kicking shrimp, scallops, and steamed clams. Being Thursday, I wanted to order the Prime Rib, but at 7:00pm, they had already sold out. Now, I have a Prime Rib craving I must quench. All of the seafood I tried was excellently prepared. My pasta was just the way I like it, and the kicking shrimp was nice and spicy. I had a scallop, and it was delicious. It is very easy to over cook scallops, but The Great Catch did a great job. The menu has a good selection(nothing too creative), and the pricing is reasonable. The dining area is far from fancy, but clean and inviting. The service was friendly, and seemed to be on point. On Thursday, kids eat free, so that’s a bonus! My daughter seemed to enjoy the fish. Overall, a great seafood restaurant.

Very interesting restaurant in the Lutz area. This is considering very good restaurant around this area. The seafood is fresh, good quantities, and affordable price. Tonight is the Thursday night and they have two special. Kid eats free and prime rib special. We arrived at 7 pm and the prime rib already sold out. We cannot beat retiree around that area that comes early. Just kidding. We start our night with the steamer. Nick is the experts in this area. He shows us how to eat it. The steamer is steam to cook first. The outer black skin need to undress from the clam body. Then it is clean in the broth or beer. Then dip into to butter and enjoy by eating it. Some has added pepper and lemon after clean it. This is a very adventurous item in the menu. I have the fried sea scallop and fried whole snapper. The snapper come with the batter coating outside. When come to whole fried fish, you want to make sure the meat inside is cook. This restaurant did it correctly. The only thing is the coating is tasteless. I prefer it to be season. However the fish is fresh and good. For fresh seafood, you do not require too much seasoning. The fried scallop is very tasty because the coating was seasoning with flavor. When you break the scallop, the meat of the scallop is like a string which means the freshness of the food. Overall the seafood is fresh, the portion is very generous, and the service is great.
