J Crew Clearance Center

Worth the 2 hour drive from Richmond! I have been going here for years. It used to be two smaller stores, but now it is all in one big warehouse store. This place definitely has better stuff for women than men. They do have a lot of men’s suits, but according to my boyfriend it’s hard to find a jacket and pants that match in your sizes. They have a very large section of bridesmaid dresses, organized by color, and they usually have a pretty good amount of wedding dresses too. Every now and then you will come across something that is damaged, so do check over everything. They run promos from time to time-​I was just there the Sunday before Christmas and they had $ 5 womens white button up shirts, ankle boots were $ 45, flats were $ 20, pants were $ 12, and a bunch of others I can’t remember. Plus 35% off everything and 75% off clearance. I’m not sure if the employees know about the sale dates in advance, but it may be worth calling to see. Even without a sale the prices are still really good, so go! And be prepared to spend plenty of time there looking through it all!

Great deals and we’ll organized! Went on a Friday and they had 75%off all redlines!(which they said rarely happens) I ended up getting 10 shirts for work and pants and plates for 80 $!

Amazing! Granted– you have to sift thru the many many racks, but great deals, friendly employees, clean dressing rooms, and hello it’s J.CREW. Shoes, bathing suits, blouses, dresses, pants, wedding dresses… They have it all! I don’t buy J. Crew anywhere else since the prices here are the BEST.

Worth the drive if you love J. crew at a discount. Lots of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, crew cuts, women’s clothing. The majority of the store is women’s clothing, very little men’s, an entire room dedicated to shoes, a section for Madewell items. They also had jewelry and scarves, although not many. I bought a pair of Madewell booties for $ 36! All leather, from fall 2014. I will be stopping by if I am driving through nearby again. The views around Lynchburg on the way on the mountain drive are also incredible!

Love this place. You get J. Crew clothing (this season, last season, samples, etc.) for next to nothing. I have gotten great pieces, shoes and more for myself, my husband and my kids. Anytime we are in the area my husband and I make sure to stop by. Take note there are TWO stores; One has bridesmaid dresses, kids clothing, etc. The other has mens suits, women’s sweaters, coats, shoes… etc. Make sure you go to both stores.

Best place to shop in Lynchburg by far! I recommend it to any brides looking for cute bridesmaids dresses too! They had so many options for such fair prices! Oh, and don’t even get me started about all their shoes!!! So in love with this place!

Went here hoping to score some deals. The «marked down» items I saw ranged anywhere from 80 to 300.00. There was a solitary rack of very outdated womens tops for 3.00. Even the shoes were ridiculously priced. I found fantastic J Crew deals at any of the 5 goodwill stores around for only 2.75! Never again.

As a former employee of this fine establishment (not this actual location), I heard about the myth, the legend… The J. Crew Clearance Center.
Where all the returns and overstock come to be reduced at ridiculous prices. I had just taken the bar in Virginia, and as a way for me to compensate what a horrendous 48 hours it was, I stopped by Lynchburg. FYI — the Wyndhurst location is closed.
I came here, which is where they have their warehouse sales (usually a weekend every month or once every other month) where everything is going, going, gone. I didn’t go to their warehouse sale, but I promise myself I would only check the store out for 20 minutes. I left the store 2 hours later.
Pants are like $ 10-​$ 20 dollars. I managed to get the Minnie Pant, which retails almost $ 90 for only $ 20. A steal. They have an entire room full of bridesmaid and wedding dresses, too. IMHO, best deals are sweaters, skirts/​pants, and dresses. I noticed that tanks and shirts were almost the same prices as the sale racks in retail stores.
Also, when I went (Aug 2013), all swimsuits were 75%. I got two swimsuits for less than $ 15 altogether (1 bikini, 1 one-​piece). I KNOW, RIGHT?
And they do honor student discounts on top of everything. So yeah, this place is amazing. I do plan to come back to snap up some work suits… so I have to find out how I am going to get back to Lynchburg now!

This place is so cool. I was literally having the worst day and found not 1 but TWO JCrew/​Madewell Outlets. I had a bad day, they do discounts. The staff is friendly.
I almost wish I lived closer to it, then realized how bad it would be for my wallet.

Moving from NYC to Lynchburg, this clearance center really fills my shopping void!
They have a wide selection of clothing and footwear, though their accessories are pretty slim pickins…
Staff was friendly and helpful, and if you’re a teacher or a student you get 15% off your entire purchase!
This is going to cause a lot of trouble on my credit card!

I love this place– great thrifting in Lynchburg– esp. if you love J. Crew. The prices are wayyy better than actually getting the item in the store or outlet. You will not get any changing rooms, so wear clothing you can try stuff on over top of. It is truly worth the drive — and even though it will be packed, you will find something amazing. I always carry cash — as they may not always accept credit/​debit cards. ***And, bring your college ID — they will do student discounts***

For a J. Crew fanatic, this place is like heaven. While it’s about a 3.5 hour drive from NoVA, the prices make the trip worth it. They have a ton of clothes for CHEAP and often have a smaller selection of accessories (always shoes very few purses). I’ve purchased some of my favorite pieces here, because I’ve found some of their higher quality items (J.Crew Collection) marked way down. Think J. Crew factory store prices on Black Friday, and that’s what it’s like everyday here. Don’t expect a similar layout to regular J. Crew stores, this is a no-​frills kind of place. The Wyndhurst store is not very far, but the selection doesn’t very a ton from this location’s. If you have time, it wouldn’t hurt to check out both locations.

This is the clearance center at the J. Crew distribution center.
It has women’s and men’s clothing. Some shoes and jewelry as well. When I was there, they had some dresses appropriate for work, but none of the bridal or special occasional stuff (go to the Wyndhurst location for these).
The service was super nice and helpful. Prices made it worth the effort it took to get there.
