Just had a wonderful visit at Maven Salon! I followed Mallory from another salon in town and I’m so glad I made the switch! She is so consistently excellent with her cuts and styles. The whole experience at Maven is top notch. From the customer service while booking your appointment to the quality final product, I have not found a better salon in town. The hair washing is the highlight of the experience and I don’t think anyone could do it better. The dark room, the quality products, and the most comfortable chairs for shampooing EVER leave you relaxed and feeling pampered. This is the place to go for great service and quality styles. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Deana has been doing my hair for a few years now and I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else! All of the stylists at Maven are awesome though and they go above and beyond when it comes to customer service! If your looking for a new salon check Maven out, you won’t be disappointed!

I am VERY picky with who does my hair and what products they use. When I moved to Lynchburg I found Mallory at Maven Salon and have never looked back.
1) Quality staff: Mallory is my go to stylist for cut, style, and color. I can show her a picture and let her run with what works best for my features and have not been disappointed. I get compliments daily on the cut and color. When Mallory was out for maternity leave I was taken care of by Deana who is also a wizard!
2) Quality service: all of my appts are booked out well in advance which is great for my schedule. I am offered a complimentary beverage (coffee, water, tea, wine). I usually also get a paraffin treatment with hand massage followed by a relaxing shampoo. I don’t have to worry they take care of everything.
3) Commitment to guests: I brought a friend in once from out of town, without notice. She was going to wait for me and then we were going to dinner nearby. Katelyn had an opening and completed a cut and color for my friend who was ecstatic. Katelyn also worked her magic on my MOM when she was in town for vacation (on short notice).
Without a doubt I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. The staff are also on the cutting edge of continuing education.

I had been going to a competing salon for years until I went in to get my hair colored purple and it took them 4 tries and it only lasted a week. I was looking for a salon to fix my hair and heard from several girls I work with and another girl my boyfriend worked with to come to Maven.
I walked in one day for a consultation and they fit me in and did a quick test strip to make sure it would last. I went back a couple weeks later and had an appointment with Mallory.
I was impressed with their salon and skills — it was a comfortable and professional atmosphere with excellent customer service. The shampooing sinks were ridiculously comfortable, they were flat so it doesn’t bother your neck. Along with the head and neck massage, they go above and beyond to make you feel pampered. They also do a hand wax dip if you get your hair colored but I didn’t get that — those freak me out. They take their time and don’t make you feel rushed at all. The color and cut came out phenomenal. I can’t wait to get my hair done again.

I am a busy Real Estate Professional in Lynchburg with a crazy schedule, they always get me in at a time that is convenient for me. My daughter and I have been seeing Mallory for 5 years. I hadn’t stayed with a Salon for that length of time without them getting complacent, causing me to seek out someone else. Lovely salon! Excellent customer service. I had a strange hairstyle I was really afraid to try but wow does it look beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for. They really know what you mean when you don’t quite have the words to explain. Finally a place I feel safe to get my hair cut without disappointment!

Maven is awesome! I’ve tried other upscale salons in Lynchburg but Maven beats them all hands down! They are so courteous, professional and on the cutting edge of styles and colors. Not to mention down to earth and fun! I look forward to my «me» time at Maven!

Just moved here from out of state and new to Lynchburg, so I was a bit nervous getting my hair done at a new place. I wanted to color my hair to cover the grays but was hesitant because the last place I went to (in Michigan) left my scalp very itchy. I saw Katelyn who was very patient answering all my questions. I got scared again when I saw her putting orange colored stuff in my hair, but Katelyn assured me that it would come out the right color. Sure enough, it was a beautiful deep brown just as I wanted. My experience was awesome. I absolutely love this place! Katelyn went above and beyond by styling my hair perfectly and I love the free paraffin dip and hand massage included. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be pampered at a reasonable price!

Katelyn did a lovely job adding some life to my dark brown hair by adding some tasteful but not so subtle highlights and finished up with a clean haircut. I wanted something and she delivered a huge compliment to my appearance. She was very attentive and thorough. The salon seemingly prides itself in professional, friendly service and cuts zero corners. I have paid more for similar services minus the end result. Very pleased with this salon and Katelyn. I highly recommend Katelyn and the experience you won’t find in your current salon.

Hey, me again!!! Had a «team building» day at Maven on Monday!!! The ladies I work with and I had a GREAT time, and we left feeling beautiful and refreshed! Oh, and love the Marulaoil products!

As a new customer to Maven, I have to say I love this salon! I’ve tried other salons in Lynchburg and was never comfortable in any of them. Maven’s aesthetic is trendy and chic, and their staff is incredibly friendly and focused on making the customer happy and comfortable. My stylist is Katelyn, and she spent time discussing what I wanted and customizing my cut and color for my hair texture, skin color, and lifestyle. She even took the extra time to show me how to style it several ways when I told her I didn’t know how. She did a fantastic job and made sure I was happy before I walked out the door. As others have mentioned, the extra pampering (paraffin wax, hand massage, scalp massage) is the cherry on top of the cake. I’m done salon shopping, Maven is my new home for cut and color!

Absolutely over the moon with the service here. I’m very very particular about my hair and Katelyn was a dream to work with. She took into account all my wants and preferences and gave me a truly gorgeous haircut. I really can’t say enough good things about this place!

I’m used to cutting my own hair at home or getting it cut at a value place, so I didn’t think going to a nice salon would matter much to me. But since I wanted to do something different with my hair, I went to Maven at my wife’s recommendation. The salon experience definitely exceeded my expectations. It was easygoing and relaxing, and I’m really happy with my new cut.

I just moved here and was nervous to do anything with my hair since I had such a great stylist in California and I have a lot of hair. Called for a last minute appointment and they found space for me. When I got there it wasn’t rushed at all, everyone was really friendly and I was offered water, coffee or wine. Perfect. They asked all the right questions and my hair turned out amazing! Even got a paraffin hand wax, head massage and face rub in the process. Would refer them to anyone.

This is not a salon for an average haircut and color… this is an experience of professionalism and pampering!

I received excellent service while I was at Mavens. I attend Lynchburg College and unfortunately got held up there and was subsequently late for my appointment. Even though I was late, Mallory was able to do a great job despite the time constraint. She gave a great head massage while she shampooed and conditioned my hair and made sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable. She took off exactly how much I asked her to and trimmed up my bangs. She was very friendly and professional as well. I would definitely recommend her and Mavens to anyone looking for a great cut in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Maven is fantastic. It’s not «cheap,» but the price of a ton of great hair days is well-​worth it to me. I have always left Mallory’s care feeling pampered, entertained, and well-​taken care of.
Color and hair products are Paul Mitchell. Cuts are fashionable and extremely well-done…I have shopped around in the past and will continue to see Mallory. :)
