This boot camp class changed my life!!! I started here last year when I wanted to do some cross training as part of my half marathon training. I ran the half marathon and decided to keep coming! I am hooked! I have never been able to stick to a work out routine. I would start and then quit after a couple of weeks. I would join expensive gyms and find that I just wasn’t comfortable. This is a great intimate environment and the class really keeps you motivated to come back. The trainers are great!

The bootcamp has the same name as the be fit bootcamp jc in jersey city. But anyway, the trainers here are not fit by any means. If I wanted to get in shape, I would like to see that my trainer practices what he preaches. After being here for a while, I have noticed that the people are not getting any results. I have seen someone lose 20 lbs in 1 year, but I have also seen that lost in half the time. This bootcamp is like a low-budget crossfit environment. You are better off coughing up the extra money and joining crossfit.

I’ve been working with Tony and been part of his classes for nearly six months now. He has an incredible story and has accumulated lots of experience and wisdom about making fitness not only doable, but a lifestyle. He’s able to speak on these things on not only a physical, but mental and emotional level. When it comes to his workouts, I’ll say that they are balanced and«full-body». I’ve been to other boot camp /crossfit style gyms and often walk away overly sore in concentrated parts of the body. Tony seems to design workouts that distribute effort across the body even when pushing its limits, and equally importantly he makes sure we have a good stretch at the end of it. He also starts off with foundational exercises at the beginning of a class cycle, and graduates it to more challenging exercises to continually nudge the body out of its growing comfort zone. Oh, and besides workouts, he has *lots* of good pointers when it comes to nutrition, so that’s something to hit him up on. Lastly, I feel it’s his genuine care for people that sets Tony apart. He’s had watershed experiences in his life that are behind his approach to fitness, and thus he understands the struggle of coming out of a rut to better one’s self. Before the summer of this year, I never imagined myself doing the kinds of workouts we do, and running multiple 5k’s, among other things. I thought I’d just embarrass myself royally. But Tony met me where I was, encouraged and challenged me, and has kept me accountable. Now, I go crazy if I go several days without moving my body around, and I wouldn’t have gotten to that point if not for his help. He’s a great guy to make a partner in your journey of self-improvement.
