Parents of young children beware: on December 23, 2015 a single man walked into the family change area and dropped his pants, exposing his genitals to my 4 and 6 year old daughters — despite being warned that he was in the wrong place. When I complained to the management their«risk management» department decided to suspend the man for 2 weeks. No other repercussions were enforced. He’ll be back in January.

This place keeps me coming back and I feel like family here. People of varying fitness levels, shapes and sizes come here-no intimidation, no judgments. Staff at the welcome desk are helpful and patient. The list of programming offered here is exhausting– swim classes, yoga, zumba, cycling, and most have time slots during day/evening to accommodate the needs of working families. Instructors are all passionate about what they do. I love the group exercise classes, and the instructors will give you good feedback about how you are doing. They are all very approachable. Yes the facility is older, not as updated as say some of the big box health clubs/fitness establishments, but they keep it VERY clean. There is a weight room separate from the cardio room, which I like because weight rooms can be very noisy. My daughter attended the pre-school program here. The teachers were professional, caring, and ran a well-organized program(this was back in 2012 – 2013). My daughter went from being a shy little girl and is now a stand out student and social butterfly. I truly feel the pre-school program here a Hillcrest YMCA met her educational goals and gave her the confidence to excel in elementary school. Summer camp is well-organized as well. The camp counselors are well-trained, energetic and greet my children every day. It is nice to see the familiar faces of the same camp counselors year after year– I can tell they truly enjoy doing what they do.

What they provide for youth and families in the area is amazing! I went to this location to attend a youth basketball game my nephew was playing in and the outlet they give the children is commendable. They also looked like they had decent work out facilities and my niece(age 5) LOVED the play area out front.
