April’s Pub & Grill

The food when delivered as ordered is excellent. One of the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had.
The service however is slow, inattentive and when approached by the supposed manager about the service, she told me if I didn’t like the service, I should eat somewhere else.
I’m going to take her advice!

Went in yesterday (Saturday) after hearing about this place via phantom gourmet on Facebook. I love breakfast food for lunch or even dinner so we decided to try Aprils. The food was excellent! My girl had a couple cocktails which the really enjoyed. My picky 6 year old ate his chicken and fries and I had an omelet with a side of steak tips. They were delicious.
The waitress was really nice and the owner came out to ask us how our meal was and ask us for any suggestions on how they could improve the place. He was very nice and the prices were great. He
Living in Lynn my entire life I love that we are becoming a place known for good food. Aprils fits right in.
We will be coming back to Aprils!

Okay, well I am now in love with this place! The breakfast items are dynamite! The service is excellent as always. I now go for the eggs Benedict every time with a side of French toast. You can not get breakfast 8pm on a weekday night anywhere else unless you want to eat at shitty Denny’s or IHOP. Aprils blows them away!

Steak eggs bennidect was friggen Awesome except could have used a little bit more hollandaise sauce, my 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich was perfect the wife and her friend said. The bartender was friendly and fast, Bloody Mary was weak even know bartender poured heavily bar vodka must been watered down not her fault I will be back

Our server was very attentive and made our dining experience pleasant. The outside of April’s looks very sketchy but the inside is the complete opposite. It is very clean and modern. We got an appetizer of chicken fingers which were average sub shop chicken fingers, my sister got a burger kids meal which was the size of an adults for only five dollars! I got the steak tips which were incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I wasn’t really a fan of the sauces they had (sweet and sour, honey mustard) I believe they make their own or at least it tasted like they did. Great concept but not what I’m used to. Overall I will be going back!

Bar and Grill that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were seated right as we came in. Waitress was nice. The tables and bar looked clean, the menus were dirty and had some food stuck on it.
Pretty decent menu. I got April’s Omelet and hubby got the Boston omelet. They both tasted good, they came with «home fries» which were more like big cuts of potato, and toast. The omelets ingredients were not folded on the inside and was more of eggs with the the ingredients mixed in .
We ordered the two buttermilk pancakes for my son and asked for strawberries on the side. They came with fresh cut strawberries. My. only complaint is that it came out with powdered sugar and I had to send it back as my son is super picky and likes everything plain. The waitress said, «do you want me to just put it back on the grill so it will disappear?» I said no because it will taste bad and make the pancake hard.
Sure enough about 3 minutes later she brought me back the same pancakes, clearly just tossed back on the grill, the tops were hard as a rock and there was still powered sugar in the side. My hubby told me not to say anything, otherwise I would have. I found that to be a bit of bad service on their part. I mean what if my son had an allergy. And I also paid for something and expect to get what I ordered and when I specifically asked for it not to be tossed back in the grill, they did just that.
That alone is probably preventing me for trying them out again for lunch or dinner.

This place is great. Such a hidden gem. I have only been here for breakfast, but it is the best around. The staff is very friendly, and the resteraunt area always seems clean and inviting. It always seems busy in side but i have never had a problem waiting to be seated or waiting for service.

I came to Aprils Pub on Easter Sunday after a friend requested this place. I read the reviews before heading there and was amazed to see all the positive comments regarding this place.
Parking here was in excess. Upon arriving inside, staff quickly asked my party to pick a seat and we easily found a table for four (not the booth area). Shortly after siting down, we were greeted by our waitress and not long after that, she pleasantly took our order. I had the ‘Boston Omelot’.
The staff at Aprils Pub was very attentive, polite and overall had great attitudes. My son also enjoyed some nice compliments from our nice waitress :)
I recommend this place to anyone in the Lynn area and surrounding cities. It’s small, clean, kid friendly and has great cooks! Yummm!!!

I’m sorry, I have tried to like Aprils. I have gone twice and both times I was not inpressed.
First vist the omlette was just ok. Second time frozen hamberger pattie. I exspected fresh.
hamburger. The french fries were very good. The screwdriver I order had OJ that was of poor quility. Staff very friendy. The Bathroom I had to use three times becaues I take fluid plls.STUNK.Everytime I went in smelled terriable.

Delicious food and very nice staff. I always enjoy eating there.

What a comfy spot! Large portions, friendly staff, and affordable. My friends and I have visited frequently for an after work drink and dinner, about once a month. We are pleasantly greeted each time. My April’s chicken salad is prepared perfectly and we are grateful for the attentive staff. Thank you for making this just the right spot to visit after a long day of work.

Living an hour away from Lynn and having no idea where to take my 77 year old aunt who is severely handicapped and in a large wheel chair I immediately went to Unilocal. Having been a server/​bartender for 10 years and at times a bit picky and critical the reviews were right on except it only gets 5 stars and I wish I could do 10. When I first pulled up I wasn’t sure as it appeared to be just a whole in the wall bar. We’ll never judge a book by its cover.
It was small but very homey and clean. The servers where made aware my aunt would be joining me and made the effort to be able to accommodate the wheel chair and very nicely. I was completely blown away by how kind and sweet the servers where the whole time. Maria was our server and her young daughter was as well. They are the kindest sweetest people. Never did we feel as though we were an imposition as some places have made us feel. Polite, attentive and mostly genuine. The gentleman at the table next to us was also handicapped in an even bigger wheel chair and they took the time to actually sit with him and cut his food for him. That does not happen! The waffles and all were awesome and the prices fantastic. I could not leave before I over tipped and wrote a note on our tab to make sure Maria knew how terrific she was. As I was leaving one of the owners was kind enough to help us out with the wheel chair and let him know how impressed I was.
Aprils is out of my way but I am really looking forward to going back.

I stopped in here and got lunch to go. I had he meatloaf with mash potatoes. It was ok… the meatloaf was flavorful, but they smothered it with gravy, which was VERY salty. The mashed were good, but nothing exceptional, again smothered with gravy. I wish that it came with a vegetable and wasn’t just meat and potatoes. The staff that I came into contact with were very nice and friendly. I will try them again soon…

To sum it up: Good food, bad service.
If you are willing to put up with sub-​par service, waitresses with attitudes for some decent food at a decent price then this is your place.
Strike One:
Waitress wrote the wrong meal, was corrected and got mad about it
Strike Two:
Asked her, options for salad, she grunted and said they only have two cut me off, didn’t let me speak, spoke her opinions, grunted, snarled
Strike Three:
Brought wrong orders to the table, was mad when corrected, came back and slammed the plates on our tables
Please train your staff on customer service etiquette. Thank you. I’m am not returning.

I’ve known Roger for a long time and he’s a very good cook he runs a very clean restaurant and the food is good the waitresses very good and they’re very call me dating there Cindy had to BLT and I have the steak tips can’t ask for a better

Great food and great service! Tried their breakfast and lunch menu and was not disappointed. I also get their iced coffee on a regular basis and it never disappoints. Atmosphere is great as well! Two thumbs up!!!

I decided to give Aprils another shot because it really wasn’t bad for the area. I was pleasantly surprised about their beautiful paint job and wall accessories that really lifted the place. Looks so much nicer. I ordered pancakes and my son ordered waffles and both were very generous portions. Definitely value for money. Have to mention that the staff was pleasant. Yup! I’ll go back.

It was fabulous!
Squeaky clean, the service was excellent and the food was delicious
I had eggs Benedict
Kids had waffles and pancakes
And my husband had steak tips with eggs that was delicious

Great Food and Staff: from Chef to Bartender Cellie, She was Awesome. Drinks on point. I recommend this Place.

Great neighborhood pub. My club sandwich was excellent and Teri’s buffalo chicken club was nom nom nom. Why aren’t more Lynn folks in here?
