Went in for a tune-​up and a new rim. My bike rides better than the day I bought it and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I have never owned a «real» bike and went to North Shore Cycle to buy my first. The experience was amazing. I was given a range of bikes to try based on the basic description I provided of my needs. I then spent more than an hour riding five samples. I was not pressured rushed or hassled. Tim and Mark were knowledgable, pleasant and fun! I bought a terrific bike and will return again. In fact I am considering getting cruisers for my folks now that they are retired!

I have been here multiple times and every time I have left very pleased. Each visit has been quick and easy; definitely recommend it

I’ve been here a couple times. Their quality work and pride in their work, good prices and not recommending unnecessary repairs makes this my favorite bicycle shop in Mass. Other bike shops in Cambridge and Stoneham took weeks to do similar work, with bad attitudes.
Recently I tried to get a derailler fixed, and they fixed it for me in less than ten minutes for $ 10. My brakes and derailer, both fixed by them, have never worked so smoothly.
I plan to get my gears and chain replaced by them soon.

Prices are fair.
Sure you could get a few bucks off by going online but who is going to stand behind it when it needs adjustment???

Brought my worn out bike in for service. Got the $ 70 tune up plus all new cables, new tires, adjustment, and a couple other parts. Overall it cost me $ 160. I probably could have saved some money by doing some of the work myself but I’m so glad I didn’t.
Wes did an EXCELLENT job and my bike is like new again. He is very professional and does great work (and also has an epic beard). I really appreciate that he took his time, I could tell he was confident in the job he did. After a 10 mile ride, I’m even more sure I did the right thing by going to north shore cycle. Shifting is butter smooth, brakes grab nice, and the bike overall just feels like new again.
I highly recommend this shop if you want to get quality work done on your bike. They also have a nice showroom and Mark can probably answer any question you have about bicycles.
Expect to get what you pay for at this shop, it’s well worth it.

This location has been there forever and now I know why. Because they care about their customers. I had an excellent experience here. Mark was super nice & so helpful. He not only fixed my flat, but also gave my bike a few minor gear/​brake adjustments, raised my handle bars & seat to the perfect height & he seemed genuinely pleased to share his knowledge. He also helped me get the bike back into my car. I explained to him how my bike is a loaner from a family member and he treated it as if he were the one who sold it to me. When I’m ready to buy, I’m going straight to North Shore Cycle. They’re trusting, honest, friendly, helpful & professional. I couldn’t have been more pleased!

We are bicycle dummies. The staff there was super friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time to explain everything to us. The price was very competitive and we love their bikes. One of the best vendors we deal with. Highly recommended!

We bought two mid-​range hybrid bikes from Mark at North Shore Cycle. I think the prices were fair, and he gave us good advice on options. The store had a good selection of Specialized and Trek models. Mark said if we weren’t happy with our new bikes we could exchange them after we rode them.
Access to the shop on Western Ave was good, plenty of parking behind the store. Overall, we were pleased with the experience, and would recommend North Shore Cycle to others.

Friendly staff. Put together a shipped bike for me, no problems. Even contacted Schwinn for a replacement piece so I didn’t have to. when I picked it up they even showed me how to properly use my new bike rack. Very pleased. Easy location, lots of parking.

Prices were competitive. In and out and riding on the lynn beach in under an hour. :)

It’s hard to find a bike shop in the Boston area with nicer staff. North Shore Cycles is a solid, local shop with a good selection and fair prices. Only gripe is that I wish they were closer to where I live.
