Rolly’s Tavern on the Square

Just went last night which was june 11 2016 saturday night had great time. Friendly staff, spacious bar, local bands play there and they have huge screen tvs and keno to.

Went To Rollys a few weeks ago on a Monday night and got the buy one burger get one free.
It was actually one of the best burgers I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, awesome roll, burger was huge and juicy, with a thick slice of tomato and lettuce leaves. Perfectomundo! Fries were excellent.
We will return definately

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend. He recommended this place so i said sure! I got a buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. It was really good. He got chicken alfredo. Which i sampled and it was amazing. We obviously got dessert. The chocolate lava cake. So good! Gotta love me some chocolate. Definitely need to come back here and try the arancini!!!

I drive by this place all the time and always wanted to try it. I ordered take out for the first time and the food was great and they have excellent customer service. I would def recommend this place to anyone.

This place seems to have gone down hill the last year or two. Used to really enjoy going here because it is so close to my house but the service has been so bad during the last two visits that we will not be going back. Before the service started tanking it seemed the food was going down too but that could have been that we were just getting tired of eating there so often. We had waited for 6 months to give it another shot and on the last visit the meal took 2 hours which was mainly because the waitress was very slow and distracted with having conversations with her friends at another table. While waiting for the her to take my credit card she was talking for about 15 minutes and I finally had to get the manager to take care of processing the bill. Been going to stonewood tavern instead now for a convenient place to eat with decent food and better service/​seating.

My husband and I sat at the bar on a recent Thursday night. The bar was about half full, and the restaurant just about the same. The bartender cheerfully took our drink order and was helpful with the menu choices. That was the good. The bad was the surf and turf — tiny size lobster with hardly any meat, and the steak tips tasted like someone dipped them in bbq sauce after they were cooked — it was pretty bad and we won’t be getting that again. I got the burger and fries. It was ok, not a huge fan of the skinny fries, but the bartender did warn us. The other thing that was annoying is the bartender never checked back with us how the food was or if we needed anything else with dinner. If dinner is being served by bar staff that is a step that needs to happen.
We go out 3x week and this is the first review I every felt the need to write.
We will come back some other night and order other menu items and see what happens.

Straight Crap Don’t Bother… Apps were the only decent thing… Dinner was more then sub par… Plenty of other options in the area… wouldn’t recommend

John the bartender was awful. Slow to serve and unfriendly. When the check came, we laid down a cc and after 10 minutes, John said, «didn’t you see the sign in the door?» «Machine down, cash only». If we saw it, would have put down a cc? He was rude and unprofessional. BTW, the sliders at Brody’s in Salem are twice the size! With all the choices in the area, Rolly’s is at the bottom. One positive note, Amy on Sunday’s is awesome behind the bar!

Haven’t had the food so I can’t rate that, but it’s definitely a good bar scene on the weekends. I’m not from the area originally and would prefer a place in Boston, but staying local, this is definitely your best bet.

Here’s if you’re looking for something local and not overpriced. It amazes me how good the quality of food and drinks are. I occasionally come here with my beau and companions. They have everyday specials (dine in only) which includes 25 cent wings and half price apps on Sunday. The wings are decent, extra crispy with good seasoning. I believe they have BOGO burgers Tuesdays — which are yum! I was a bit skeptical of their rib special, but it turned out to be really good. It fell right off the bones. The clam chowder is delicious as well! Drinks are also made well and are reasonably priced. I usually get the house margarita — $ 6.50. Overall no major complaints.

I have used their catering services a few times. I recently hired them for a baby shower 3÷15÷15. The servers were late dressed in leggings. They were supposed to set up the tables we all did because we were crunched for time. Half the food was missing and there was no coffee on the invoice. The amount was outrageous for the little food that was there. I sent Wendy the owner an email to let her know my disappointment and all she could say was «thanks for the feedback». I told her I wanted to talk with her in person. Told them I stopped payment on the check I have them. Thinking they were a good business I was wrong they are all about themselves and care nothing about their customers. Then her husband started sending me threatening emails that he would send his lawyer to the Lynn police for larceny charges lol apparently he needs education in law. So if you want to hire someone that will treat you with no respect and not care about your opinions then they are for you! They have no respect for their clientele!

Went there for lunch today. I frequent this restaurant and will also return as it is a local hang out. Went with guests that work less than a mile from the location and have an hour for lunch. Arrived at 12:10. Waited a few minutes to be waited on but that’s to be expected. When we order we let the waitress know that one person needed to be back to work for 1pm and that the wanted soup and a Wendy’s Salad with Chicken to go. At 12:45 the soup came out and was told there is a kitchen back up. She was very good at how she handled it. The person had to leave at 12:58. The sale came out about 1:03 in a to go package. Lunch was served about 1:10. I was just going to forget about it and not do a review but after I dropped the salad off to the persons work they called and said that the Wendy’s salad that normally has goat cheese and apricots as ingredients were substituted with blue cheese and cranberries and no mention that there were substitutions. Maybe today was just a bad day and I think they will improve on the 3 stars in the future as things are usually good and this the reason I return.

Food was good but the service was not great and we felt rushed. The chicken marsala with the fresh made pasta is great and the arancini is highly recommended. Tough to park and eventually the waitress did attend to us but that was at the end of the meal.

We have been regulars for along time food an service becoming sub-​par. tonight petrone margueritas mostly mix for 10.50 ea we order 4 half ice… next came dinner fried clams over cooked mostly french fries on plate. i had baked haddock with baked potato the potato was not cooked sent back only to have it returned 5 min later
still Raw on inside waitress apologized took it away the end. plenty of other restaurants
to spend money at… disappointed,

Very disappointing atmosphere on ¹⁄₂₀₁₅. Crowded and lots of yelling going on between patrons in the restaurant and «kids» (they couldn’t have been 18 let alone 21) in the bar and the language – well it was disgusting. The atmosphere was not conducive to dining. We left and doubt if we will go back. Unfortunately Rolly’s seems to have become just «another sleazy Lynn bar»! Too bad, it had a lot going for it.

Restaurant near my home that has good food and good drinks! They have different specials every day of the week. The vibe is good in the restaurant, can go when big games are on or just for a Sunday lunch. We’ve been living near Rolly’s for 9 years and it took us almost 7 years to go there. Can’t believe we didn’t go sooner!!! We sure were missing out. If you are passing through or live in the area, check it out!

Local place near my house. Friendly service, good food and a great friendly local vibe.
There burgers are my favorite, not fancy, just great quality and price.

Consistently great! Quality of food, drinks, service — all excellent! Great menu with nightly specials. Prices are very reasonable given quality and portions. Highly recommend.

Came back after having a not so good experience, but after a few people told me quality has improved, why not?
I ordered the same dish that was much better. My GF also had a good dish. Without getting into specifics, the quality has seemed to improve overall for a pub style menu. Would like to sample the rest of the menu.
