Paddy Kellys is awesome considering it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it’s usually packed with a younger crowd of people. They have beer pong tournaments on Mondays, trivia on Tuesdays, & other events throughout the week… so if you’re like me and don’t have every weekend off from work, this is a good place to take advantage of some week time nightlife. I always have a good time.

I came into the Boston area as part of a bridal party and this was my first stop off the plane. My sister(the bride) and groom chose this place for all of us to get together and start our celebrations. In total we were probably about 20 people, which was probably too much for the 2 bartenders and single cook on staff that night, but they were very kind to us. Understandably, with so many of us, service was a little slow, but everyone always got served. One of the bartenders even said she was new and apologized if she came off rude to any of us. When they found out why we were there, the staff thought it was«sick.» As local patrons came in, some even talked to us and played darts with some of our group. Also, the veggie quesadilla here was AWESOME. Others ordered food and everyone loved what they got, but I have never had such a great vegetarian quesadilla!

Actually a decent place for a wicked townie bar. Drinks are good, fairly priced and the food has always been really good. If you go here make sure to get the Irish Nachos… They will change your life.

A friend of mine tried to come in for a drink here tonight, on her 21st birthday. As she walked in she cheered to us(her friends), and was refused service because she was«too drunk». She was sober. But because she was apparently too enthusiastic for the less than hyped Monday crowd, she was turned away. No amount of reasoning was enough for the ridiculously arrogant door man. They lost out on a lot of money from all of us as a group and will continue to, because I doubt any of us will be back. So rude.

I went on Saturday night to catch up with a friend who lives a couple miles from the bar. I also went in with extremely low expectations. I’m not really a fan of Irish-pubs since they are all the same formula: a pseudo-Irish name with a random Gaelic slogan, lots of Mexican food, and really loud cheesy dance music(the youngsters call EDM these days). Paddy Kelly’s certainly followed the above formula, but for a couple draft beers(I think it’s spelled draught in Irish bars) and a grilled chicken quesadilla, it wasn’t bad at all. We stayed until about 10:30, when the Calvin Harris Pandora station came on. Oh sorry that was actually a real human DJ. The food was actually quite good and extremely well priced. The service was good and finding street parking wasn’t a problem. I can’t say I’d drive out of my way for it, but if you’re in the area or if you’re looking to meet up with a friend, it’s not a bad spot. Try to get there earlier to avoid the fist pumping.

PK’s is on the top of my short list of go-to bars. The owner, Dave, is an awesome guy who really cares about running a good business and understands the demographic. It’s not stuffy or pretentious, it’s not fancy. But it is fun, the food blows«pub food» out of the water, the bartenders know how to make a drink(thanks, Hilary!), and I always have a great time there. Even if it’s not your scene, you can always sit at the bar and play Penthouse Photo Hunt. Have the steak tip dinner — just do it. Seriously. Then message me your extreme gratitude on here. I’ll wait! Drink specials rotate to all different things(not just dark weird liquor I’ll never drink), and they have pretty much everything behind the bar. Decent draft selection including cider is a win. They have a jukebox, but you will almost never use it because most good nights there come equipped with a DJ. If you haven’t been to PKs yet, GO. If you have you know how good it is, and I’ll probably see you there sometime soon.

Its a basement bar for locals who dont like outsiders. They guy at the door checks your id then takes a pic of you with a camera attached to the wall! Wicked sketchy i know, it’s because so many fights ot assaults would happen and they can give the police suspects. Bartenders are hot chicks and they have go-go dancers on the bar every now and then. The vibe is just not inviting.

Definitely one of my favorite hidden gems on the north shore, one of the few places that you can get a great meal even late night. The bartenders are always pretty friendly. My usual go to is the steak tip wrap, they have a delicious marinade on the tips that is to die for. Great crowd late nite, and I love Family Feud trivia on Tuesdays!

Great staff, great food and great atmosphere! There isn’t a night that they don’t have some type of fun entertainment. They have amazing drinks but nothing can beat the amazing food! My go to is a chicken quesadilla but everything on the menu is amazing, especially the steak tips! I’m not from the Northshore area but I will gladly drive out there for an always fun night at this bar! Great environment all the time with amazing staff and food!

Great atmosphere and the staff it awesome! They have great entertainment every night of the week. The drinks are great but the food is even better! Best chicken finger quesadillas, Irish nachos and French fries. Anything you order you will be satisfied with! Overall awesome environment and there is usually always a place to park either in front or on a side street! Kudos!!!

Great steak tips but the service left much to be desired. Maybe it’s because we didn’t look like the locals but the bartender was much more interested in her friends at the end of the bar than in serving us. We left after eating and went to the tin whistle in Salem where the service was much better.

Usually go there on Fridays grab my usual food and drink. I don’t even need to ask the bar tenders what to eat they just put it on order for me. The atmosphere is pretty good from what it used to be years ago under the old owner. The new management is awesome as well when the bartenders get in the weeds they always have help. Wtg and keep up the excellent job.

I can only speak to the food for this place as I have only ordered take-out and never actually dined in or sat at the bar. I have actually only ever gotten food from here once but it was so good that I had to write a review. I am disappointed that I am moving in a few weeks and did not discover this place sooner because the food is amazing! My husband and I ordered the fried pickles, the broccoli and cheese egg rolls, the pizza burger with waffle fries, and the combo with steak tips, turkey tips and seasoned fries(also comes with a small salad). Lets start with the appetizers. The fried pickles were pickle spears instead of chips which I think make for much better fried pickles and they were delicious. The buffalo ranch sauce for dipping had a great flavor. The broccoli and cheese egg rolls were awesome. I was very surprised at how good they were because they sounded a bit weird but the combination works and its delicious! The pizza burger was HUGE for the price and also delicious. Seriously a great value, I have paid the same amount for burgers half that size. The combo was probably the best part. Both the steak and turkey tips had so much flavor and they were so juicy. I would highly recommend both. Both the waffle fries and seasoned fries were good, flavored well and crispy. Overall I will definitely be back at least once before I have to move. This place has some really great food at some really great prices. Definitely worth a visit. Or at least take-out.

Paddy Kelly’s is a great neighborhood bar and restaurant located in downtown Peabody serving great food, a wide variety of drinks and entertainment every night of the week. You can go for a nice dinner and some drinks in the earlier part of the evening or put on your dancing shoes and drink it up later on in the night. It definitely gets packed after 11:00pm with the DJ spinning great music until about 1:30am! The bartenders and owners are VERY nice and always accommodating to everyone! They have a large selection of beers on tap and there’s always a daily drink special(like the gigantic fish bowls!) You must try their amazing steak tips, cheesesteak sub with grilled peppers and onions, delicious made-from-scratch house dressing on a variety of fresh salads, and build your own quesadillas! Go to Paddy Kelly’s once and you’ll want to return again and again!

I’ve been going to this place through it many incarnations over the years and I have to say Adam and Dave have done well as the current owners of this place. New HD TVs everywhere, good made to order food(they’ll make anything you like if they have the ingredients) I can relax after work with a few beers before the 20-something crowd appears for the DJ at 9. A few recommendations: Steak Tips $ 5 build your own pizza Rib Eye steak special If you are in the area and are looking for a small pub to have a few beers and catch the Sox or Pats, this is the place to be.

When I first decided I was going to review Paddy Smellys I was going to give it 3 stars. I tried to think of what was bad about my experiences there(and there have been many) and could come up with a few things. The music is usually lousy and you can’t avoid some of the Peabody yah-dudes. That isn’t a good basis for a review though. I decided that how great the great stuff is out weighs how bad the bad things are. What Paddy Kelly’s is is a bar in my hometown that has dollar drafts, and Caribbean Queen on karaōke. The bathroom is cramped but I’m not there to hang out in the bathroom. There are cheap drinks, Billy Ocean, and its in Peabody. This glass is half full. 10 stars.

I think I just might be a yuppie from Connecticut. Paddy’s started out as a divey Irish pub full of locals grabbing a late dinner before the kitchen closed. But come 10 o’clock on a Friday night, the classic rock is replaced by the DJ’s booming hip hop, strobe lights come on, and a whole sect of 20 somethings start piling in. «Is this music for the right demographic?» I asked. Apparently, I don’t get out much since after a scan of the crowd of orange tanned girls in skintight jeans who straighten their already straight hair and pale young men in over-sized graphic sweatshirts, hoods over their buzzed heads, and enormous fake diamond studs in their ears, I got the answer — «Uh, yeah… it is.» Oooohhhhh. The ladies room is the size of a closet with a single stall, yet the girls like to go in packs of seven with half of them in the stall and the other half waiting outside. Be thankful if you can even make your way to the sink. The guys dance but lose their balance when they get into those brother hugs and fall into our table. The little drunk guy of the group got a little too excited — he came over, told us he loved us, and slapped us with a $ 20 to buy a round on him. We returned his money, while his friends dragged him out. Fun. So, why was I there? My friends are locals to Peabody and they promised us $ 1 Coors light drafts. Not too shabby, until you taste it and remember how bad Coors Light tastes.(If I were smart, I would have followed my husband’s lead and milked a couple of black and tans.) But the place is a bargain since we had a full night of drinking, and between the four of us our bill was $ 27(including the black and tans.) I was told they also have wings for ten cents apiece — I can’t attest if they’re any good, but you can grab a not-so-healthy dinner of wings and beer on a very small budget. But, it’s probably best to go before night falls.
