I don’t get to Lynn often, but we had concert tickets at the Auditorium and needed a place to watch the afternoon Pats playoff game. Glad we took a chance on this place! The place was packed for the game, but the staff never seemed overwhelmed and were unfailingly friendly. In spite of all the tables and bar stools being full, the manager(owner?) took the time to set us up with seats in an open area near the ATM. There are TVs everywhere, so there’s no such thing as a bad place to watch. The menu is fairly limited(otherwise we’re talking 5 stars), but everything we had was very good… especially the onion rings, which were fantastic. Cheap prices, too. Also, if you’re concerned about sketchy clientele(it’s Lynn, after all), I saw none of that; friendly faces everywhere! We’ll be back next time we’re in Lynn.

Local pub. Great drink prices. They do not carry certain cognacs or white liquor so be sure to ask first before ordering. Seating can be limited as tends to fill up quick. Bartenders are friendly and drinks come out fast. Parking can be tough since its located at the intersection in the main road near Stop and Shop.

I basically live at this bar. It is the«cheers» of lynn. Everyone knows your name and your drink. You could show up by yourself and always find a friend. Food is good, all bartenders have heavy pours and for like $ 20 you can definitely get a heavy buzz going. Most of my wild stories have started with«I was at tonys on Friday…» Also, you can always count on fellow drunks to put on blast from the past music and start a dance off in the middle of the bar. A+++

Great call here. Local spot with great steak tips. Finally have a better option instead of champions, and it’s closer than the new bridge. Beer was cold, steak tips and turkey tips were great, and saw mammoth sirloin steaks on the grill that I only wish I saw before I ordered my tips. I will be back

You cannot go wrong with the steak tips here and if they have French onion get a bowl that’s great too. Atmosphere is one of a kind. Check this place out any time!

Tonys, Tonys, Tonys. My favorite bar in the area. I just love this place. All the bartenders are friendly and the food is delicious(I’m personally in love with the steak tips and the fried pickles). Great neighborhood kind of atmosphere. Perfect place to go if you don’t feel like getting all dressed up to go out. It can get pretty packed on game nights and they don’t have a parking lot, so street parking can be hard to find when they get busy. Also they don’t take cards, bring cash!

Drink selection is great, there are lots of. People that hang out here which makes it a good place to hang out! The downfall lately to me has been the food. Have gone twice in the last 2 months and it has been average. Have been here and the food was great but seems to either declined a bit or I have had bad timing. I will return and if things improve I will update my review…

Tony’s is a great little place you’ve probably driven by 1,000 times and didn’t give a second thought to. Full disclosure — I am a fan of dive bars, but I would definitely put Tony’s a step above the dive bar category. Great sports bar ambiance. The actual bar itself is in the middle, with booths on both sides of the bar. Bartenders have always been great to us. There are tons of TVs. I mean enough that they could put every sport on at once. Keno. We’ve had their buffalo wings with drinks, and they’re really good. Their menu is pretty large, so there’s probably something for everyone in your group. Their prices are hard to beat, especially for drinks. They’re very cheap which is a big plus. Only drawbacks are parking is not great(street) and they only take cash– no plastic.

If you don’t read anything but this fist line, go to Tony’s!!! What an amazing place. You will never be disappointed. First off the atmosphere is awesome. Always a good crowd, always a good view of the games, great music volume and interactions with all the guests and especially the bartenders. All the bartenders are attentive, engaging make one hell of a drink. Strongest drinks I ever found at a bar and priced right. Been dozens of times usually at least once a week. Never had a bad night, ever! Secondly the food is AWESOME. Ive never had a better plate of steak tips than I have at Tony’s. Ive had the sandwiches, burgers, wings and chili. It just keeps getting better and better. The food is amazingly priced especially for the quality. Ive had a better meal here than most restaurants. Enough on the menu to please everybody. You can go just for the food and not be disappointed. Lastly overall the biggest reason I love this place is just to hang out. Its not a dive by any stretch. Never any fights, never water downed drinks. No pressure from the bartenders, it feels like a backyard BBQ with all your friends. Very classy place but relaxed and fun at the same time. They have more TVs than you will ever need, jukebox, great sound system, terrific cook, full lottery and plenty of parking on a well lit main street. If i had the choice between any bar in the north shore area, Ill drive to Tony’s!

I have been coming here for over a year & the bar is so well put together. Plenty of tvs for sports games, keno, juke box & most of all delicious food. Everything is made fresh, my favorite is the fried pickles and steak tips. Never over cooked & juicy. The cook is the best! The bartenders are very nice and accommodate to your every need. Their vessels(which hold about 9 glasses of beer) are only $ 20. The prices are not expensive & I love coming here on Friday and Saturday nights!

If you’ve read any of my other reviews, It easily shows how much distaine I have toward corporate operations and how they destroy the color and flare of a city neighborhood. Well Tonys holds on to the small neighborhood bar like the one I grew up with in my youth, colorful, earthy, and just plain fun to be in, I happend upon this place well driving home from work and notice the smoking crowd out front loading up on their nicotine craving, So one night I made my way into the bar, and within minutes I knew it was a good choice. It had that feel no matter how hard the big operations try with there research and focus groups can never duplicate, that wonderful intermite feeling of a true neighborhood bar. The crowd I saw represented almost every demographic one could imagine from age to race. loud and lively conversation rang from every conner, and as a new face I was quickly greeted with a handshake and an opportunity to voice my opinion on the discussion at hand. Oh how i missed that great american passed, to sit with relative strangers and speak openly of topics weather popular or not with out inciting an uprising, The bartenders are quick to keep your beverage top off and fresh and if ordering something to eat it arrives quick and to order. Just a side note on the food, burgers so good and steak tips you can’t go wrong, so give them a try. This was it what I’ve been looking for. So I visit Tonys at least once a week and it’s always great fun, the food is all bar comfort food– well prepared and priced within reason. and the bar cost are so easy to absorbe. Once more go *uck yourself all you corporate D bags and just leave these small operations alone and consider yourself fortunate you have so many culinary challenge retards to keep buying into your bullshit lie.

I love this place! The bar staff is friendly and attentive, food is great, it’s a great place to watch whatever game you want to watch, and it’s in my neighborhood. I’ve been on quiet and busy nights and the service is always great. And the onion rings are amazing. Could you ask for more?

My favorite neighborhood bar. Friendly bartenders who get you another drink before you can even ask. Buffalo shrimp is amazing. Fun place to watch a bruins or a sox game

This has been my husbands bar of choice since he was of age, and he was the one who introduced me to it. Cute inside, friendly bartenders, and a cool hook game that had me playing for hours the last few times I was there. I cannot explain it so you just need to check it out for yourself haha :) The drinks are cheap, its in my home-town, and its close to fast food for everyone who gets the drunk munchies after last call. The only thing that kinda blows is the parking, but it’s never been so bad where we’ve decided to go somewhere else. I’ve never tried the food but I’m thinking I just might have to next time & I’ll be sure to update!

I may be one of the few people in the world who go into a bar for the food and not the alcohol. And, in my case, Tony’s is a winner. My fiancé moved to Lynn earlier this year, and he happened upon this place completely by accident when he was looking for a place to eat. He actually was planning to get pizza from the place next door, but ended up going to Tony’s instead, because he wanted to be able to sit down, watch sports and have a beer while he was eating. This place has, hands-down, the best steak tips I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I eat a LOT of steak tips. They’re my signature food — I get them whenever possible, because they’re almost impossible to f*ck up. They’re also impossible to get perfect, but Tony’s seems to have done it. I always get mine medium-rare, with a side of rice and veggies. Not only are the steak tips perfectly cooked and flavorful, they’re so tender that you don’t even need a knife. In addition to that, the rice is good, and the veggies go beyond your basic steamed veggies — they’re seasoned and cooked until they’re nice and soft. The combo of all three together is pub food perfection. In addition to that, the owner(I think his name actually is Tony) is a really nice guy. After the first time we went there, he recognized us and has been real sweet and funny every time we’ve gone in. The drinks are cheap, the crowd is local but friendly, and the atmosphere is homey without being white-trash sleazy.

Beer is always flowing, the crowd is awesome and they just recently remodeled and made it bigger. The beer is cheap, and the mixed drinks are strong. Two good combos in any bar, especially in Lynn. The downside is the parking is street and at busy times very very hard to come by a close spot. But there is a pizza place next door that is open late so you can satisfy any pizza craving there while you drink. Bonus Bonus Bonus. Great group behind the bar too. I like Tony’s. It’s like Cheers but in Lynn and actually welcoming, unlike the Cheers in Boston.
