What would I expect from a 99? Average food, good service and friendly staff? Try disgusting food, horrid service and miserable waitress at noon on a Monday. Our mistake, this entire experience was gross, obviously will never be back.

I ordered take out, after 10 minutes if trying to place order because employees don’t know own menu. Picked up food and charged me fir some one else’s order. I got home one of the meals was wrong. The other meal(steak tips) several of them raw. Called and spoke to manager(Ross) he apologized and offered to send me a gift card for all the problems. That is great, however he never did! I will not be returning to the 99 anymore, poor customer service!

Disgusting and Putrid!!! Ordered fish and chips. The waitress was retarded and told the cheif to cook clams after 2 minutes I told her fish and chips. She comes back with the clams and chicken for my son. I tell her I want fish and chips from the beginning. Then she rudely asked me do I want them? I responded«did I order clams?». She then took them back. I received my fish as my son finished eating. This made me look bad as a father because am not letting my son eat. As I took a bit in to the fish it was completely raw. She took it back and it was still raw. Never spend money here!

Based on three recent visits to this location: Food is good like all of their locations(I’m not a huge«chain restaurant» fan, but I’m always happy with the 99 food quality & value). Each time I visited this location, I have had my elderly mother with me. On each visit, the staff has been very helpful & kind with respect to both her limited mobility, & special food preparation requests. My visit on 7÷9÷2015 was no exception: everyone on staff was super friendly & helpful, & our meals were delicious.

I tool my mother and wife out for lunch here earlier this weekend. My wife ordered a hamburger. When the burger arrived, she took a bite and it was raw in the middle. Of course we sent it back. Several minutes later here comes the original hamburger back to the table with the bite out of it. I guess this place isn’t particularly concerned about maintaining healthy conditions in the kitchen, I looked at previous reviews and saw the exact same complaint.

Ordered a soda. It was flat so I told the waitress. She brought another one over. It was flat too. She said they remove the ice from the bins downstairs at night so it was causing the flat soda. Why start cleaning up? It was 10:30 pm. Ordered a margerita. It was not good. Wayyy too sour and I looked at the bartender and he was staring at me when i took a sip and couldnt help but make a face… the music was ridiculously loud and as we waited for our waitress to return from whatever she was doing finally other waitresses gathered by our table to talk and watch the tv. The blue shirt girl was singing along. Its like who does this song? Lets keep it that way. The food was good. So all in all. Bad atmosphere. Bad service. Bad drinks. But good cook. They didnt have what I was looking for and I wont be back for more. Ha

I ordered a chicken kabob salad and the chicken was raw. How hard is it to cook cubes of chicken? Luckily I cut into it instead of putting the whole piece in my mouth. I told the waitress about it and she brought it back. It looks like they just took the meat and cook it again then throw it back on the salad. I lost my appetite after this since I know that the salad was probably contaminated with the raw meat. I figure they would make a new one to avoid contamination but they didn’t. No offer on a free meal or a free app or something. Will never go to the 99 again,

My husband, children and I enjoy going to the 99, especially the one in Lynnfield, which we have been going to for years. Tonight’s dinner was a different experience. The waitress spilled an entire glass of water all over my son’s lap. She apologized and we accepted her apology because accidents happen. My son unhappily sat and ate his dinner in soaking wet pants and we were not offered any type of compensation such as a free app or dessert for my son’s inconvenience. The waitress even made it a point to tell us we could upgrade a kid’s dessert for $ 1.29 more. I thought this was in very poor taste. Maybe we should have informed management but I felt the waitress should have done so. We will most likely not return to the Lynnfield 99 again.

Talk about a disappointing experience … The staff are pleasant & nice … But definitely lost my appetite about two bites into my meal when I pulled a long hair from my food. My stomach curled. As the waitress witnessed it first hand as she had come over to check on the table. This is unacceptable & disgusting … Wish I could say at least the appetizers were good, but those were gross as well. The manager Gordon came over to the table and was very apologetic about the entire experience and took care of the bill for us. Living right around the corner from here is convenient and a treat as we frequent here often. Hopefully today was just an off day.

The food is good as it is at all 99’s, the service is friendly and quick, but the music they play is intrusive and so loud that the fillings in my teeth were rattling. The staff is young, and they apparently enjoy the dissonant notes of today’s music, but when we were there for lunch yesterday the restaurant was 1⁄3 full and 99% of the customer heads were grey. The couple across from us first complained about the music, then we added our distaste too, and finally a third couple joined us. It seems almost every casual restaurant in the area has the same problem these days. I’m going to start eating at home more. I also wish restaurants in general would drop the gigantic menus with the pictures. I know what a burger looks like: I don’t need an 8X10 glossy. The menus at the 99 are so huge that two people sitting across from each other cannot both open the menus at the same time.

We went last night when the snow was just easing up! I’m so grateful they were open and the kids eat free was a HUGE Bonus! They were well staffed and friendly as could be, considering we are all suffering huge cabin fever and snow related sadness. I can’t thank the staff enough for being open and lovely!

I have been a good customer of this 99’s for nearly 40 years but the time has come to leave. The food has gone down hill big time. I asked how the Prime Rib was cooked and Erin assured me it was med rare so I ordered it. Well it was totally brown well done shoe leather and this is the 3rd and final time I will order food here. Seems the new owners are out to screw the customers and take all the profits. But not mine any more. Shame on them. Erin did take the rib off my bill but they used to cook it in house and now I think it is precooked and then reheated,

Of the few 99’s that we have been to we like the Lynnfield 99 the best. The food is consistently good for the price. Beer and wine great, not too sure about the drinks. A little stingy with the liquor so we don’t bother having one of those. The bartender Rich is so attentive that he can almost anticipate when we are going to order. He is the best but we have to give a shout out to Lisa who is also a great bartender. Everyone up there is so friendly and nice and getting a bowl of unlimited popcorn is a nice touch. Thumbs up for Lynnfield 99!

A word to the wise… Don’t order lobster in a restaurant known for beef. Our waitress at the 99 was pushing the lobster roll«it’s better than Maine seriously». Nope, it’s not! Dumping a bunch of salt on top of it doesn’t make it better than Maine. I’ll go back but I’ll be ordering beef.

Well ! Not so happy ! Sunday afternoon after work. Erin was the young Lady who waited on us, She was just fine but my meal was bad? I had the Lobster roll? I ordered the Hot one like I saw in the picture on the Great Menu. Far from the picture? # 1. It was not hot, the roll was not toasted, it Smelled like old fish and was mostly shredded if it was even lobster? I left most if not all? Wanted to bring it to a man that was walking around checking tables of others but he was listening to a lady across from our table explain that this was the worst meal she had at Lynnfield? They told her they would take that meal off there Bill, that is what I herd the Man say ! At that point I thought it best? Not to really ruin the day and just not complain? I eat at the Lynnfield Ninety Nine often, plus other Ninety Nines and I have to say I will never order the so called Lobster Roll again ! You need to go to another restaurant and see what a Lobster Roll is ! Or don’t go to Lynnfield Ninety Nine late Sat. Afternoon, maybe it’s the cook? Sorry but it will be a while # #? Al

Food was the usual 99 chain restaurant food. Buffalo wings are incredible, they are what got me interested in buffalo wings in the first place. Now the problem: when I got take out, they freakin’ CHARGEYOUEXTRA!!! Oh, you want to get it delivered to your car? They add a charge to you for takeout packaging!!! THEYCHARGEYOUFORTHESTYROFOAMBOX!!! That is one of the stupidest charges a restaurant can ever make. They certainly won’t let you bring your own dishes in to serve you on, so they have a takeout charge. If you dine in and don’t finish your meal but want to take it home, they don’t charge you, but god forbid you call up, order a to-go meal, they charge you. It’s a miniscule charge, that’s not the point. It’s pennies. The point is they penalize you for getting your meal to go! Now, they don’t even give you an itemized bill to show you this ridiculous charge, you have to fight to get one. To the 99 owner, how dare you nickle and dime your customers. For shame. You fail at business ethics and being honest with your customers.

Ninety Nine is a chain restaurant in the New England region, but the bars at all their locations somehow always have a local feel. You can tell some of these people are regulars which in itself is a compliment for a chain. This location is near my work, so went for a Friday lunch and it was just as good as the location by where I live. Consistency is everything with a chain restaurant, especially when the trend is consistent quality and good service. I had my usual steak tips and fries. They were cooked to perfection and served with cole slaw as well. We had to sit at the bar as the place was jammed at noon hour. The bartender was very busy, but also super attentive with a very friendly disposition. She was chatting and having fun with the customers, but seemed to be very efficient. If I didn’t have to return to work, I am sure that staying for afternoon drinks would have been a pleasant alternative.

I went here a couple times with family and the food was okay. Last summer I went with some friends and ordered balsamic chicken, and got horrible food poisoning. I haven’t been back since.

I’ve been to many 99 Restaurants around the Northeast. Bummer that Clare C. got sick… but I’ve never had that issue at a 99. This review is for Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 Wanted to watch the Red Sox game. Didn’t enjoy the Saugus location the last time there, and didn’t feel like going to Revere. So figured we’d try this one in Lynnfield. Sat in the bar. Instant service. Ordered the Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla for the app. it was excellent! Had a Sam Adams Summer Ale to go with it. Very nice! Also had a small caesar salad. Yum! For the entrée. Had the Bacon & Cheese SteakBurger. Medium well. Again it was excellent. Along with fries. It was the typical experience for me at a 99. Will be back!
