The food here is most definitely Korean. The sides are a wonderful touch. The main dish was absolutely delicious. I had the seared beef with steamed rice. I also had some sort of tofu soup with clams, which was served on a steaming hot plate. They also have a barley tea, which I’ve never heard of before. It’s totally non-alcoholic! They can serve barbecue Hibachi style too, which is cool. I love this place!

4⁄272011 Stopped in a couple weeks ago — They are closed again. 10/30/2010 They’re back! Evidently they were closed for a few weeks while a new owner made some changes. We were looking for Korean BBQ so we were seated at a table with a BBQ recessed into the middle of table. Pay Dirt! My wife, who hasn’t seen that since she left China, was so happy! Über hungry and not well familiar with how to order Korean BBQ and how much of what, the hostess was helpful and we went with one of the combinations(for 2) — worried there wouldn’t be enough, I ordered a couple of spicy sushi rolls and a Yook Hwe appetizer… We had A LOT of food — Too much food lol The 13 y/o can pack away as much as I can and my wife is a decent eater too. But we could have just ordered the Combination for 2 @ $ 34 and been just fine. The yook hwe was great. The banchan was plentiful, diverse and very good(they offered to refilled a couple of our favorites). The BBQ beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and mussels, all very good. The waiter loaded the grill up and returned frequently to help and answer questions we had. The cold Korean noodle soups, the salad, the egg… well, this was simply a great meal. I can’t find anything wrong with the table full of food we had. Imma fan and we’ll be definitely back.

Ok Korean food. All the food is decent. Again, you can order anything and you won’t regret it. I think the food here was a bit salty too. But still a great place to eat Korean food.

Sorabol is apparently not Korean for«prompt.» It took half an hour to even get the banchan. Given that we were ordering raw meat, it’s hard to see what could take so long. Perhaps the idea was that if the patrons are starving, everything will taste better. If so, it didn’t work on this occasion. The unmarinated kalbi wasn’t terribly tender. On the combo meat assortment, the very spicy pork and kalbi were hits, the bulgogi, chicken and fatty pork were misses. It was a struggle to get rice or any banchan refills, on a night when the place was only half-full. It’s not like this place was Terabol, but we won’t be back to Sorabol.

My wife and I went here based on some good reviews on Unilocal and weren’t disappointed. This place has everything I want in a Korean joint(clean, spacious booths, great food) without the normal rudeness. We had the seafood pancake which was a little greasy but yummy, spicy grilled pork was awesome, and the bibimbop was really good. This will be our new Korean restaurant of choice.

Went here because this place got some pretty good Unilocal reviews. The place was empty when we entered and still empty when we left. I got the soon doo boo and she got the galbi tang. My soup was pretty good, very very spicy compared to other places on hwy 99. The soup seemed kind of shallow, not much in there and I finished it pretty quickly while still being hungry. I tasted the galbi tang and it was pretty good. People raved about the ban chan, I must have came on a off night since we only got five instead of the nine I read about. Prices are a little steep, about a dollar higher per dish than comparable places up and down hwy 99. Good food and very nice interior but better choices close by.

Sorabol is a well-hidden jewel right on 99 up in north Lynnwood. It’s easy to miss as the complex is far back from the street, but I’d keep looking if you can’t! It’s def worth the drive! Sorabol serves up some great Korean dishes in a charming atmosphere that might lead you to expect a higher bill at the end of the night. The food here is delish! The kimchee soup is great, bibimbap is good, banchan a real treat to get you going! It’s good to know I have another Korean place I really enjoy up north!

Deeeelicious! I love Korean food, so of course I had to drag everyone out here tonight to get a taste of this joint that is only familiar to me in Hawai’i. It met all of our expectations and for such an affordable price! We paid roughly $ 13/each(there were three of us) for: Bibimbap Kim Chee Soup Spicy Beef Brisket & Green Onion Soup Omelet Rice (and of course banchan – about 9 sides that come with the meal) Our tea was always being refilled, and the servers were friendly and helpful. Everything seems pretty self explanitory, but the omelet rice was like a big omelet stuffed with fried rice, and drizzled in ketchup. Don’t knock it till you try it. The restaurant was very clean, and as you first arrive, you can choose to sit at a booth or bbq your own food in a separate section. Also, there’s a play room for children which is very convenient – complete with toys and videos. The sign on the building is a little misleading if you can’t read Korean(shoot, I can’t)…but once you get into the actual parking lot, it will say«Chinese and Korean Food». Check it out! It’s totally worth it!

I’ve been here twice. First time for the Sorabol special which includes beef, soup, pan fried fish and seasoned raw crab. The side dishes were good but the fish was overcooked. The second time I went we had the bbq combo. For under $ 50 you get two types of beef, chicken, spicy pork, and pork belly which is a very good deal. The kimchee soup was good and the black cod tasted good but there was not much of it. It seems that korean restaurants are trying to go LA style or American style by serving a korean version of salad with the bbq instead of the lettuce to wrap the meat and rice in. Nice, new and clean inside but often empty.

Sorabol is a relatively new Korean restaurant and is one of the better ones in Lynnwood. It was pretty empty on two visits, and unfortunately, it is a little difficult to see from the road. Hopefully, once the word gets out, business will pick up, as I hope to see the place stay. The one thing that sets Sorabol apart from many Korean restaurants is the freshness of the food. The dishes we tried did not seem overly greasy or used MSG, so everything tasted clean and light. Also, they were more generous with banchan(side dishes) and our meal came with 9 of them. The bibimbap with squid was a winner, as was the Kalbi-tang soup. The tofu kimchi was not as good, but the portion was huge. And the regular dolsot bibimbap was also very good. I’ll have to come back to try some of the grilled items later, but so far, I’ve been impressed with the quality and freshness of the food.

This was the first time I had Korean food so I didn’t have too high of expectation, but the food I ate was phenomenal. I had the bulgogi and my husband had the short ribs. The place was not busy. it was very modern on the inside. I have a new favorite food place! the prices were reasonable also. I would so recommend this to everyone! We went during lunch.

Let me start by saying that Mei and I were starving and I saw a brand new(well it opened in September) Korean restaurant which suggested that it was not only a Korean but also Chinese restaurant. Let’s stop and try, I suggested. We decided to split a plate of spicy squid with stir-fried vegatables. It was excellent. I don’t mean excellent — I mean really, really good. Yes, we were hungry but we noticed some things. For starters — it was spicy — not luke-warm — but spicy and we both like spicy food(not what passes off as spicy. It was served in a white plate — a big portion(good for two) surrounded by small Korean plates of kimchi, sweet potato, tofu, sesame leaves and more. The stir-fried vegatables were good with the spicy squid. Very, very tasty. I am only giving it a «5 out of 5» because I started slow(one dish) and it wildly exceeded my expectation. I may have to recalibrate at a future date — but for the moment — this surprised me. One thing — it didn’t have my favorite arl-soon-doboo soup(fish egg soup which I typically eat at Hosooni restaurant — see other review).
