My favorite place for al pastor tacos! I get them with everything on them and extra hot sauce on the side! One of my favorites!!!

Service is the absolute worst here. All the employees seem like they hate their job. They are also very cheap with their salsas. Never coming back here.

Their food and Aguas frescas are the best I especially like their sopes the only reason why I didn’t give them a 5 star is because they put way too much onions on their tacos and they don’t give out lime slices.

Lines are long and the food takes a while to make… but the food is good and the prices are excellent that I overlook the negative. Plenty of parking and seating inside. This place is always packed, even on slow nights. My girls always order the ASADANACHOS, my wife loves the sopes and tacos. I love their burritos and tacos. Wish they would give a bit more meat, but knowing how much ASADA is going for, I know it’s not possible. This is the closest KT to us and we come here about once a month.

This particular King Taco establishment close to Compton is thoughtfully managed. The restaurant though in the ghetto hood has an abuelo security guard strapped in case anything goes down providing its customers with safety. But once you leave that parking lot you on your own. The food is made with the freshest ingredients and they are not stingy with that green sauce. I have always enjoyed my experience here and will continue to do so.

I would like to share a comment from a person on FaceBook definitely grossed me out please read the following … This was on our lunch today. Went to King Taco in Long Beach on pch and long beach blvd and this what I found. Aside from the managers bad customer service regarding the #maggots I found on 3 burritos that I bought I was yelled at in front of other customers for bringing back the contaminated food. This is the worse king taco location I have ever been to. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONALMANAGER! Here is a picture of the mess they serve. #KingTaco

After hearing so much hype about this place me n bf decided to give it a try. We ordered carne Asada tacos and Carne Asada nachos. First of all they are stingy with their salsa and they don’t carry any limes or lemon. I didn’t see what the big deal was with the tacos, there was nothing special about them n as for the nachos they are plain n not worth $ 5. Its just corn chips, nacho cheese sauce n meet no flavor at all. I don’t get what all the hype is about, needless to say we won’t be going back.

Foods great but the employees cost them two stars. Maybe its because they’re busy but that’s no excuse to be rude to customers. I speak fluent Spanish however I ordered in English. The lady got my order wrong the first time and when I cut the line after looking at my receipt to tell her she charged me two burritos and forgot extra meat and salsa on the nachos she mumbled«chingada Madre…» under her breath. I CALLEDHEROUTSOQUICK. Spoke to the manager and everything. My food was half price after that. For those of you who don’t speak spanish, she basically said«f*cking $hit» RUDE. My meal should’ve been free after that.

Why such negative reviews ?! I loooove me some King Taco. Midnight runs when you have alcohol in your blood asking to be soaked up by greasy, tasty tacos. The line is a little long especially if it is after midnight. And YES the freaks come out at night! The sketchy neighborhood, the line, the aggressive security guard, the lack of seating. don’t be scared — the tacos or sopes or burritos waiting for you at the end of your night are alllll worth it. Finish it off with a large pineapple agua fresca and you are in for a full belly ready for bed.

Every time I call to make a take out order I have to call more than 10 times for them to pick up. & sometimes they don’t answer at all. Then why do you have take out !!! It’s really frustrating! That I have to show up and they don’t have a lot of people but yet they can’t pick up the phone !!!

I don’t understand why King Taco has so much hype. I always used to hear that the food was so good! Uhm, NO it’s not. Sure I knew from the start this was a taco food chain type so I didn’t expect too much either but at least something decent yknow. The first time I went, it was with my mom & the lady taking our order had no customer service skills at all, no smile, nothing. I was like whatever so we ordered our food. I ordered three tacos & my mom ordered two tacos & a tamale. So we got our food & I had no lemons or salsa. I asked the lady for salsa & gave it to me. What had upset me was that she said they don’t work with lemons, tf? So anyways we ate our food, they tasted blahhhh. I guess I expected too much & well I gave it another two tries & still the same.

Love the food. Hate the service! Employees always have a bad attitude. The tacos, sopes and burritos are delicious but I sometimes rather not deal with the attitude. Do visit sometimes just not often.

This is my go to place for the tacos and burritos. My favorite meat is Tripas(small intestines) but it’s seasonal so you can only get this on certain time of the year. If I can’t get tripas, I usually go with Al Pastor which is slow cooked pork marinated with combination of dried chiles, spices, and pineapple on vertical rotisserie called a trompo. It’s very flavorful and tender than Carne Asada so I always prefer Al Pastor on my burritos and tacos over any other meats besides Tripas. I tried Tripas from several different places but Tripas here was the best. They just cook it right to the perfection, not overcooked or undercooked. King Taco has been famously known for their salsa roja which is red hot sauce. It’s hot yet very flavorful and I don’t think anyone could imitate the flavor that has been kept secret. One thing that I didn’t like about was rotisserie chicken they offer only on Friday through Sunday. Since they only offer this three days per week, I thought it would be different but it’s no different than the chicken you could get from El Pollo Loco. I can get better rotisserie chicken from anywhere else in Koreatown. The chicken I got was very dry and the skin wasn’t crispy at all. I believe I got the one that was sitting in the warmer that was made quite a while ago. My tip — I advise that you get the chicken that just came out from the oven.

Love their tacos! I’ve tried their carnitas(my favorite), al pastor & carne asada, as well as their carnitas quesadilla. The tacos come with cilantro & onions, but you can request them without. They also come with 1 red or green sauce(they charge extra if you get more than one sauce). I usually get 3 tacos, and that’s more than enough for me. The quesadilla comes with guacamole, which makes it extra yummy! I haven’t been to the other King Taco locations, but the one in Lynwood is big with plenty of parking. I always try to get there before 11:30am to avoid long lines. There is usually an armed security guard inside. I love their tacos and will keep going back for more!

King Taco’s Al Paster just cannot be beat! I always get the same thing, Al Pastor tacos, a quesadilla for my son and Al Pastor burritos for my husband. Everythiing is amazing, I like their burritos as well, but like enjoying just the meat how it comes on the taco. The quesadilla is huge and comes with guac, which I love. I go for the green sauce, my husband the red, service is nice but can take awhile as they get pretty full. One bit of the meat and you forget the long wait and it’s worth it every single time!

I thought I had written a review for THIS King Taco! Guess not! For the longest time, this was the only King Taco we’d frequent because it was on the way to where we were going or where my hubby would be near late at night. Speaking of which, there is a security guard on duty. When I used to arrive late at night, I’d look for him. This neighborhood is not one I’d be in at night if it weren’t for the food and meeting my hubby for a snack/dinner! It looks and feels like other King Tacos I’ve eaten at. Uniformity is a good thing in that regard. Very clean, almost always has a person on the floor cleaning tables and mopping the floor. There is a jukebox from which loud & lively music is emitted! Oh, the tacos… they are so tasty! I mostly enjoy their al pastor, but it is hit or miss. Either good or too greasy… you never know what you’re going to get. We usually order some carne asada and al pastor. These tacos are relatively small, but perfect to pick up and eat! We usually eat about 3 – 4 tacos per person. We’ve had their nachos, with and without meat. I would rather have the cheese put in a cup to dip the chips into so they don’t get soggy. When you order chips, you don’t get extra salsa, they don’t factor in one when they give you your ration based on what you’ve ordered! They have really good tamales! I especially love their Pork Tamales. The red salsa really completes them, in my opinion. We usually bring home a dozen and eat them throughout the week. Since we come for the tacos, we’ve never tried the chicken! They do look really good, though! I take away a star for their stingy-ness with their Red Salsa. They have signs stating how many you will get per what you order. We never get enough, so my hubby buys it and we use some there & take the rest home. He hates to beg for it. I think it is something that should come with your food. I hate to say it, but truly, I think they don’t believe that that white boy can eat the spicy sauce and withholds it from him. I guess if we spoke Spanish, it might help get us in their more willing good graces. This happens at other King Tacos as well. We LOVE the red salsa, it’s obvious. My son & his girlfriend like the green salsa, it is full of good flavors minus the heat. We will keep coming here, to this King Taco and others, whenever we are craving it!

How I’ve missed you, King Taco… I like to mix the green and red sauce(you get the kick from the red sauce but the wonderful flavors of the chiles from the green sauce) with my carne asada nachos(make sure to get it with cilantro and onion!) and sopes. I got shafted on this visit because I ordered a crapload of sopes, the nachos, and two extra tacos on the side. They forgot the tacos!!!~ WHAT!!!~ It’s OK, I forgive you. I won’t even remove a star for that…
