Superior Warehouse Grocers

Its a good size store so ask for help to find things you can’t. I went to customer services and a guy named Rolfi helped figure out where to find what my picky daughter would eat

OK, so, I have never really been too hot on this supermarket to begin with, but it is the closest one to my house, so every blue moon I might mosey on over to the Frontier.
A few months back, probably more like a year or so, I went to buy some cocoa powder, which I could not find. I had an employee help me look, then a manager, and still no cocoa powder. They have nestle quick, abuelita, and Choco milk, but no plain old cocoa.
Fast forward to today: went to superior to buy cocoa powder, checked 4 isles, nothing. Went to the bakery counter to see if perhaps they could sell me some of their cocoa, but they had none either. When I told the woman working there that they had no cocoa powder in the store at all, she was just as bewildered as I was. She told her coworker and he got a funny look on his face too.
Is there some sort of Cocoa Conspiracy? Where is the cocoa powder?! BTW, they got rid of the bulk buy section because it wasn’t popular enough with the regulars. I thought for sure they would have cocoa powder there… Zilch.
So in the end, I had to go across the street to CVS for cocoa powder, which isn’t so bad, because I don’t really like giving Superior my business anyway.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and for the past couple of years I have been noticing the lack of customer service, from the bakery to the meat department to the cashier. Almost every time I come here now I have to deal with one thing or another. I had people get helped before me at the meat department just because they knew the person over the counter and my service number was a couple of numbers before. I had items taken away from the cashier with out even asking me, just because they couldnt sale it to me for the sale price because I was over the limit, and i had to tell them to put it back that I wasn’t buying it because it was on sale that I was buying it because I need it and that it didn’t matter how much it cost. Just today I was behind a lady that was paying with a 10 dollar bill with a lil nail polish on it and the cashier wouldn’t accept it (REALLY!?) .The lady said its the only one she had so the cashier made her take items out! whaat? too many bad experiences to post. I DONT RECOMMEND! I’m done with this place!

I totally agree with what Lisandra a. said about the pervs. i’ve been coming to this store for years to get food items here and there. It is REALLY disturbing when you’re shopping and then someone from behind you stops and makes a sexually suggestive comment and when you turn around it was an employee. I thought it was weird and ignored it. NO every time i come to this store during the day that same employee makes it a point to pass by me in the aisle and whisper things to me. One day i went off on him and told him to leave me alone and stop doing that.
i’m done. You shouldn’t have to actively avoid a grocery store employee. Not coming here anymore

I live in Norwalk and I went to Superior market In Lynwood CA on March 7 2013. When I returned home and unbagged my groceries a cockroach ran out of the bag. I am appalled. I will never return to this super market again. I would have reported it but being African American Im reluctant to think I would be taken seriously. I already have a hard time when i go with friends to speak to someone since I dont speak spanish, but this is the ultimate insult. The Bad atmosphere, bias treatment and infestation was ok until it was a cockroach.

Went in looking for a fruit tray for a Christmas party… I am looking for at least 3mins. so I see this sfaff worker… hello excuse me do you guys have any more fruit tray’s…you can not buy it like that… WHAT…you have to call and make an reservations then we will make it… thank you as I was leaving in my mind I kept saying, STUPID.STUPID.STUPID.

I’m not a ghetto chick like Kim G. says he goes to check out at superior. But I live and and work in Lynwood. So sometimes when I have to stop for something I go here. First of all its a pretty big store, very clean, fresh bakery, the meat is pretty good, and the prices are decent. The things I don’t like about it is well they dont have everything. They only sell what they think Hispanic people will buy. So no feta cheese, sugar free syrup, or red velvet cake mix. Just a few things that I’ve seen them lacking so far. Anyways, the main thing that bothered me was the amount of perves that come to this store. I am not just saying this because of Kim G’s comment, but seriously there is a lot of perverted mean shopping at this store, young and old. now whats up with that? Not only the shoppers also some of the workers. I had one of the workers there say under his breath as I passed by «hot mama» okay, yes I am a mama, and I can say that I’m pretty good looking, but man that makes me uncomfortable to shop there. Especially when the man was like in his late 50s! anyways thats my gist of this market.

When im in the mood to check out some, yes and im going to say it, ghetto chicks, I head out to this market. Its over on the good side of Lynwood.
Market: Really Big, has there own bakery, meat market (who specializes in all sorts of your typical meat fare-​ham hocks, pig ears, etc.)…
Isles are pretty spacious. Carries a huge assortment of traditional fare food. Fresh fruits and vegetables are your typical ethnic range for the area. Nice assortment though. Pretty cheap deals…
Now they have a hot and ready to eat section, where you can buy precooked meats. Oh, and i forgot, they have there own Tortillera, so they make there own masa for tamales or to make fresh tortillas, fresh chips, and taco shells).
