Culver’s

Culvers has great food, but this review is about the employees at this particular Culvers. I have two elderly parents, one in a wheelchair and it is difficult taking them out, especially when stores/​restaurants are not easily accessible and people don’t/won’t lend a hand. More than once at this Culvers, the employees literally jumped to help us with doors, getting to the table and… grabbing an umbrella to hold over my mother as we walked to the car. Kindness goes a long way.

Their ice cream is sooo good if u don’t mind having to wait a bit and the cheese curds are amazing !!! Kinda pricey

I have had their burgers twice. Both times I felt that they were flavorless. The only things I like here are the Reuben sandwich, the concrete mixers and the Sundaes. I recently tried their cheese curds and there was way too much breading on them. In fact there was so much breading on them that I could barely taste the cheese. Very disappointing.

Atmosphere: Great place for white people. Didn’t know if I stepped in a restaurant or some old white lady’s home.
When did I go?: Saturday night.
What did I do?: Had the Culver’s Bacon Deluxe
Go again?: Next time I’ll try their concrete mixer.

I’d love this Culvers more if two things changed. First would be the crazy amount of unattended kids and teenagers especially in the late afternoon and evenings. Second would be to add enough mix-​ins to the daily Flavor of the Day.
The burgers here are always made fresh to order and ordering with something removed or something added is never a problem. When you order a Value Basket you get a soft drink (Pepsi products) and pick one side. My favorite side is Fried Cheese Curds but the fries, onion rings, and mashed potatoes are also options I love.
They always offer Vanilla and Chocolate Frozen Custards along with a Flavor of the Day (FOD). Every day of the month there is a new FOD and some are fruity while others are candy focused. While most FODs are based in a vanilla or chocolate custard there are a few with a flavored custard like Double Strawberry where there are strawberries mixed in to strawberry custard.
The service here is always very good. There often seems to be an employee scheduled just to the dining room during busy times to ensure cleanliness. And most of the employees always wear a smile!

I only tried the cheese curds here so far… and it was good! 4 stars for cheese curds only.
